Wi-Fi keeps dropping multiple times a day. Internet provider says surfboard need updating. SBG7600AC2

I have a SBG7600AC2 for some time now. Last week it started to drop the Wi-Fi every 30 minutes or so. I called our service provider several times and they state that it's an upstream problem with the modem possibly needing an update. I searched the site for an update, but there is none. Checked the cable and connections which are all good. What is my next step please?

Firewall Blocks Port Forwarding in G36

On my new Arris G36 I tried to set up Port Forwarding because I run a small self written program to share files between all my devices. I have an old computer running a Tomcat instance and I set up Port Forwarding for 8080. However, I can’t access through a browser unless I completely disable by IPv4 Firewall settings. I can see no option to enable only certain ports

ARRIS SBG10 wont connect

My ARRIS SBG10 will not connect on some of my devices like my Nintendo Switch and Cell phones and the devices it does connect on i can not go to some websites like this help site and the playstation store or sometimes amazon. Please help I need all my devices to connect and to be able to go to any website. I have a kid who cant even log into the school website to do homework.

Being hacked, it appears. SBG6950AC2

6950 Router is still working fine, but I cannot log into it.  Getting error “Invalid user name or password, or your access has been locked due to multiple failed login attempts!”  I have been able to sneak in and change the PW, but I keep getting this error when trying to make changes to the settings.  It appears that someone is trying to log in and keeps getting locked out, but I am also locked out.Is there a way to work around this?

warranty for G36

I can’t find anywhere on this website on how to return this modem through Arris. I bought the modem a year ago and it has a 2 year warranty. I have had problems from the start and now I see it’s the modem and an Xfinity issue. It took a while to figure out the problem. Can someone please direct me on how to return it. I doubt Best Buy will help. Thank you

How to get USB Drive to be recognized and accessed in SBG6950AC2?

I have been successfully using this SBG6950AC2 router for a few years now and did not have any issues nor a need to access a UsB drive from the port on the device until now. I inserted the USB drive, two different ones in fact and both work fine on other machines; but my windows 11 and 10 machines in our house do not see them.After inquiring on the net and here and following all of the instructs such as opening the router’s webpage, clicking on USB, entering the information and such; there is still no indication that a USB drive is inserted when in fact there is.From my perspective, it appears that I should just give up and conclude ARRIS just used it as an advertising stunt to deceive customers; but low and behold, that is not me. I am here to get advice and instructions on how to make the USB port function function as it is supposed to function. I have already tried inserting two different working USB drives, one formatted in FAT32 and the other formatted in NTFS. G36 and Xbox Love

Recently purchased a G36 and upgraded my Wi-Fi speed thru xfinity. Has worked out great for all my other devices (multiple TVs, laptops, tablets, etc) but my Xbox specifically struggles to connect to the Xbox Live service. The Xbox shows as connected to the internet but fails when trying to connect to the Xbox live service after multiple years of success usage. It’s an Xbox One from ~2015 if that matters.  I’ve tried contacting Microsoft and they’ve kept pointing me back to my router. The error message varies on the Xbox but typically shows as “UPnP unsuccessful”. I’ve tried messing around with multiple settings on the SurfBoardCentral app. Obviously enabling UPnP, changing various security settings based on other posts, adding Port Forwarding, etc. What am I missing?

unable to activate the modem SBG8300 with Xfinity

SBG8300 is not showing up when Xfinity resources it. It online I can see it as a network but I cannot connect to Internet. I called Xfinity twice I reset and the connection resourced and restarted and all that jazz. It showed up on Arris website as active modem and on Xfinity but still can't use my Internet. Does anyone have any hints or ideas on how to get my internet working? Last time spoke with Xfinity they couldn't see it in there system.

G34 Modem cannot log into 192.168.0.1

I have tried multiple times to log into my new G34 router/modem at 192.168.0.1 and it refuses to allow me to signon with my credentials.I have reset the modem 3 times now and still cannot get in.I have tried also to log in after resetting the modem without using the sufrboard app, but then I have no email address to key in.Tried to follow directions to login as admin - but there is no ‘user name’ field to key into.How do I fix this?

Configured Wi-Fi in G36

After an initial setup, I configured my wireless network to have 3 SSIDs. 1) Main Family Network2) Guest Network3) IOT devicesthis setup took up a considerable amount of time and required some assistance from Arris Support.  without provocation or request, my G36 reset itself to its factory settings. ​​​​​​​any insight as to why this happened and how I can prevent it would be greatly appreciated.

How to propagate SBG8300 time server to lan clients? SBG8300

When the SBG8300 Firewall IPv4 is set to Max my Win10 client cannot sync time using external NTP servers.  I can change to the Firewall to Typical and then syncing to external NTP servers works.  But I have also configured the SBG8300 Time Server and I am wondering how to point the Win10 client at the SBG8300 time server so that I can leave the firewall set to MAX?  Is there a local IP address related to the time server?
