Wi-Fi Modems

My internet has bad latency issues. I have the G36 in just Modem mode. I have an Orbi router and satellite along with a Tether in the garage to try and boost the range. It skips when the kids plays games on the XBox and phones drop or lose connection when link to the home WiFi. I am not tech savvy. I have narrowed it down to Cox internet or the Arris. I am hardwired to arris for the upstairs Xbox but there is till latency issues. It is a problem. The boosters are on in green. I have reset everything. It works for about 15 minutes when a device connects then it has the same issues

Hello. My DOCSIS 3.1 Wi-Fi Cable Modem, keeps dropping connection randomly. I just bought it yesterday. The modem is a G34, AX3000 WiFi 6 (up to 4Gbps Download Speeds). I tried contacting Live Chat Support so that I could send the Error Log to resolve this issue, but I don’t know where to click. 

I bought an ATM Machine unable to connect internet direct to modem. Error code TCP/IP Connection timeout. My 3 other devices work perfectly on the SBG8300. Please help.

I am trying to rename my modem and change the password

SBG10, I’m locked out. How do I get past that?I can't remember my login or password.Everything is running fine, just annoyed I can’t get in. 

Is there something technically wrong with router? ISP said usage in last 14 days is 1.2TB+ . Prior to new SBG 8300 install, our monthly usage was <1.0TB. Nothing has changed except the install of new router

my sbg10 wont factory reset to default settings, i need to do this so i can connect to my new internet. i tried doing the 30 second reset where u hold down the reset button, that didnt work, tried the 30-30-30 reset that didnt work, i logged into the web manager and press the factory default button, all of these dont factory reset it, it just resets like normal, ive tried everything.

After the beryl storm Comcast had an outage. Service is now restored. Sbg10 won’t fully reboot. The 3rd light won’t come back. Did hard reset and all the other unplug fixes. Still nothing  

I have to use a new cable modem and it doesn’t have a Wi-Fi router. Can I use my old G36 only for a Wi-Fi router, not a cable modem?  TIA!!

I just bought an Arris G36 and am running Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 ; the Canon Mx 532 printer asks for me to press the WPS button when searching for the access point.  There is no button and the app does not have any way to go to WPS.  Do I need a new printer?  I don’t want to go backwards in my security or speed.

I was told i need to update my sofware, but i cant find a way to do that

Where do I go to register my new SBG10?  I suspect I need to do this in order to secure the warranty provided by same.

I recently installed an Arris Surfboard G34...I created a network name and password, but some of my devices are not pulling it up.  Any advice?

I have a hacker that’s very persistent and kept trying to sign in but I blocked him with the Fing app..he’s not on multiple scans I use but surfboard central shod he’s online in my network..can he hide himself from scans..need help..

Attempting to set up my new G36 to my Cox cable. I have registered the device with Cox. I am connected with a solid blue light. I can't complete set up using the app. If I navigate to the 192.168.0.1 site, I can see a dashboard, but haven't got a password to log in. What in the heck am I doing wrong. 

If I click the above in the surfboard app Or if I try on Laptop: after I click LOGIN both spin and then shows this:I’ve had browser message before but it used to work. Now it doesn’t.what can I try to fix it thanks    

I bought sbg 10 and no matter how many attempts, Xfinity can't find it to activate. How do I resolve this?

I literally just got home from buying a G34 Cable Modem for my home Xfinity network. However, when I go to activate the modem in the Xfinity app (the only way to activate it), it tells me that the CM MAC ID is invalid (I’m using the HFC MAC ID). I’ve tried manually entering it AND using both QR codes from the insert and the sticker on the bottom of the modem. Same result. I contacted Arris support, and they told me the HFC MAC ID matches their records. They had me try to activate again, same result: invalid MAC ID. I also tried using the Surfboard app (not Surfboard Central). It, too, tells me that the HFC MAC ID is invalid.  What am I doing wrong?

My g36 typically runs well with no issues. I have recently been issued a hp 840 g10 laptop for work. I have Xfinity gig speed. The hp laptop is the only device running slow at about 30mbps and the speed is the same hardwired or on wifi for both the 5 and the 2.5 network. When I go to the office I get over 400mbps. I have done all the normal trouble shooting but can't seem to find a way to make the connection faster. When I plug the same ethernet cable into my ps5 I get over 500mbps. Please help?

I have an SBG8300 and it is constantly blinking. The online and wifi are both blinking. I have tried unplugging rhe coaxil and power multiple times but it just does the same thing every time. I have also tried the factory reset button and it still does nothing. I let it sit for hours expecting it to eventually settle but it continues and I dont know what to do.

Attempting to help by clarifying a couple of things that I saw from an earlier post that has since had the comments ability turned off.This unit does not contain what we Xfinity users have come to know as eMTA jacks on the back to handle voice service directly from Xfinity.  I used to have Xfinity voice service but several years ago migrated over to Ooma.  The Ooma device, depending on which model you have, will either be ethernet only or ethernet/wifi.  I just activated my G54 unit last night but have already found that my Ooma device, connected by ethernet cable to one of the ethernet jacks on the back of the G54, is working as expected for both incoming and outgoing calls.  

I am trying to hookup my modem to a coax circuit that already has service and a modem with AT&T. AT&T support has said that I should be able to hook the modem up and it will work. However I am getting an Xfinity activation pop-up, which is the ISP I had previously.I am not sure what the issue could be, but can these modems be pre-programmed for a specific ISP? I bought this a while ago and do not remember what I had done at the time.If this is just not possible to do then that would be helpful info as well.

My internet company gave up on trying to help me.  When I try to connect to my network I get an error message that says “This network is operating on WiFi channels in use by several other nearby networks.  “  Tells me to try restarting my network and maybe it will help.  I restarted 4 times… same message.  Help
