Wi-Fi Modems

I have a new G36 with spectrum as service provider : I recently spoke to spectrum for the reason of slow speeds and continually intermittent connection. I have 1000 mbps and 6 month ago I had spectrum come to my house run a new line inside and out side . Can I get a solution for this I dint find any other way to contact you for service and spectrum blame the issue on my modem . Thank you

This morning my wireless connections were working but I had no ethernet hardwire connections. When I checked the router, none of the Front Panels lights were illuminated. I logged into my router and checked Gateway>Hardware>Front Panel and Lighting Mode was set at Normal. No firmware updates were reported to be installed. I contacted my ISP to check my connection which was at full speed. I proceeded with a Gateway Restart which re-established my ethernet Hardwire connection, then performed a Factory Reset and Unplugged the Router for 1 minute. None of these procedures restored the Front Panel Lights to illuminate. Is there a new Firmware Update that I can download and install? I currently don’t have the link to Arris Firmware Updates and need that link to see if this will solve my issue.

I just did a hard connection to my TV with an Ethernet cable and all I get is an amber blinking light

I randomly lose access to Xfinity for all MAC filtered devices on both frequencies. Working with Xfinity via their app and chat is truly frustrating. A power off/ reboot does not resolve the issue of the gateway connecting. I end up having to connect my PC to the G34 and set both 2.4 and 5.0 to “Allow All” and save both configurations which negates the use of the manufacturer’s MAC address, All devices will then connect to Xfinity internet. I then change both 2.4 and 5.0 to “Allow” and my devices are then able to connect once again to the internet. This lose of connection appears to be random as to when it will occur. The fix always appears to be going to “Allow All’ and then back to “Allow” for MAC filtering. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is occurring, and why making the change back and forth for filtering resolves the issue?

I recently purchased an SBG7400AC2 Modem for a Public Static IP. It was one of 4 modems approved by my Cable Provider when purchasing a static IP. I was given a gateway IP, Netmask, Device IP, and DNS servers. I was told by the cable company that I do not change the WAN settings and to leave it on DHCP. I thought this was odd because I thought the Static IP was on the WAN side, but anyway, When I try to set up a network using the provided public IP, I get an error message saying it was not a private IP address range, and I needed to use 172., 192., 10., etc… Am I receiving bad information from the Cable company or is there something else I need to do? My goal is to set my Unifi Dream Machine Pro to the Public IP address provided. I have tried pretty much everything I can think of. I even put the static info on the UDM-Pro and set the modem to bridge mode, but no luck. Thanks in advance!

Is TP Link compatible with SBG8300? TP Link AC 1750 wireless. purchased to get rid of Xfinity rental modem. I have 4 computers, 3 TVs, tablets and phones. All devices are operating unconnected to modem/ wi fi i need to know if they are compatible and is this device going to operate all my computers and devices with adequate speed. If so, I need step by step instructions to install.

I have the SBG8300-89A5-5G modem. I set up a new password and it connects (usually) with all my devices. However, it will not connect to my blink camera. When I try, blink says the password isn’t correct (it is I have checked it numerous times and it matches what I have it set as). This hasn’t been a problem with my old modems. I have tried to reset the modem and the blink camera. It will still not connect. Very frustrating!! Help!

Activated this thru my internet provider, he says he sees it connected and all looks good to him, but neither a wired connection or wireless works. Can access webpage when wired with a designated ip. Cant access using auto ip. No wireless devices will connect. Wired device using designated ip will only get you to device webpage, no place else. The wireless networks are broadcasting, and accept password but dont connect.

New G36 cable modem/router. I only have the primary and one guest network enabled. The others are disabled but the router is broadcasting 15 or so ‘wave_xx’ SSID. They shows as being unlocked but you cannot connect to them. I’ve thought there may be a bug where you have to enable the network, then disable SSID broadcast, then disable the network again. This didn’t help. I’d like them to not broadcast. Any ideas?

I have to disable and enable the IPv4 DHCP server to get it to hand out addresses at least once per week. It’s been doing this since I bought it and installed it a month ago. I disabled the IPv6 DHCP server, but that has not helped. I tried to find how I upgrade the router, but I haven’t had any luck finding that. Hi All, I have a network created by a Arris SBG8300 modem/router. I am trying to access a remote Synology NAS running Plex on a DIFFERENT network. The SBG8300 firewall is blocking access to the remote NAS. I know this because. When I disable the firewall, all devices on the SBG8300 network can access the remote NAS and Plex server. When I access the remote NAS and Plex server from any other network, I can connect. The problem is definitely the SBG8300 firewall. So how configure the firewall to allow traffic through to the remote NAS and remote Plex? Thanks!

I have dealt with Arris Cust Svc 4x and have had Sparklight Techs out 3X to figure out why I cannot get more than about 250mbs download speeds through ethernet connection. I have a 600 mbs plan and should be getting very close to that via ethernet. Sparklight checked the incoming signal to the router and it came up 950mbs. Throughput from the router registered in the low 300s. Sparklight says it’s a router problem, Arris says the upload power is too low, currently at 41. Sparklight says they do not run the power any higher than that in their system and says that the power difference is not creating the low speed through put. Arris says it does. Sparklight will not change the power settings. Arris had me change the WiFi channels to lesser used channels saying that it could make a difference even with Ethernet speeds? What???? So I did a factory reset, changed channels and everything else exactly as they said, waited 24 hours, did a power cycle…..no joy….same issue. I’ve had this router

reset router many times but to no avail. wifi pops up as connected but won’t connect to internet. a router problem since this is for all of our devices

I need to change my wifi security to be able to connect my Canon MX922 printer to my G36 router, apparently. But when I go to the Arris login page (192 168.0 1) it says that my login credentials are invalid and that I need to use my email address from the app, which I am. It doesn’t give me any other options. I can see all of my network info on the screen at the login screen, I just can’t modify any of it without it accepting my login. I’m about to lose my mind. I’ve spent so many hours trying to do this over the last 2 weeks I just want to scream. Now I can’t even use my printer cable hard wired into my computer to print, I used to be able to before.

Over the last week several time for no reason G34 restarts. Amber blu and green led fronts flash etc.. All Ethernet in back go dark at start. Sometimes when it reboots I get usable internet for 2-3 minutes then reboots again and nothing. Unplugged it last night. My ISP is Astound in Chicago area.This morning plugged back in booted up and has been good for an hour. ALSO HOW CAN I FRLASH THE FIRMWARE UPDATE???? Don’t tell my m ISP will do this . I own this G34. Any Ideas??

Can i connect a switch to the 10G port on the G54 ?

Some how my login password, which is password, expands to numerous ********** and will not allow me to change back to password. Tried clearing cache etc but no lunch. Need some help so I don't have to keep putting in default passwords for wifi access. Thanks,

I try to log in to my G34 router via the browser GUI settings and it says the certificate is not valid in any browser used, Chrome, Firefox. I was able to log in in December 2023, but have been unable to since. I have updated all browsers but to no avail.

how do i connect my arris g54 to my arris 133 mesh system

I have over 50 wireless devices in my household from “smart light bulbs, Amazon Devices, TVs, Xboxs, Smart Phones, Smart Energy Meters, & Home Security”. How many wireless devices can this router truly support. I am fully aware of how many routable addresses are available by default, but this device seems to become inconsistent around 30 devices or so. Any help would be great… and I still hate the fact that I can’t access this device using the mobile application without having to go through the entire setup phase again. This may become a $200 paperweight very soon. Cheers :)

I have an SBG10 modem and router. I have used the default login info and can check status but I can’t figure out where to go to manage devices. Anyone know how to guide me? TIA

Yesterday, a technician from Xfinity came to my house for wiring. He said everything was fine with the line, but no internet connection was found. He said I have to set up something with the SBG10. I followed all the instructions in the manual, but the internet connection failed. I can see ARRIS-7E05 and ARRIS-7E05-5G in the Wi-Fi list on my laptop. When I connect to them, the internet is not working, and the connection is not established. One strange thing is that if I connect them with my iPhone, I can only access YouTube and Google. When I access Google and click on some other links, I can't see anything. All other websites are not accessible. What is the problem? Is there something wrong with Xfinity?

Hi Arris, I am trying to set up the android app and trying to connect to the modem. But the captcha always says incorrect captcha, though the correct characters were entered. I repeated this step atleast 30 times before giving up. Is this an app issue on andoird. Please don't insult your self any more by replying " enter correct captcha it should resolve the issue ". I can upload a video if needed to show your superior app in action.

I live in a place with many WiFi access points around me. In order to get good connectivity, I set my 5G radio control to manual and select a free channel. It works well and i get good throughput. The problem is that even though the control is set to manual mode, every morning when i start working, I find that the radio has switch itself back to one of the very busy channels and i have to login a switch back. It seems that in “manual” mode, it lets you select a channel, but it still does an audit every day and overrides your selection. Also, the view the WiFi’s view of channel use is different from my computers view. I would like to be able to force the router onto a specific channel and lock it.
