Wi-Fi Modems

I recently installed an Arris SGB8300. Prior to installing, I almost never had issues with audio during my meetings. Now, the audio frequently cuts out for about 3-5 seconds. I can still see peoples’ mouths moving and the live captions pick up what they are saying but I cannot hear it. During meetings, I am connected to the 5Ghz network. I have Breezeline/Atlantic Broadband for an ISP. Here’s what I’ve tried:--reset gateway--connect to ethernet--turned off guest networks--audio with multiple sets of headphones (corded and wireless) and straight from computer speakers--happens in both Teams and Zoom calls, also happens when private listening to Roku streaming--run speed tests (very fast internet) and wifi analyzers--manually changed network channelThe only thing that has fixed it without fail is switching to my phone’s hot spot, so I am pretty certain it is the gateway. Is there a setting I should be looking for that I am missin

The router is weak. The wifi signal won't reach the bedroom from the living room in a thousand square feet home. The manual claims the router covers 2500 square feet. Is this common or do I have a defective device?

First off. I get this:  Next I get this:  When I click OK. It just brings me back to the screen shot above in a negative feedback loop that I can’t get out of. This is using my PC. I also tried using on my Android device and get the same messages and negative feedback loop. This needs stop. Why does Chrome redirect my request to an https? Why have the Director of IT with Arris not been effectively able to have his/ her teams create an effective work - a - round for Arris customers? Please help me understand what I need to do to correct this so I can access my router.Thank you.Greg

Is there anyway to REMOVE a device from my connected list (IE: DELETE it from my ACTIVE list)Without BLOCKING the device or RESETTING my entire router. My problem is that i need to REMOVE my device entirely from being associated with my router, to allow me to reconnect it to my network. But it seems this router can only REMOVE a device by placing it on a block list? HELP PLEASE!

I have been having an issue with my Arris SBG7400AC2 modem/router S/N 1BK5 G244 5300 017Recently I have had to re-boot the unit multiple times a day. I have confirmed that the connection from my provider (Optimum) is not the issue.I have confirmed that my unit is still under warranty. How can I get a replacement?

Does the privacy SBG6782-AC model have a “privacy separator” or “wifi isolation” feature?  I am trying to set up a wifi enabled printer, and it works great to print from phones also on wifi, however my PC running Win11 using a hardwire can’t find the printer. Thanks

I have a magic jack voip device connected to an ethernet port on the G34.  Incoming calls often go straight to voicemail.  Most calls (incoming or outgoing) will drop if they last more than a few minutes.The Magicjack device works fine on the gateway provided by my ISP, but I prefer to use the G34, if possible.  The Magicjack also works fine on my sons network (an Arris modem with netgear router).I tried disabling SIP and forwarding ports 5060,5070, but the problem remained.Perhaps unrelated, but I also get dhcp ipv6 error messages in the event log every 2 minutes.Any suggestions?

Can the G36 act a “node” in a mesh network?  If possible, I’d like buy one or more mesh nodes to extend the G36’s WiFI range.

Tried google and tried the manual and have not yet found a satisfying answer.  I have a limited amount of data from my ISP and my kids will stream all day every day if I let them, I don’t want to blacklist their devices, or even put timelimits on them I would like to throttle their data so they stream in lower quality and use less data.  I have not been able to find any sort of QoS or throttling settings in the Arris SBG10 UI.  Any Ideas? Thanks!

so i turned on parental controls on my phone bc someone didnt want to go to bed and now my g36 wont reach or load the login web gui or the app. i turned it back off using my laptop bc it was the only way to access the settings. surprised it actually loaded it. hope i dont have to reset my router its a pima typing in all the keywords and websites to keep the certain ones off unwanted sites. what went wrong..? ive done this before and have had no issues. ive tried power cycling my phone and router for 10 minutes cleared history and cookies. when i got the laptop to login i made sure the settings are turned off. so i should be able to browse freely like a new installation but it still wont load the web gui on my phone. can someone chime in and help a fella figure this out. much thanks in advance!

wi-fi connects to the phone but does not open the page.  Two lamps on the modem do not light up, online and data transfer.  What to do?

I have searched everywhere in the configuration settings (192.168.0.1) and don’t see where I can backup the configuration settings to use later in case I have to restore to factory settings.  I then could quickly restore my settings.

Will the new Arris Surfboard G54 that is coming out soon be compatible with Comcast/Xfinity?Thanks.

I need to find complications with Arris SBG8300 and Eero devices

I just purchased my new Modem model SBG8300. I have Xfinity speeds up to 800mbps and upload speed of 200mbps. But with this modem I get 300mbps download and like 10mbps upload.  Any help or advice?

I see the G36 has the option to bridge any of the ethernet ports. Does selecting one of the ports to bridge place the entire G36 in bridge mode? Or is it possible to bridge only one port?

It does not seem to like me so far. I just got everything set up–I followed the instructions to a ‘T’. I downloaded the app, went through the steps, got connected to the network, but I am still receiving error messages like “The Wi-Fi network does not appear to be connected to the Internet” and “No Internet Connection.” On the Surfboard app, I received a “Cannot connect your Home Network. Configuration failed for your router” error message. The kind lady over at Cox helped me troubleshoot as much as she could, but ultimately directed me over to Arris. What do I do? Is this something I can fix or am I just better off calling customer support? Thanks!

My HP OfficeJet, pro 8600 is having trouble connecting to my new arris router. The printer says to check if MAC address filtering is enabled I don’t remember setting that up all of my more modern devices have no trouble connecting to the router. Can I get some help in connecting the printer to my new router?

I have a surfboard 6900 AC. Earlier I could access this admin portal on my safari mac. Now I cannot. This is the screen I get (attached). Looks like maybe the new OS of Mac or safari doesnt like my modem anymoreOnce I put my login details- the new page takes me now where. However, when I try to access with my iPhone, I cam access the admin portal. 

Is it possible to schedule a periodic reboot of a G36?

I'm pretty tech savvy but I can't seem to solve it. Modem is powered, internet coming in, neither of those seem to be the issue. The ethernet cables are working, anything connected to them has internet. But the wifi won't allow any connection. They, the 2.5 and 5, both appear under default names, passwords established in surfboard app won't work. Every time I go into the app they appear under default names, then I expand settings and the name that I assigned to them appears then disappears once I collapse it. I have reset the modem by unplugging it from both ends a few times, using the reset button, even using the app. Nothing is working. My phone can connect to the wifi but there's no internet. My security cams and other devices won't even recognize the default names or accept the passwords

WOW tech said all is well on WOW’s end.  He said it was a bad modem or possibly a bad device on the receiving end of one of the signals.  How do I confirm I have a bad Arris G36 before I buy a new one?The Arris has been dropping signal with no flashing lights on the back of the unit where the cables plug in.  I have to reboot to get it restarted.  Seems like it will keep signal for a while, then off it goes.  The front light was solid blue with zero lights on for the individual cables being plugged in.  I bought the unit new from Amazon in January of 2022.Thanks…Jeff 

When I travel for extended periods 5-6 weeks, my ARRIS Gateway G36 loses internet connection preventing me from connecting to my wireless security camera. Therefore, I ’m looking for a reliable method to restart it daily when away from home. I believe a simple restart of the gateway will clear/fix this issue.

I have been trying since yesterday to change my network password. All my attempt to access the 192.168... login has failed. I have rest my modem countless times without any luck. I keep getting invalid password when I used admin as user name and password as pw. Can anyone help?I will appreciate it. 

Hello, I am having intermittent wifi connectivity problems with my iphone 14 Pro. It will connect at times, and then a few hours later will disconnect on it’s own, and it’s not related to where I am in the house. When it disconnects, there is no way to reconnect it, by forgetting the network, nor restarting phone. A few hours later, it will come back on on its’ own. This issue has survived a reset of network settings, and a reset of the phone to factory settings as well. No other device on the same wifi network is having any issues with connectivity. I called Apple and they said I need to update the modem/router firmware. I looked on the webpage settings for the modem/router, and it tells what the firmware is, but there is no option to update it. Does anyone know what the problem could be or is there some type of update to the firmware?
