eMTA - Voice enabled Modems & Wi-Fi Modems

The internet on our computers has gotten much slower that Xfinity says it should be.  Xfinity is blaming the modem (a 4-year-old SURFboard).  There may be something to that as my phone says the speed is 300 to 400, but one computer consistently usually says around 90Mbps (sometimes 50).  The other computer never gets above 30Mbps.  The computers are hard wired through a switch.  The switch also connects 2 smart TVs and 2 Roku devices.  If it means anything Netflix can be a little slow to open, but we’ve never had issues with lags while viewing.

I reset modem once again. Put the PW I want to use. Now AGAIN just like with all my modems I cannot get past the PW to get into modem. The guy on phone at Arris said I could. But User ID was the same Admin. Its something I must be missing can anyone help! I did reset to factory settings two times still no joy! I own Surfboard T-25 Modem. I am paying for 1000 MBPS thru my ISP. The best speed I have been able to get thru speed tests is 400-450 MBPS. ISP said everything checks out on their end.When I connect laptop to Ethernet port on Modem I receive Unidentified Network Connection so I am not able to test the speed there.

I’ve received a notice from Comcast that my usage is 10 times normal but my usage hasn’t changed. It appears someone has accessed my connection. I’ve tried to log on to the Gateway to explore what’s going on but can’t remember my username. Help!

I have an Arris TG2482A modem in my house which I have been using for quite a while now. I like to play multiplayer games on my PS4 and at first I didn't have any problems with it; I'd get a NAT type 2 or moderate. But overnight my NAT type changed from moderate to strict, and now I can't play most online games anymore. I tried enabling UPNP and port forwarding but to no avail, I still have get NAT type strict. As far as I can gather, port forwarding should be enough for me to get NAT type moderate. Does anyone know what else I can try? I also tried activating DMZ for my PS4's IP address band that unfortunately didn't work either.

I currently have a ARRIS SURFboard SBV2402 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem which connects to Comcast/Xfinity cable service and includes Xfinity VOIP phone service.  I’m currently dropping my Xfinity phone and switching to Vonage VOIP.  My question is whether the VOIP capability  in my ARRIS  SBV2402 can be repurposed to support my Vonage VOIP connection.  That is, is there some way that the SBV2402 can do the job of the Vonage adapter box?

I’m struggling to connect a new camera to my home system. The camera manufacturer’s support team thinks that it could be due to Bonjour / mDNS being blocked. Can anyone confirm whether this could be the case? If so, how can I unblock it?

New SVG 2482AC connected with Ethernet cableTivo Bolt uses Cablecard from Comcast/Xfinityconnection to old router only stopped recently.Old router  is the exact same model as the new routerThis is the model recommended by Xfinity/ Comcast The WiFi on this new router works fineAfter activating the new router one of the TV’s on the network ( which uses a TIVO Mini ) connected to the network through the TiVo Bolt and I was able to watch Live TV. Within five minutes of watching the live tv the connection was lost. When I tried to reconnect to the network I recieved the error message ROUTER NOT FOUND. And there or code was (C107) 

SVG2482AC.  I can dial out with magic jack, but no incoming calls.  MJ says I need to disable SIP and ALG.  Can’t find where to do that.

I am unable to access the admin page using the LAN IP address 192.168.100.1 as it says site cannot be reached. Also when powering up xbox it tells me to connect to the internet. I am hard wired to the router and it says NAT type is unavailable.

I’d like to know if someone could answer this question, Which Arris Router/modem is comparable to the Xfinity Xfi Arris Group, inc. TG3482G Router/modem, or Xfinity’s Gateway rentable router modem combo? Similar specs, etc.?Thanks

I work for a small ISP. We have been given alot of the Arris  TG862G Modem’s. I have been looking for a way for us to access them of the wan side. However, I have not been able to do so. If any one knows how I can make this work. That would be great.

Arris app can't find my network from my phone settings, even tho I disconnect modem for 10 secs, then clicked on Retry 

Arris SVG2428AC slow. Also, 5g network no visible for sign-on.  I don’t know how to restore defaults or if that would help.   suggestions?

I just connected an Arris surfboard SVG248AC to replace my Xfinity ,Comcast rental, modem/wifi.Now when I go on line,,  The websites  thinks that I am in a different state( West Virginia, not Pennsylvania  ) I been in touch with Xfinity 3 times and they can’t find anything wrong on their end and is suggesting it’s a problem with Arris modems, my friend is also having the same problem with his Arris modem and Xfinity Has anyone ever had this problem? 

I’ve been noticing a decline in bandwidth over the past year using my Arris SCG2482AC modem (purchased in Aug 2020).  I pay for 600mbps service with Comcast.  The Comcast technician just visited and cleaned / replaced the external cable connections and confirmed there was no degradation in the signal.  A year ago, my test (using Ookla’s Speedtest) yielded 700mbps with a hardwire connection to the Arris modem (all WiFi devices disconnected, VPN turned off).  During the past few months (same configuration), the bandwidth dropped to 300mbps even after performing a reboot.  The most recent tests (just before and after the Comcast technician’s visit) resulted in tests ranging from 450mbps to 500mbps.  He couldn’t explain why I wasn’t seeing any better speeds and blamed it on the modem.  I can’t imagine a two-year old modem is the cause, especially since it previously delivered excellent performance.  Do modems degrade over time?  Mine is inside (68F-72F, low humidity

I’ve not found anybody who has had a similar experience, but please forgive me if this has been answered before.I have a SurfBoard SVG2482AC that I am trying to use in bridge mode. I set it up successfully a week or so ago, but then decided I wanted to change the SSID login off of custom to make it easier to access. I factory reset the modem, changed the settings, and now I cannot get the wifi to broadcast. I’ve factory reset the modem a number of times, tried  googling solutions, and am completely stumped. Nothing I do seems to work, the US/DS light blinks consistently. The 2.4/5ghz light will blink in unison for a moment every time I power cycle the modem, but they stop flashing and never flash again, until I try another power cycle.Is there a setting that I am missing in the setup that is causing this issue? When I factory reset the modem, the device has no issue broadcasting both 2.4 and 5 ghz signals and I am able to connect to them. This ‘only’ happens in bridge

Want to shut off Internet access for my kids at a set time each night, any way to do this?

Devices connected to Ethernet ports are no longer working, but Wi-Fi works fine. I checked the cable connections and they seem to be fine. I tried restarting the modem couple of times, but no success. This happened earlier and it got resolved itself. But this time around the ports are no longer responding.

I would like to know how I may change the WiFi Pass Key from my device?

My modem/router stops working.  To get it to work again, I unplug it,  open the battery compartment, disconnect and reconnect the battery.  I’ve had this modem/router for a little over four years.  I’m wondering if the problem might be that the battery is wearing out and if so, how would I get a new one?

Purchased new T25.  Using successfully with Optimum internet.  Trying to log in to modem (to change DNS).  Does not open welcome page to change admin credentials.  Goes directly to status page.  Holding reset button for 20+ seconds did power cycle only???  software version 11.02.142, so not “after 11.02*****” which supposedly restores factory settings with held reset button. How do I restore factory settings and set up credentials?
