eMTA - Voice enabled Modems & Wi-Fi Modems

I see 2 different T25’s with different specifications. Are there 2 versions? On older one and an updated one?I see one with “32 downstream x 8 upstream DOCSIS 3.0 channels, 2 downstream x 2 upstream OFDM DOCSIS 3.1 channels” & 2GB max speed, and another with “32 downstream x 8 upstream DOCSIS 3.1 bonded channels and 2 downstream x 2 upstream OFDM channels” with with up to 10GB speed, without any mention of the DOCSIS 3.0 spec.What’s the difference?  Hardware, firmware, or something else?  Thanks!

I just got an SVG2482AC modem/router in order to activate my Xfinity telephone service.  While setting it up, it appears to NOT have the ability for Guest Networks.  Very surprising since my older Arris Surfboard SBG7580AC DOES have a Guest Network feature, but can’t do telephone. My questions are:  Is creating Guest Networks even possible on the SVG2482? - I would like to have one each for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. If not, how might I configure the old SBG7580 to re-purpose it to be a WiFi extender (or access point?) and use it strictly for a Guest Network?  It would connect to the new SVG2482AC via wired ethernet. Thanks in advance.

what is the latest firmware?

My SVG2482AC will not connect to Xfintiy internet.  Xfinity support was not able to help me with this.  They want to come out and look at my service.  I belive they will charge me because I own the modem.  Any suggestions how to get connected to the internet?  I hae reset the modem several times and it still will not connect.

Deleting device moves it into Parental Controls as blocked device.  Deleting at Parental Controls returns back to list of Devices.  Full circle, can’t figure out how to release the IP address and get rid of the failed device.(Headers are blocked from editing, this should say “SVG2482AC - how to remove deleted device AND remove reserved IP address?”)

My surfboard T25 suddenly stopped connecting to internet and all modem lights are constantly ON even after I restarted and resetted multiple times.

is this svg2482ac cable modem updatable ?  there is problems with disconnecting a couple of times weekly and my landline shutting off after 30 minutes of use.

I just activated my new wifi and voice modem and I didn't see the option to create the wifi password. How do I change the wifi password now after activation?

Xfinity just raised my upload speed from 25 to 100, yet I do not get the higher speed, even after restarting the T25.  Should the T25 be able to support 100 UP?  Is this an Xfinity issue?  As usual, XFinity is brain-dead on this topic.

I am trying to change my WAN Default Gateway Address (IPv4), but I have no idea how. Can someone please help me with this?

I use an Arris SVG2482 AC modem/router and would like to improve the range of the WIFI.The router is set on factory default settings (channel auto) however the signal is weak in the areas furthest from the router. The router is located in the most central room and with a Xfinity cable connection.What Mesh WIFI product will connect to my router without having to create a new SSID while giving me the best possible extended WIFI signal?

I recently installed a new T25 modem at home. Everything seems to function OK but when I try to login to the Web Manager at 192.168.100.1 I get a 404 Not Found error. Does anyone have any idea what I’m doing wrong?

I’ll try this subject again.  The front panel leds on my T25 panel are so dim  they almost appear to be non functioning.  They only way I can confirm is the unequipped telephone line 2 is several shades of gray darker than line 1.  They may have been that way from the beginning, but can’t ever remember seeing a lit LED be so dim in brightness.  Just wanted to know if this is normal.   

I have many devices in my home that are connected to my Arris modem. Some at 2.4 and others at 5 GHz. How do I connect my alarm system to the 2.4 GHz? I need to separate that device and make sure it's on the 2.4 GHz. Can anyone help?

I wanted to turn off some of the Wifi  because I don’t need all of that EMF.The first time I disabled the 5.0 in the control panel and it seemed to shut it off.   In the status panel it showed inactive and the LED indicator (for 5.0) on the modem went dark. At some point since then the LED light started flashing again even tho the status still says inactive.Why would the light still be flashing if it’s inactive?And what made it change?You can turn the wifi off, either individually or altogether right?  Thanks

Sorry IFCR, not ICFR.  Though I am having no issues, my ISP (Xfinity) was looking at my modem on their end and are stating:“that the IFCR is too high. I was unable to log-in to the router so I did a factory reset and I still cannot log-in.  I have internet, I just can’t access the router to change the password or network names.Any suggestions??Adam
