Arris Touchstone CM8200 becomes unresponsive when power goes out and generator comes on

I recently got a whole home generator, and have found that when the power goes out and the generator kicks on, my Arris Touchstone CM8200 internet modem goes into a weird non-functional state, and it doesn’t provide internet again until I unplug the modem and then plug it back in. When it is in the non-functioning state, the power light is on, and the second light from the top (the receive light) is blinking. But the bottom 2 lights (send and online) are off. And oddly, I have the modem’s power cord connected to a UPS, and when I unplug the UPS from the wall outlet, the UPS kicks on, and the modem continues to work ok. The non-functionality issue seems to only happen when the generator kicks on.

How do I setup dual band capability on sb6121?

I have a sump pump alarm I am trying to connect but it will not work on 5G. How do I configure my modem Sb6121 to accept my new device? I tried going to the modem’s ip address but there was no way to change the settings.

I just got a gaming router and trying to put this one in bridge mode Never tried to change password or anything on it and can’t log into it I’ve tried the default admin and password as well as admin and last 8 of serial number any help.?

Cannot log in to set up website

I am having trouble logging into the http://mysurfboard.local website in order to set up my Surfboard SBR-AC3200P wireless router. The website will not load. Have tried doing a factory reset and that doesn't help - any ideas? Sometimes the page doesn't load and sometimes I get this error message

Arris DG4550 - Measuring Signal Strength

I have downloaded an app for iPhone called “iWiFi”. I have measured signal strength AT the Arris router/modem, model DG3450. Best is -75dBm. Worst is -82 dBm. BUT, I have -79 to -85 in my office 20 feet away from the router. And this is sufficient to get decent speed tests, but I would like faster. I want to add access points, but FIRST, I want to confirm that I have good wifi signals from the Arris router. I think I should get a reading in the -30’s at least, when I measure AT the router. I think I should be getting a much higher reading. My ISP is Hargray, and they supplied me with the Arris modem, model DG3450. I have confirmed that the modem is NOT in bridge mode. Any suggestions? TG2472G No Keyword Filter in Parental Controls

My Arris TG2472G router doesn’t have the option for keyword filtering, it only has trusted MAC ID and website restriction. How can I add in keyword filtering?

Password Changed on Router

This morning I got a notice that the password had been changed on my SURFboard Model SB6141. I noticed the message first on my thermostat and then realized that all devices were no longer connected. Does this mean that my router was hacked? How would I be able to reset the password?

SBG10 install, blinking send/receive

On install I followed the instructions, but the send/receive light remains blinking even after trying to reset it or power cycle. Everything is plugged in correctly, but still nothing has changed. The wireless 2.4 and 5 GHz are on as well.

192.168.0.1 won't display settings

Hi! I’m trying to adjust some modem settings, but when I sign in to http://192.168.0.1 the dashboard doesn’t show me anything except login settings for my arris account. No modem configuration settings anywhere! Has anyone else run into this issue before? How can I get the dashboard to display modem settings? Thanks!

Can't change wifi name after logging in SBG6700AC

My modem was reset to factory default settings after losing connection. It’s now back up and running, but I can’t change my wifi name/password. Of course, Safari was the only browser that let me access the router, and I was able to log in, but I keep getting this screen when I log in. The only links that work are for the Arris website (which redirects to CommScope). I have a SBG6700AC which otherwise works fine. Is there another way to access the wireless gateway?

SB6141 Cannot Connect to SmartTV

Hello, I have an older SB6141 that came with an old Cox Internet subscription that I still use, I have no problem connecting to my phone or laptops but when I try to connect to my SmartTV it tells me my password is wrong (my password is not wrong). I just purchased a new TV today hoping to alleviate the issue and I’m running into the same problem even through the Google Home setup. What is the problem here? is my router outdated? Thank you for any help or insight.

Modem SBG8300 has no internet with light on

trouble logging in

I want to change the name and password of my internet but every time i got to login it says invalid credential. I typed in the browser the 192.168.0.1 to access the login screen then typed in the “admin” username and “password” password yet it says invalid even though it tells me that I have yet to setup an account. Wondering how I can get in.

Continuous Profile Seeking sb8200

Multiple times a day, my SB8200 modem is cycling through the process to select / apply the best Profile. It is a set of three lines that appear in Event Log beginning with: US profile assignment change, MDD message timeout, and CM-STATUS message sent. It is not clear which of the three is the ‘first’ in the series. The logs are followed my my MAC address and the address of the CMTS-MAC address at the other end (COX). It cycles between Profiles 9 13, 10 13, 11 13, and 12 13. The modem / service seems to be working fine otherwise, but this continuous cycling makes me think something is wrong. This began about 3 days after a senior Cox tech was on site to fully clean my install including eliminating some ingress sources which coincidentally resulted in now showing blue 3.1 Upload in addition to 3.1 download. SURFboard Firmware Flaw - Event Log Page

Is anyone experiencing a problem with firmware TB01.03.001.16_091322_212.0A for SB8200 and other modems for the Event Log page. The problem is two-fold. There are lines of ‘frozen’ text in the upper left corner of the Event Log page referencing ‘Confirm Settings’ but there is no response when clicked. Second, the Event Log is not populated. I have the problem when using Chrome to sign into my SB8200. I have confirmed with a Cox Corporate engineer responsible for modem testing that this a flaw. He asked me to try the work-around of clearing the Chrome cache which did work for some of my PCs, but not others. He also suggested I try other browsers and I confirmed the problem does not appear with Edge after I clear that cache. He did not offer any further comments how he is working with Arris to get a repaired firmware load to push. He did not offer if it causes any other problems with the modem. Arris DG3450A does not give option to view browser history or history logs of visited web sites or anything, is there any way possible to see browser history or viewed web sites of devices connected to the wifi.
