Modems

I have errors in my event log on my SB8200 after enabling LAG. I am on firmware AB01.01.009.36.02_022720_183.0A.NSH , I have read that Arris has fixed LAG issues via firmware updates. Spectrum tells me they are not responsible for firmware of non-leased devices, and that I need to update the firmware myself. What can I do? Update: Spectrum says “only firmware I am seeing for that model device is for the Version 6 Docsis 3.0”

I have same thing happening with SB8200, like every week or month it would drop down to 30mbps and power cycling the modem is the only way to fix it, I am in Phoenix.

How do I ensure that WIFI is turned off (not transmitting)?

Hi,Up until recently, I have been able to access the modem info via a browser using the IP address.  Recently I have been unable to do so.  I have tried all the IP addresses listed on the internet without success.  I have used both chrome and safari.  Sometimes I get a message saying the site is not secure, but even when I click “go to site” nothing happens.   Please help me access the modem setting for my SB6141 on my macbook pro running Sonoma 14.5.  Thanks

I've been trying to talk to someone on the phone or even live chat but neither one exists you keep sending me in circles this is no way to run a business but a good way to get a bad reputation all I want is to get my refund on a SB8200 that I purchased on 5/08/ 24 my order number is 59472 you tell me I can but just try getting it just give me the info I need to return it and I'll be happy, I already see a lot of unhappy people on your community site.

My S33 modem is connected to our google wifi and the other day it went from working to this amber or green ish color and nothing is able to even detect that it is working at all. My wife tried calling and the guy even said during the trouble shooting process that it might have just broken but has anyone else had a similar issue or problem and is there a work around?

We recently purchased a surfboard cable modem at walmart.  When our new internet was connected we realized we did not need the modem.  When we tried to return it, it was out of return time frame.  The return desk informed us to contact your website to see if it could be returned directly to you.  The modem has not been opened.  Can you help in any way?ThanksCindyhu

I've had the same modem for 4 years, never had an issue, yesterday my xfinity streaming device froze so we turned everything off. Now I can't get anything to connect to our network. When I search for available networks it shows up and all lights on the modem are blue, but nothing will connect to it, on my phone and computer it asks me to sign in and when I click that it takes me to a link for xfinity that says I need to activate my internet. Talked to 3 different people who all have different answers and that everything looks good to them so a tech will come out in 2 days. Anyone else ever have this issue? Do I need a new modem?

Hello good people of this community.  I've just ran into an issue with my Arris Surfboard SB6183 modem.  My phone was showing connected with no internet.  I unplugged the modem and separate router and plugged the modem back in first.  It's lighting up the power light solid and then the others are flashing in order until it gets to the bottom light and then goes solid and starts all over again.  I chatted with someone from Spectrum and they had me do some troubleshooting, which I had done already.  They can see the modem had been offline for about 30 minutes at that point, but no other help besides contacting the manufacturer.  So here I am.  Any ideas?  Thanks for your help in advance.

I just set up a new connection says I'm connected without internet still

I bought a brand new modem so I could get 2gb speeds from my internet provider as my old modem was unable to do these speeds. When I hooked it up and had it added to my account it gives me a blue light saying it’s connected. The cox representative told me it was good to go but I didn’t have internet access. I called my router company and after factoring resetting it we were unable to get on the internet. They had me trying to go straight from the modem to my desktop and it still wouldn’t connect to the internet. I had a technician  come out and he tested the line and it was good and was confused on why the modem was working but not letting us on the internet. Is it possible I got a bad router from factory? I spent 200$ on the modem so I’m hoping this is not the case but I’m not sure what else to think at this point. 

As the title says, for the last few months we’ve had our internet dropping out randomly, multiple times a day. Our ISP Xfinity finally came out and they replaced outdoor connections, and tested indoors but the S33 v2 lights didn’t register internet drop though he was holding the cable.  When tested on their modem, it showed internet loss immediately and the internet was stable. Would like someone to tell me how I can fix this as we work remote and this is unacceptable. 

HI , MY S3 bought July 2023 , stopped working yesterday…  I supposed it was Xfiny error, and I ask for a tech visit… The tech showed me that the problem is my modem. EVen though the light is green , is not working at all. The tech showed me the service up and running, and we tested with another modem he brought ..  The problem is my S3 . Thanls for all your help , this is a medular device for me , for my remote job. Thanks

The modem was unplugged due to loud hissing noises, it was working fine. Unplugged s33 for 15 mins to let cool down and when I went to plug it in it never booted. Orange light for 10-15 secs than flashes to white for a sec back to orange light for 10-15 secs. Never connects don't see it on Xfinity side and I'm unable to get into web portal either. This product is under warranty would like a replacement I've gone through hours of troubleshooting.

I just purchased the SB8200. I have activated it with my ISP (Spectrum).  Everything seems to be working on their end. I can’t get it to connect to my gateway eero 6. I have internet when connected directly to the computer from modem, but cannot get the eero to come online

I need a modem that has port forwarding capability for use with Spectrum Cable ISP.  Wireless not necessary.  This will be used with a Luxul router and switch.  What would be the best choice?  Thank you.

I recently switched service providers but I am still showing my old one on the app. How do I change this and is it affecting my wifi?

For the last several weeks to now almost daily, my S33 V1.0 Arris Modem loses upstream connectivity first (and then all connectivity) typically in the afternoons. The outage can happen for minutes or hours. I sometimes lose connections at other points during the day, but almost daily between 1-3pm.  A few things I've noticed in the error logs:16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 5 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 8; Chan ID: 3; DSID: N/A CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 7; Chan ID: 3 4; DSID: N/AI also noticed that only 1 Upstream Bonded Channels is locked - Channel 5. Channels 1,2,3,4 and 11 remain Unlocked (sometimes they lock). Power level for Channel 5 is 58.0 dBmW and all other channels range between 51.3-55.0. All Downstream Channels are locke

I just bought an S33. Originally it was kinda working but not correctly. So I started messing with it. Now all the channels say locked. All the upstream and down stream. I talked to spectrum last night and they said everything was working correctly on there end. How do I fix it?

I installed a new surfboard SB8200 modem with a EEros wifi mesh system to replace my rented modem from Spectrum.Everything installed smoothly and everything wifi works good except for my Honeywell wifi thermostat. I have a Honeywell T6 wifi pro thermostat. I used to be able to control it from my phone. But ever since I got the new modem it doesn’t seem to work.I called Honeywell support and we figured out the thermostat is not receiving an IP address. So they told me to call my cable (Spectrum) provider who told me everything is working fine. So I called Honeywell support again and someone new told me to contact the modem support. Is there a solution for this issue?Thank you

I geolocated my IP address and it reports in the wrong city. Is this a function of my ISP or is a function of my modem (SB6190) ? I requested this be changed through MaxMind.com but wanted to understand how this is happening.
