Hello,I have been having internet issues for a couple weeks, it will randomly drop for less than a couple minutes and come back, there is zero consistency on when it happens. Just enough time to get kicked from a game, for my phone to reject the wifi, etc. Cox is basically no help and just tells me to buy a new modem with zero reasoning as to why, they just want my to buy their hardware and I refuse. Internet says connected with no internet. Internet provider says its the modem. 

If DECO router is connected to Ethernet port 1, will port 2 be ok to connect to my WD external drive?

When signing into the web manager tool for my SB8200 cable modem, it responds to both 192.168.111.1 and 192.168.0.1. This causes a problem for me in that a router in my network can only be managed using 192.168.0.1 and when that is entered, it only goes to the Arris login screen. I cannot get to the router no matter how I’ve tried.Can I, as an end user, somehow delete the 192.168.0.1 IP address from my SB8200?

I have to remove four Systimax 2.0 jacks from a patch panel.  These jacks click in easilu, but I cannot remove them to save my life.  I’ve tried a small screwdriver on all sides of the jacks, but they will not come out.I’m on a time crunch with this project, and I need to remove the jacks by Thursday.  If there’s a tool I need to order, I’ll need to do it today.Thanks!

So xfinity was in our neighborhood and they sent a notification saying there would be a service interuption and would be restored by 6:30am the next morning and that came and went then i called xfinity and they said it should be resolved soon and it never did so they sent a technician and he couldn't figure it out the only thing he could come up with was that it was an issue with our router/modem but it couldn't be because our router is brand new. So he got a wifi router from his truck and hooked it up and it worked. So i don't understand how. We have never had a problem with our modern before so all of the sudden after xfinity did something it didn't work anymore.

Before I buy the S33, does the Eero 6+ router/extenders work well together?

Tech was here today and eliminated everything but the modem I got yesterday. So I go to Best buy and swap it. Get home and this modem has exact same problem (that's 2 new failures in a row). I can't expect that kind of new-bad rate from Arris, can I?

My modem just stopped working randomly. I restarted it multiple times. I tried resetting it by pushing the reset pin up to 30-60 seconds, but the white light never changes. Is there usually a visible confirmation that the reset worked?I finally had a comcast technician come out and I am using a rental modem.But just in the off chance somebody knows the problem, please help. The white light stays on and never changes colors. Also, can we ship the rma back in the original retail box only? It is pretty well protected in the retail box.

I have a Netgear router with ACCESS CONTROL turned on but NOT blocking new devices. My S33 modem seems to have valid connection lights (solid blue) but none of my wifi devices have internet access. Connected/No Internet. Everything works fine with my older cable modem….

I am trying to install my new S33 modem however it is not an option in the app for installation so I don't know how to set up our modem 

Purchased a S33 V2 but when I login to the Arris portal it states that the hardware version is V1.0.  Do I actually own a S33 V2, or did they put a V1 in a V2 box. I searched this issue, and the only answer seemed like a canned response from the manufacturer saying they source components from the same places - this is not an answer to the question being asked.

Hello, Yesterday afternoon my internet cut out and I have been unable to restore it. I checked with my ISP and they aren’t showing any outages in my area, and tried resetting my network on their end but are unable to communicate with my modem. The upstream light on my SB8200 consistently blinks despite resets and factory resets. Cannot get DOCSIS 3.1 running on my new sb8200. Lights on the front always are green. Checked the event log and there are critical error saying the config file will not load.Have xFinity coming out on Wed. but don’t think they’ll be able to fix it unless the tech is aware of this issue and there is a fix.From what I’ve read others had this same problem - wondering how it got fixed so they get full speed and take advantage of DOCSIS 3.1.

Bought my modem jan11 2023 and the auto check said the warranty expired oct23. The customer service office is closed for some reason.

Problems with my SB8200 Modem (purchased 06/11/2023), I can no longer restart my modem without restarting it many times to get it to work. I have what is called a net reset device NetReset that would automatically restart my Modem and router everyday but can no longer restart the modem unless I restart it many times to get it to work.If you restart it or the power goes out it will reboot like normal with the 4 lights on the front all on solid when booted up from the top down Solid Green, Solid Blue, Solid green, and solid green and the light on the back will be blinking green like the internet is working but router tells me connected but no internet, even if you connect a computer or laptop directly to the modem it tells you the same thing connected but no internet.So then I have to restart the modem and

This is a similar topic to: My ISP is Comcast and recently I have moved away from the OEM gateway they provided. I bought the DOCSIS S33v2 Surfboard to replace it, but I am not able to get anything near the advertised 1Gbps download and 200mpbs upload speeds. On the Comcast gateway I can get 900mpbs download and 200mpbs upload, with the Surfboard only 200mpbs download and 5mpbs upload.  I am not sure if there is a misconfiguration on my end, or on the end of Comcast. I have already called Comcast and they said they would fix it, no difference hours later. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot the slow internet speed on the modem myself?

Hi, I recently bought a second hand SB8200 and went to the events log at the web interface and noticed there's a constant 'FW update initiated' followed by a 'FW update failed due to incompatibility' every time I either reset the modem or every few hours or so. I'm aware I'm way behind in FW updates and that my ISP is supposed to update it, but for some reason it can't or it won't take it. I've talked with Xfinity agent through both their app and Reddit, the first telling me that they couldn't see the modem as online and the latter saying that the update Arris provided to them is not good and that this modem has a lot of problems with many ISPs so they couldn't do anything until Arris fixed it. I'm trying to get it updated cause from time to time I lose internet connection and apparently it's because it's trying to update itself but because it doesn't work, it resets briefly, enough to ruin games or streaming, and sometimes connection slows down permanently, needing a modem reset. I

Where do I find the Network and password to sign in on my computer?  It’s not on the bottom of my modem.

I just bought an SB8200 and in addition to having issues with connecting to Xfinity during peak hours (still don’t have an answer on that from Arris or Xfinity) I am trying to download Fing.  When I go through the initial set up where it says it’s sending an email to download and set up, the email never arrives. Any suggestions?

I have spectrum internet at my lake house. 8 years ago installed a SB 6141, working great until last few months. now intermittent disconnections. I am guessing that the modem is likely outdated, and I need to upgrade? does this make sense?
