Is the SB6183 compatible on optimum internet at 50-100 mbps?

Bought the SB8200 about a month ago, it is V3. Direct connect the modem to desktop, got into a strange page per shown. ISP is Spectrum. Research online, I used the last 8 digits of S/N, and admin, get nothing to next page. My goal is modem password change. Thank you.

I'm recently having frequent losses of internet connection with my Surfboard SB6121 modem. These have been fixable (so far) by restarting the modem or having my ISP do a reset. The log shows two error codes that happened at the times of these interruptions: Z00.0 and R02.0. Please explain what these codes mean, and what needs to be done to fix the problem. ~ Thanks in advance for your help! ~ Ken Winter

I recently installed S33 to take advantage of Comcast 2G+ package. After a few hours with various teirs of comcast tech support, it was concluded that the S33 can’t be configured to work at the expected speeds. I have been a satisfied owner of the SurfBoard T25 and hoped the S33 would deliver the same satisfaction but sadly, this is not the case. Upload speeds of 5Mbps just does not do it. The findings were that a “Boot file” Comcast use to activate the CM reports itself as “INVALID”. Arris - please work this issue out with Comcast or stop advertizing the S33 as Comcast compatible so other customers are not misled. Thanks.

i have an sb6141. i just hooked it up a few days ago. it was working off and on, and a quick unplug re plug seemed to fix it while i tried to figure out its errors. xfinity can see it, but it wont connect to internet or reset. they say to contact arris. the phone app is useless pretty much cause it wont hook to the data for it so i can figure out the error. this is new so i am very unhappy. Any suggestions

Surfboard central wont open

New modem and router. Modem upstream is blue. Modem downstream not lit up. Internet is kind of slow, pixelated/buffering at times and will kick me off of some apps. What do I need to do?

My S33 modem is working fine but makes a lot of noise - a constant fluttering/chirping/skipping sound. I’ve had it for about a year but recently moved it close to my desk where it’s driving me crazy. Is this normal? Are there other routers on the market that are quiet? I use Xfinity. Thanks.

Do these cable modems require a phone line or cell line for installation? We are in the mountains and the voice lines run on the internet, so when the internet is down so are our phones. Thank you Chuck

I have an SB6190 Modem/Router and use Sparklight as my ISP. I am trying to access the Arris Modem webpage which I have done numerous times before but now I receive a “403 Forbidden” message. I have tried the following: Accessing on both my Macbook and iPhone Turned on and off my VPN Rebooted my Macbook and iPhone Rebooted the modem Factory reset the modem Disconnected and reconnected all cables from the modem Contacted Sparklight to determine if their were any issues on their end Scoured the internet for solutions and tried numerous recommendations Reviewed this Community Q&A I am at my wits end and hope someone can provide me with a solution? Is it possible that this “403 Forbidden” message could be associated with the modem’s hardware? Thank you in advance for your support. Phil

How to access SB8200 Web portal? I have an ARRIS username and PW and it doesn’t work. I also get a warning that 192.168.100.1 is insecure.

Hi I’m trying to connect to the wifi but it keeps telling me to make sure I’m on the home wifi network when my internet is plugged into the arris modem

I just connected a brand new SB6183, and have activated it in Xfinity. When I power it on it cycles through green lights for power, down, up, and the online lights up green briefly. Then lights go off and the up and down turn blue. Nothing is plugged into the LAN side. I tried plugging in my gateway and it couldn't be reached from Unifi. I know it's not my connection because I just swapped out an Arris surfboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated

had a zfinity technician rule out the splitter, coax cable, and ethernet cable a possible cause, down to being the modem itself causing the problem. what could be the reason for this failure. also i am hard wired to it (no router in between). could it be a hardware failure on the inside of the pcb board? if so which component that i may de sauder and re sauder. 5 replies Oldest first plemans 24 days ago log into the computer you have connected and see if your actually connected at a gigabit rate. I’ve seen sketchy cables, ports, pc’s that only connect at 10/100mbps and limit speeds. My cable provider is claiming I have not returned this device. Can you provide the date of manufacture as per the serial number?

Purchased modem in July of 2023.Modem would stop working about once every other month, and i would unplug for a couple of minutes, plug back in and it would work fine. Did it again on Monday and now i only get solid white light. Will not reset. Please advise.

Hey guys, I've been having issues with my internet and I'm not really sure where to begin, though I suspect that the issue is with my modem. I'm skeptical because even before I bought it I was having issues with my internet where it would randomly drop and I had to reset it a couple of times before it would come up. I bought the sb8200 3.1 and paired it with a netgear orbi sxk80. It works very well most of the times but there would be like an instance or 2 a day where the internet would drop for like 10 minutes or so and go back to normal. These past 2 months it's gotten progressively worse and the past 3 days have been pretty rough. My orbi tells me when it goes offline and it has notified me of 30+ times in the past 3 days. That is also not including the times where it drops for a couple seconds and comes back. The reason that I think it might be the modem is that when it happens I unplug/plug it and it comes back fine most of the times. I know there's the whole att thing going on ri

My S33 is still under warranty, and Arris has already provided me with a shipping label to replace the device due to an issue. However, I'm concerned about whether the replacement will be new or refurbished. I'm a bit wary of receiving a refurbished device because it could potentially have modified firmware or undisclosed issues that Arris hasn't detected. It would be frustrating to receive a replacement only for it to break down after a year or so.
