S33 | S34

I have an S33v2 surfboard and it just suddenly stopped working yesterday. Comcast says the connection to the house is fine. 

Hello: I did my best to set up my new modem, and it works, kinda’.However, while I set passwords for WiFi 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz, they are not accepted. To link TV (Roku) and other “peripherals, it can only be done with the login data for the Web Manager. I have no idea what I may have done to cause this, but would be most grateful for help in correcting the  issue. Thanks, Hans L

Just looking for a way to fix a boot file corruption. Recently on chat with Xfinity customer service reinformed me that the s33s boot file was corrupted. Yeah it hasn't been corrupted but they gave me a service tuer upgrade and somehow it corrupted and not just stuckPersonally I think it's an ISP issue causing the boot file corruption. 

Network ARRIS site 192.168.0.1 ERROR- won't pull up. -I’ve tried numerous browsers, rebooted, also tried 192.168.0.1.1 - won’t connect. I need to update settings- Please help! My router model #: W31- //Modem model: S33v2.

I have Xfinity internet using my own S33 modem and a 6g router.  My wife has concerns about emf and wants to turn off the wireless router at night.  I am up way before her and need to have internet access as I often work from home.  I want to be able to use a hardwired connection to my home office computer while the wireless router is turned off.  I thought I could use the second (bottom) modem port, but apparently cannot.  I tried simply unplugging the router from modem and plugging the ethernet cable into that modem port, but it doesn’t work either.  What is the best way to do this?

Just received my Arris Surfboard S34. Contacted Xfinity and have it activatedI have an ethernet cable connected from the modem to my computer.I cannot access: 192.168.100.1It reads: “Safari can’t open the page “192.168.100.1” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding. 

I have Spectrum 400MB plan.  Can I use either S33 or S34 modems?   Particularly attaching to company VPN.  I've been told that my connection has a lot of Jitter.  Will either of these devices help that?

I can't seem to use 2 devices with this modem s33.  On second device it asks for Ip address, prefix length, then gateway address.  Xfinity says they don't have it. Does anyone know how I can get the gateway address? Or do I have to wait until Monday morning to contact arris cs.

My modem doesn’t work. It’s only 6 mounts old. Xfinity came out and reset it and checked it out.

So every time my deco (old)Xe75 or (new) be63 Wi-Fi router gets rebooted for a update or If I manually reboot it from time to time. When it's done rebooting the light go red and say there's no connection so then I'll have to unplug Ethernet cable for wifi router and replug it back in until it goes green. But then there's times it will show green but my devices will say connected to WiFi but no connection. So then I'll have to unplug the ethernet cable and replug it or reset my s33 modem in order to get things working and a stable connection again. I've also changed the ethernet cables and the same thing happens so my only conclusion is that my s33 is the cause of this problem but I don't know if it's the modem itself or the ethernet port is going bad. Because I ruled out the ethernet cable and I've ruled out the Wi-Fi router because I ended up buying a new Wi-Fi mesh router and the problem persists. I haven't tried resetting the s33 because I don't really want to have to call Comcas

I presently have the SB8200 modem, since 2018.  I have Xfinity, and my current plan’s level of service is Ultrafast including download speeds up to 1000 Mbps and upload speeds up to 20 Mbps.  My download speed averages above 920 Mbps.  Is there any benefit to upgrading to the S33 modem if I don’t upgrade my level of service to 2000 Mbps?  Upgrading to this speed would cost an additional $25, so would I see download speeds of 2000 Mbps if I upgraded?

I have reset my modem and have rebooted my modem and I am still receiving no power signal.  The mdrm has a solid blue light on.  How do I  resolve this issue?   Do I need to replace my modem? My devices show signal strengths between 2-4 bars. My internet  does drop service 3-4 times daily.    I do have internet service and my cable provider has shown me that the signal strength is good. Thank you 

My SURFboard S33 modem is completely dead. I’ve tried restarting more than once. I am hearing a buzzing noise from within the unit. I only get the orange light. My unit is still under warranty. Who do I contact to get a replacement or refund? Thanks.

Hi All,  Just upgraded my modem/router combination to separate devices.  Using Arris S33V2 and have stumbled my way through the setup.  I think It is working OK, but I am being offered an update.  Should I do it?  The current firmware version is 1.2.3 Build 20230603 rel.46473(5553) and the offered update is 1.3.2 Build 20240325 rel.56896  My present xfinity service is 500mbs and I have no intention to upgrade my xfinity service.  Thanks for your help,

Need help activating my new modem 

Hello! I have an Arris S33 that I unfortunately trying to use with Cox out here in the midwest.  Yes, their name is “Cox,” that is not a joke. We have Cox Fiber internet.  No coax cable just a ethernet connection coming out of the wall. Will the s34 work? 

New S34 and I performed a factory reset but the Android app never promoted me to change password or have an option to do so.  I tried to connect to the Web console using my wifi and chrome on Android and it doesn't connect.  I currently do not have a laptop to bind via Ethernet.  What good is the app as it doesn't have any functionality when it's up and running. I am about to return this device and go to security solid modems by other vendors. Help.  Ty.

I just installed my new iris modem S33 and xfinity is telling me it is not sending enough speed.And they're sending a technician. I'm thinking on returning this, as my 13 year old Motorola did better and it didn't even have the ability for speed. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm about to return this product and either install my old one or get a netgear.

My cable service is TDS in Oregon and I am using a stock modem supplied by the provider alongside Asus CT8 Router with two nodes.  I would like to purchase a compatible modem to replace the stock router, and the ARRIS Surfboard S33 seems to be a good choice.  Would this modem be compatible with the Asus mesh and the TDS cable service?  Thanks for your time!

When I open app it says it was made for an older version of android, how do I activate without the app?

After working fine for 6 months, the modem will not power on. I’ve unplugged the power cable twice and have tried the reset button. Also checked all cables, etc.; this is the only component not working. It seems obvious, but is there anything I’ve overlooked?

My s34 is directly wired to my computer via Ethernet 2.5 port (though I also tried the 1.0 port and the result is the same). I can access the web interface for about 15 seconds after a reboot of the modem, but then I have no access. I need the status page to show my ISP that the drops are due to infrastructure problems (upstream and downstream power), not my home network. I replaced the modem at their request and... Surprise, the problems are not any different with a new modem.I can connect to the IP for the web interface either direct connected or behind my wired ubiquity erx router, but only for the first 15-30 seconds the modem is on. What could be the problem here?To be clear, connectivity is fine when I'm trying to access the web interface.
