Modem is not working on SBG10

After the beryl storm Comcast had an outage. Service is now restored. Sbg10 won’t fully reboot. The 3rd light won’t come back. Did hard reset and all the other unplug fixes. Still nothing

DHCP error on SBG10

I have the same unit, and I agree, it’s pretty mediocre. One thing I learned about reserved addresses - they MUST be within the DHCP lease range. If you have them outside of the range (which of course is what everyone normally wants), then when the lease time expires, the reserved address is dropped, and a new one is supplied from the DHCP lease range. So, in effect, your desired address is not really reserved!!! One of many other problems is that the client list is often missing entries. Every time you refresh the page, you get a different list of clients. No apparent pattern, as far as I can tell.

No internet on SBG10

I purchased this wifi modem almost 2 months ago and still not able to connect to the internet. I have been dealing with Comcast and they tell me that the modem shows on their system and there is a good connection. I have reset the modem numerous times. Any suggestions?

I actually finally got connected but could not edit the question line, however I still cannot connect to the 192. site and the android app will not download on current android. How do I access this modem to change the settings? Thank you.

Xfinity shows my SBG10 as SBG1000 and it is not supported and slow speed internet

My Xfinity page shows 33 mbps. I get over 150 on a speed check though. However, SBG10’s lights don’t flash on start up. Eventually they all come on ( 2 minutes or so) and it works.

SBG10 XFINITY Issue

My SBG10 drops connection multiple times a day. I wanted to call to for support (since it's under warranty), but the only phone number is the premium one. It drips multiple times a day. Often for an hour or two at a time. Power cycling only offers an intermittent and temporary fix. The Xfinity technician said there are a lot of T3s coming off of it. The issue is not neighborhood noise. The signal strength also fluctuates wildly.

I connected my sgb10 as directed using the coaxial cable and power. All indicators show stable internet connection but when I hardwire with an ethernet cable to my desktop, I received no internet connection. Additionally, the Wi-Fi network is available but has no internet connection

Slow Wi-Fi speed on SBG10

I have a SBG10 for several years. Now I notice slow WiFi speeds (52.0, 43.8, 69.8 etc. for download ) on iPad and iPhone, my PC is connected to Xfinity internet using Ethernet, the speed test shows high download speed such as (469, 558.28) . How do I improve download speed on my Apple devices?

SGB10 Will not reset to default User/Password

I have pressed and held the button in the little hole and waited until lights go out. Then waited until it came back up. I have internet access, but the login on the SBG10 is not being reset after multiple attempts. I read about a suggestion to reset the gateway, but do not see directions on how to do this.

SBG10 unable to register with Surfboard Central App Error 0000-1613

The surfboard central app is stuck on error code 1613 while trying to register a brand new SBG10 unit. I am able to connect to both the 5GHz as well as the 2.4GHz WiFi signals with my phone. I’ve tried the app while connected to both without any success. I am online and able to browse but how do I get access to manage my home WiFi primary and guest networks?

I can’t get it up and running, because when I scan the QR code, it asks to download the Arres app. Once I do that, it asks me to scan the QR code on the device, but it keeps saying it’s invalid. Now I’m trying to set it up manually, but the app is telling me they don’t support this device. This should be much easier, right?

Router/VPN issue and intermittent internet with SBG10

This has been going on for over 3 weeks and I’ve been in contact with Xfinity, company IT, and the VPN support team. My internet cuts out on all devices every few minutes ONLY when connected to the VPN. My internet is stable if I connect with my phone’s hotspot or other wifi network, so it’s definitely an issue with the router. This was not an issue until 3 weeks ago. Everyone is blaming everyone else and they refuse to help me find any of the settings I need to adjust in the admin panel. How can any of this be resolved? What settings can I adjust without messing up everything else? Xfinity support tells me not to change any of the settings because it’s all optimized. I have tried connecting the ethernet cable directly to the computer, but that does nothing. We have updated the VPN software, uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off, reconnected.

I have a brand new modem router, SBG10 model. No real instructions included about setup. They ask you to download an app of theirs, which confused me. No. No real instructions Connection through the app didn't work for I paid good money for this, and got bad one

How can i get back online?

I wanted to reset my Wi-Fi name and password. When I went to log into the SURFboard® app, it said That I needed to download a new app. When I went to download the new app, it said I needed to set up my Max router. But I have the gateway 10. Everything I read, said to do a factory reset of the router in order to get it to set up correctly in the new app. When I did so, it changed the name and erased the passwords of my Wi-Fi. Now I am unable to connect to Wi-Fi at all. I have work tomorrow. I have been dealing with this for three hours. And I may hurt myself

Arris SBG10 Gateway Current Firmware Version?

I'm trying to figure out what the current version of firmware is for the SBG10 Gateway to determine if it's up to date. 9.1.103AA85 is the version displayed in the Web GUI device status. Thanks!
