arris surfboard sbg10 - Unable to setup the SBC app.

I can’t get it up and running, because when I scan the QR code, it asks to download the Arres app. Once I do that, it asks me to scan the QR code on the device, but it keeps saying it’s invalid. Now I’m trying to set it up manually, but the app is telling me they don’t support this device.This should be much easier, right?

SBG10 - MAC Address Control not working

I added my devices to the MAC Address Filter List, selected “Whitelist: device must be listed below” and applied. It shuts off all access to the devices. I have tried several times. What am I doing wrong?

Router/VPN issue and intermittent internet with SBG10

This has been going on for over 3 weeks and I’ve been in contact with Xfinity, company IT, and the VPN support team.My internet cuts out on all devices every few minutes ONLY when connected to the VPN. My internet is stable if I connect with my phone’s hotspot or other wifi network, so it’s definitely an issue with the router. This was not an issue until 3 weeks ago.Everyone is blaming everyone else and they refuse to help me find any of the settings I need to adjust in the admin panel.How can any of this be resolved? What settings can I adjust without messing up everything else? Xfinity support tells me not to change any of the settings because it’s all optimized. I have tried connecting the ethernet cable directly to the computer, but that does nothing. We have updated the VPN software, uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off, reconnected.

I have a brand new modem router, SBG10 model. No real instructions included about setup. They ask you to download an app of theirs, which confused me. No.No real instructions Connection through the app didn't work for I paid good money for this, and got bad one

How can i get back online?

I wanted to reset my Wi-Fi name and password.When I went to log into the SURFboard® app, it said That I needed to download a new app. When I went to download the new app, it said I needed to set up my Max router. But I have the gateway 10.Everything I read, said to do a factory reset of the router in order to get it to set up correctly in the new app. When I did so, it changed the name and erased the passwords of my Wi-Fi. Now I am unable to connect to Wi-Fi at all. I have work tomorrow. I have been dealing with this for three hours. And I may hurt myself

Arris SBG10 Gateway Current Firmware Version?

I'm trying to figure out what the current version of firmware is for the SBG10 Gateway to determine if it's up to date. 9.1.103AA85 is the version displayed in the Web GUI device status. Thanks!

Device or resource (app.designrr.io) is not responding on sbg10

I’ve been accessing the app.designrr.io website successfully for months, then suddenly I can’t connect to it, getting the error: This site can’t be reachedapp.designrr.io took too long to respond. I have an Arris SBG10 connected to Wave/Astound Broadband.All other web access is fine, and my download speed is over 250mb.When I run Network Diagnostics on my Windows 10 PC, it results in: “Your computer appears to be cofigured correctly, but the device or resource (app.designrr.io) is not responding.”I reset my router to factory settings, but still can’t connect.I can however connect successfully to app.designer.io when I connect through my Verizon 5G Hotspot.Any ideas on what could be wrong?

SBG10 WiFi Connection to TV

I can’t get the TV and SBG10 to connect via WiFi. I get a “wrong password” error message.  The password is correct because I can login to the WiFi Modem through an Internet browser and my phones and PC’s are connected.

No internet connection (Xfinity)! I am using a new SBG10.

Yesterday, a technician from Xfinity came to my house for wiring.He said everything was fine with the line, but no internet connection was found. He said I have to set up something with the SBG10. I followed all the instructions in the manual, but the internet connection failed.I can see ARRIS-7E05 and ARRIS-7E05-5G in the Wi-Fi list on my laptop. When I connect to them, the internet is not working, and the connection is not established. One strange thing is that if I connect them with my iPhone, I can only access YouTube and Google. When I access Google and click on some other links, I can't see anything. All other websites are not accessible.What is the problem? Is there something wrong with Xfinity?

update Arris SGb10 firmware

I use my modem with Xfinity and it’s noted that my modem needs a firmware update. I believe this is why it can process at faster speeds. Obviously Xfinity cannot push that update to my Arris SBG10. The current firmware version it’s using is 9.1.103AA85. I can’t find anywhere on Arrris (now Comscope) site how to access the update.

WIFI coverage range for SBG10

How far is the range for the SBG10, really? I'm trying to find the specs again and I thought I read that it was up to a 1400 sq ft area.I've tried two different copies of this model and they have both had trouble reaching a device barely 30 feet away... Is that normal or are the specs wrong?

Intermittent internet connection on SBG10

I’ve had this router for a little under a year now. I haven’t had any problems until recently. In the last few months, connection has cut out at night typically around 9pm. It would cut in and out through the night. But start January 1 (writing this on January 7), it started to cut out more frequently spreading to throughout the day. It cuts out every few minutes to a couple hours for anywhere between 1-10 minutes at a time. I tried asking my apartment complex and they directed me to the wifi provider. I contacted the wifi provider and they forced a reset. They said the modem is working fine. They said the problem is that the modem and router aren’t connection like they should.I have tried unplugging and plugging back in. That didn’t help at all. I tried it several times. It’s still faulty and cutting out.

Arris SBG10- No internet

My Arris SBG10 is only 26 months old & I am not connected to the Internet. I have reset it, unplugged & replugged it in a different outlet & I don't have ANY lights lit up on the Arris SBG10.I just missed out on the warranty by 2 months. Is it possible that the Arris is shot?

SBG10 Firmware Updates

I have been having connectivity issues with both ethernet and wifi connections via my work laptop for the past few months (after one of my company’s patches). My home PC and all of my smart devices work fine. We (my company’s IT department and myself) have tested many things, but the fact that my cellular hotspot works flawlessly with my company’s laptop, leads us back to my modem/router as the core of the issue. My company’s IT group has suggested that there is possibly a firmware update for my modem/router. I have been unsuccessful find where that would take place. I’ve used the IP address via my home PC AND I tried to use the SBC app (the new one), but it fails to connect to the wifi every time. I’ve used the QR code as well as the WIFI name and password that I set up. I am receiving error code 0000-1614. I also contacted my ISP Spectrum and they told me that because I purchased this modem/router myself instead of using their rented pieces, they cannot update firmware for me.
