SBG10

I'm trying to set up my modem but how do I access the setting so I can turn off parental control and the firewall setting because the customer service for my deco router says that they have to be off in order for everything to work. Can anybody help me? Is there an app I can download to turn them off because Im not able to contact the customer service for this modem due to them being closed. I have the SBG10

I tried to login to access the web manager and follow the instructions on the quick guide. It says invalid user name or password when I type in the login information they provide.

I have a SBG10 that doesn’t show any connection when i connect to it on my phone. It pops up and connects but no internet connection. However, if i plug an ethernet from the SBG to my computer the computer recieves internet fine. Not anything else. My gateway that i have the SBG plugged into is Spectrum. Please Help!

I need the password for my modem for the devices how do I get one?

Bought refurbished modem/router combo (SBG10) through Amazon. I worked with Xfinity tech support for a long time, and still not working, even after several power cycles.  All lights light up except the "online" light. Devices can connect, but without internet. Xfinity is unable to remotely detect it. Simple troubleshooting: yes, it is plugged in. Yes, the coax was in and tightened all the way. Yes, I used the Ethernet port and cable and a computer to do the initial configuration. I have experience setting up modems and routers. I am confident the problem is in the refurbished unit. I am requesting a replacement of equal value, or greater if unavailable, as soon as I am able to return the unit I have.

SBG10, I’m locked out. How do I get past that?I can't remember my login or password.Everything is running fine, just annoyed I can’t get in. 

my sbg10 wont factory reset to default settings, i need to do this so i can connect to my new internet. i tried doing the 30 second reset where u hold down the reset button, that didnt work, tried the 30-30-30 reset that didnt work, i logged into the web manager and press the factory default button, all of these dont factory reset it, it just resets like normal, ive tried everything.

After the beryl storm Comcast had an outage. Service is now restored. Sbg10 won’t fully reboot. The 3rd light won’t come back. Did hard reset and all the other unplug fixes. Still nothing  

Where do I go to register my new SBG10?  I suspect I need to do this in order to secure the warranty provided by same.

I bought sbg 10 and no matter how many attempts, Xfinity can't find it to activate. How do I resolve this?

I have the same unit, and I agree, it’s pretty mediocre.One thing I learned about reserved addresses - they MUST be within the DHCP lease range.  If you have them outside of the range (which of course is what everyone normally wants), then when the lease time expires, the reserved address is dropped, and a new one is supplied from the DHCP lease range.  So, in effect, your desired address is not really reserved!!!One of many other problems is that the client list is often missing entries.  Every time you refresh the page, you get a different list of clients.  No apparent pattern, as far as I can tell.

Arris login page doesn’t. Won’t allow entry of new password. Keeps saying unexpected error. Does Arris actually offer any real customer support? 

I purchased this wifi modem almost 2 months ago and still not able to connect to the internet.  I have been dealing with Comcast and they tell me that the modem shows on their system and there is a good connection.  I have reset the modem numerous times.  Any suggestions?

I actually finally got connected but could not edit the question line, however I still cannot connect to the 192. site and the android app will not download on current android. How do I access this modem to change the settings? Thank you.

My Xfinity page shows 33 mbps. I get over 150 on a speed check though. However, SBG10’s lights don’t flash on start up. Eventually they all come on ( 2 minutes or so) and it works.

My SBG10 drops connection multiple times a day. I wanted to call to for support (since it's under warranty), but the only phone number is the premium one.It drips multiple times a day. Often for an hour or two at a time. Power cycling only offers an intermittent and temporary fix. The Xfinity technician said there are a lot of T3s coming off of it. The issue is not neighborhood noise. The signal strength also fluctuates wildly. 

I am trying to connect my Surfboard SBG10 to my AT&T Netgear mobile device 

I connected my sgb10 as directed using the coaxial cable and power. All indicators show stable internet connection but when I hardwire with an ethernet cable to my desktop, I received no internet connection. Additionally, the Wi-Fi network is available but has no internet connection

I have a SBG10 for several years.  Now I notice slow WiFi speeds (52.0, 43.8, 69.8 etc. for download ) on iPad and iPhone, my PC is connected to Xfinity internet using Ethernet, the speed test shows high download speed such as (469, 558.28) .  How do I improve download speed on my Apple devices?

I have pressed and held the button in the little hole and waited until lights go out.   Then waited until it came back up.  I have internet access, but the login on the SBG10 is not being reset after multiple attempts.  I read about a suggestion to reset the gateway, but do not see directions on how to do this.

The surfboard central app is stuck on error code 1613 while trying to register a brand new SBG10 unit. I am able to connect to both the 5GHz as well as the 2.4GHz WiFi signals with my phone. I’ve tried the app while connected to both without any success. I am online and able to browse but how do I get access to manage my home WiFi primary and guest networks?
