Hey everyone! Like many I’ve tried to trouble shoot online, with no luck. My SBG10 is having some intermittent connectivity issues. When this happens, the SBG10 reboots itself and reconnects and restores service automatically after a few moments. This would be fine but I work from home and it is resulting in a lot of dropped calls. This issue started on 9/11, the same day there was an ISP outage for unplanned service maintenance, which makes me think something on their end got wonky. PC is hardwired in, not on Wifi, though everything that is connected to SBG10 drops service as well. This happens maybe 4-5 times a day. I’ve talked to the ISP twice who say that everything is fine on their end. Checked the coax cables to make sure they are snug, removed the only splitter I had and plugged the modem directly into the coax coming from outside. Same results. Not sure what else I can do here, other than get some second opinions. If it comes down to needing a new modem, that’s fine. I’d just r

Hello, I just bought the surfboard Wi-Fi extension and am trying to connect the router to my current Wi-Fi. Is there anything I’m supposed to do after plugging it in? I cannot find directions.

I recently got a whole home generator, and have found that when the power goes out and the generator kicks on, my Arris Touchstone CM8200 internet modem goes into a weird non-functional state, and it doesn’t provide internet again until I unplug the modem and then plug it back in.When it is in the non-functioning state, the power light is on, and the second light from the top (the receive light) is blinking. But the bottom 2 lights (send and online) are off.And oddly, I have the modem’s power cord connected to a UPS, and when I unplug the UPS from the wall outlet, the UPS kicks on, and the modem continues to work ok. The non-functionality issue seems to only happen when the generator kicks on.

I am not getting the data transfer rate of 300 Mbps that Spectrum says I’m supposed to get and they say it is because the modem. According to your website, the Surfboard SBG6580 cable modem has a maximum data transfer rate of up to 343 Mbps down. Saying up to 343 Mbps means anything above 0 to 343 Mbps! In some data transfer rate test tests in the past, I have gotten around 235-to around 258 Mbps down. Just a little while ago, it was only 153.1 Mbps down. Another issue is the lack of Technical Support for the product by the company! It seems Support is getting worse generally for things. In the past I have been able to call and speak to a person. Can’t it be done now?

I have a sump pump alarm I am trying to connect but it will not work on 5G.  How do I configure my modem Sb6121 to accept my new device?  I tried going to the modem’s ip address but there was no way to change the settings.

Hello all. On my existing network I have the EX7300 extender.  I  upgrading my equipment to an Arris G34 cable modem router combo. I am trying to pair my EX7300 extender. At first it connects, but within minutes I get an error with no internet connection that states the extender cannot connect to my network and I end up in an endless loop of being prompted to setup The extender.  I am still able to access internet directly through the Arris G34 , it just loses connection to the extender. was wondering if anyone is aware of compatibility issues with these product models? Or, any suggestions on how to get around the problem I am having. Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions.

Just installed and activated the Arris G34 in my home, in the upstairs bedroom. Cannot get Wi-Fi downstairs in our 1600 sq ft house despite the fact that this product on Amazon claims to cover 2400 sq ft. Do I need to configure this to cover the range or claims to cover? Some trick to it?

I just got a gaming router and trying to put this one in bridge mode Never tried to change password or anything on it and can’t log into it I’ve tried the default admin and password as well as admin and last 8 of serial number any help.?

I’m trying to setup a new G36 gateway modem. I’ve activated the modem via the Xfinity app. Now I’m trying to configure Wifi via the Arris Surfboard app but getting a communication failure.Any support help?

Ive recently switched my modem to the G34 Ive been trying to Mirror my Iphone using Reflector Software which worked on previous Modems ive used but for some reason now switching to this modem The reflector broadcast isnt available. are there some settings i need to change to make this work?

I am having trouble logging into the http://mysurfboard.local website in order to set up my Surfboard SBR-AC3200P wireless router. The website will not load. Have tried doing a factory reset and that doesn't help - any ideas? Sometimes the page doesn't load and sometimes I get this error message 

Is the model number still support by Arris? We are using it with COX and have had nothing, but lag and I read that Arris no longer supports this model. 

Successfully activated comcast/xfinity. Ethernet connect working fine. Added my own password successfully. Cannot access wifi on this laptop, where set up was done. Cannot access wifi on my smartphone using my own password or the network password. Reboot of SBG8300 B261 did not fix. What now?

Hello, Is there any way to be able to block specific websites from a W130/W30 AX7800 mesh router? I have looked everywhere in the app and could not find it. Also, I wish there was a way to manually place a bandwidth limit speed per device as my kiddo is eating all of it watching streams, even when he's set to the minimum of "normal" per the app.

I just purchased the s33v2 modem. My old SB8200 worked just fine with both ports, but I wanted to upgrade because I wanted to get full use out of my internet speeds. I have xfinity gigabite internet. I do have a 2nd IP for my account, one hardwired to my tower, one hardwired to the wifi. The 1gb port isn’t sending signal to the wifi router. I called comcast thinking it might be something on their end, new modem and all, but they did everything on their end and believe its a hardware issue, not their end. Any advice would be appreciated. 

I just purchased the SB8200 modem for my work computer.   Installation & activation through Xfinity seemed to go well.  All lights on the modem are doing what they should, & my computer indicates that I’m connected to the internet, but I can’t access anything on the internet….  I called ARRIS tech support, but no help…Any ideas for a simple solution before I return this thing??Thanks!

Hello I have a model SGB10 that i purchased approximately four years ago and I am trying to update the firmware. I have had great dificulty tring to log onto the Arris web manager . I read online that the default username/password combo is “admin” and “password” respectively. I tried that and then got a mesage that says “Invalid user name or password, or your access has been locked due to multiple failed login attempts!” I tried using the SSID and key that are on my device’s sticker, but that didn’t work either. If I select “Device Status” then it will bring up the box with info such as # of connected clients, firmare version, etc. Why isn’t there a way to reset passwords via an email link?!? I tried doing a hard reset but that doesn’t seem to have changed the login back to default settings. I have tried using both the original orange Surfboard app as well as the Surfboard Central app and have had made little progess there either. For the orange surfboard app, I tried loggin in and rec

I have an unusual problem. My wifi password ends with an ampersand (&). I thought at first it was just a display problem. When I viewed the password in the surfboard app. the ampersand is encoded to ‘&’. But then when I tried to do some reconfiguration the app asked if I wanted to join the router (since I changed the auto join to off) and it passed the encoded version of the password to my phone’s wifi connection. And now I don’t have wifi at all. Looks like I’ll need to reset and start over. So, please fix the password problem and remove all encoding before display and passing the password string to the wifi connection.

My surfboard 8200 never came with an SSID label. How do I get that?

Is there a recent outage with the sbg6400 model from Arris?

For the last two months our internet will randomly drop service and not come back unless we do a physical reset of the modem router. The longer this problem has been happening the more often we have to reset the router and hope our internet comes back. This is a huge inconvenience since both myself and my spouse work from home and rely on our internet connection to do our jobs. Help please. 

How can I return my recent purchase?

A month or so ago my G34 started getting flaky, and now it doesn’t last more than a day or so.After a while, all wifi channels simply disappear from all of my devices (two Macs, an iPhone, an Android tablet, an Amazon Kindle). Those devices call all still see other wifi access points, including xfinity’s semi-public ones.Meanwhile, my desktop Mac is also connected directly via a cat6 cable, and is still working great.Restarting the Gateway restores all access; but only restarting the “Wi-Fi Module” doesn’t help.I can’t see any place to see if my device needs a firmware update or something — is current information hidden somewhere in the 192.168.0.1 management panel?
