Hi, I was looking into my SBG10 firewall/firmware and I believe it needs an update.  I received a new work laptop and every time I connect my laptop to the wifi the whole wifi/SBG10 just drops (I am on my second new laptop since I thought it was a laptop wifi connection issue).   I was able to access the configuration via the web, but it doesn’t give me an option to update.  I reset the device multiple times already.  The firmware version is 9.1.103AA85.  I logged in the Surfboard App.  I also logged in the Surfboard Connect App, but it was having issues connecting to the network (no issues with the wifi since all my home devices were connected).  I get the error code 0000-1612.  How can I find the most recent firmware version for SBG10? I just called Arris customer support and they advised that the service provider (Xfinity in my case) manages and has control of the firmware versions and updates.  Is this correct?  If so, I’ll have to contact Xfinity.  Thank you in advance.

I replaced a sbg8300 that was killed by a power surge a month ago with another sbg8300. I got it up and running, everything was working great. But for the last 2 days all of my devices suddenly lose connectivity to the wifi.When I try to reconnect, the password that was previously saved is gone. I type it in and receive a message saying that the password is incorrect. I know that I'm typing it correctly.I've connected to the router with my laptop via Ethernet cord and signed into the router settings and verified that not only is it the right password, but according to the router both networks are working.This keeps happening and I'm at a loss. My old sbg8300 didn't do this.

Hello,I am trying to host a small panel server on my internet, and when I port forward, a strange thing happens. When I go to 12.345.6.78:18845, for example, from my browser, it times out because apparently my browser puts a / at the end of the link, well when I go to the private IP, for example 192.168.2.8:18845, it loads the page just fine. Yes the device IP is correct, Ive re-done it 100 times, and the global port range is 18845, as so as the local base port, so it is not an incorrect port or IP. But when I connect to 12.345.6.78:18845 through insomnia as a GET request with no / at the end, it loads just fine until I put the / at the end. What’s going on here? Is there any setting that blocks certain clients or something?Yes I have seen this link and have tried these to no avail: Please help soon as I need to make this panel soon to host!!

Are there any plans to release a new firmware for the sb8200 on Comcast to support mid split?

Hello, I bought blink cameras and it won’t connect to my WiFi. The rep from blink believes that I need to turn off my firewall setting. Can someone help me with that?  Thank you 

We have a SBG8300.  When logging into Cisco AnyConnect, It is saying “The VPN connection to the selected secure gateway requires a routable IPv4 physical adapter address.  Please move to an IPv4 network and retry the connection or select a different secure gateway.” Not sure if it matters, but this a government laptop. We have another home laptop that also logs into a VPN, but it is commercial company VPN, and with no issues. Suggestions?

Hey so my modems Ethernet ports are not both active. I have 2 PCs plugged in and only one is registering a connection even they are both hardwired Ethernet into the same modem. I just got off the phone with Comcast and they said it was a manufacturing issue? Any help and support would be great. 

We have tried to connect several times tonight and we keep getting “Cannot connect your home network”.  We have rebooted several times.  We are connected to the wifi on our computer and even on own phones.  So I don’t understand what we are doing wrong?I am getting error code: 0000-1613

Can a VPN be added to this AX6600 router? 

My family bought an Arris S33 Modem and it just keeps randomly resetting and I’m confused by it, we changed the power source to an outlet but it still resets, we keep it cooled as well but it still resets. I’m completely stumped on why it keeps resetting and I need help resolving this issue.

Nest WiFi + Arris S33 Modem + Xfinity.New modem replacing old arris. “Connection failed” during WiFi setup and prompt to connect Ethernet cable during setup. Modem delivering connectivity when hardwired to laptop.Thanks to Google community posts I have troubleshooted- power cycling both devices many MANY times + factory restoring- Reprovisioning modem (myself through Xfinity app and via cust service)-Opening bridge on modem (Arris said it’s not possible on a cable modem. Xfinity said they did it after saying they don’t deal with 3rd party modems but not sure they understood me or did anything)-Returning modem to best buy and replacing (same issue)-Giving my router MAC and serial to Xfinity to push the internet through (they were pretty clueless and ended up also taking my modem Mac and serial and probably using that instead)Everyone is blaming everyone else and no one will talk to the other providers so I am stuck. Google have “escalated” my many requests today but who knows what that

Is there a way to update the firmware for  wifi and does anyone know the password of the day to view advance features? The password generator  produced a password but it did not work.  The wifi constantly buffers Spectrum changed out lines, and connectors but, there is still an issue with buffering Thank you in advance!

Just bought a used SB8200 on eBay from a reputable seller.  I tried to provision it with my Wow ISP via a phone conversation.  The rep said that there is an error “equipment must be in a special status to add it”.  She said it was locked.  I did a factory reset.  Connected it directly to a laptop without internet and logged into the modem.  I was able to change the default password to a new one.  Tried to provision again by swapping it with my old SB6183 and calling the ISP.  Same error.  While trying to provision, I can access the modem web page through my router but the username and password doesn’t work.  As soon as I take it off the cable and router and connect to my laptop directly, the username and password I created works. When putting my system back to the SB6183, they had to re-provision it to make it work (proving they removed that modem while trying to provision the SB8200).We have verified the MAC address multiple times. Is there anything I can do on my end or tell Wow what

Trying to determine if the refurbished modem I just bought from Amazon is the problem for extremely slow speeds or if the modem is bad. Following steps I found in FAQs, I got the attached results but I’m too confused to make sense of it.

i have a NVG443B router courtesy of Ziply.  I want to block ip’s because i see odd entries in my list.  I have created an Access Control Profile, but not clear how to correctly configure it. The site says to choose “Blocked All Day”, but doesn’t seem to work. How is it suppose to work?

Hi, I can’t run wifi here and need wifi turned off. I was looking at the SBG8300 and see that wifi can be disabled. The description says that it includes a wifi router though. So, if I have wifi off, will it still support routing for wired ethernet devices like PCs?If so, how many wired devices can it support (I have a 12 port switch I will connect it to)? Thank you!

My internet gets dropped several times per day. The Send/Receive light on the modem is flashing indicating the firmware is updating. I can’t imagine the firmware needs updates multiple times in one day. I’ve contacted Spectrum and been told the problem is in the modem.
