I recently traded out my Xfinity modem for my own G34 modem. Using the SURFboard Central app, I renamed the new SSID and password. For some reason the SSID reverted so it no longer connects to our devices. I've tried to rename it back but it doesn't appear to work when I'm not using the app on the actual network. We're traveling so don't have access to the network, but is it possible to rename the SSID remotely?

Can’t get HP 8620 printer to hookup to Wi-Fi with a G 36 router modem 

Just upgraded to G36 from a SB6141about a week agoEverything seems to be working fine (450M down/10M up) for a few days (2-3 days) and then all connectivity slows down…  Sometimes I will see 25M d/10M u other times it will be < 0 Down.Slowness is on both wired and wireless devices.  Using my android phone to connect to the Surfboard app does not work (maybe i have to wait for more than 5 minutes for it to load) and I have to use a hardwired desktop to connect to the admin interface.  If I restart the G36 (through the admin interface), everything works fine again, full speed.  At times I thought it was the DHCP lease, 1d x 2.5 = 2.5 days, but I have no proof, yet. Thought i’d ask here instead of Xfinity since this seems to be G36 specific.  Hoping someone else has a fix for this. Details: BOOT Version:CGR2.86C.635901.R.2007141716Core Version 0.0.0.0Download Version:01.04.028.01.01.NCSFirewall - default MediumSystem uptime (22h)WAN IPV4 - DHCP lease 13h (currently)WAN IPV6 - DHCP 13h

Hi. I’ve got an Arris HEVC 4K Ultra HD cable streaming box, and a branded remote from my cable provider with their logo and a Netflix button on it. This remote is connected via Bluetooth. I got a 2nd remote, also branded from my cable provider. Can I have 2 remotes connected by Bluetooth that both work? The pairing instructions only seem to work for the first one. Thanks!

New G36, Xfinity is provider. System FREQUENTLY is "available, no internet". Xfinity feed seems robust.My laptop is attached via ethernet cable. From command line I can ping & get all packets sent & received. From Surfboard web site, ping shows all packets dropped. Help! 

is it broken and do i need to toss it and get a new one if so which Modem is recommended. Never had to restart my old SB5101 or the SB6121

I just installed a new G34. I found how to start my DHCP beginning address high enough to avoid my servers and switches. But I don’t see any way to assign one of those reserved addresses. I would like to statically assign some of the IP addresses by MAC for servers and printers at the router than the client (easier for VMs and the like)

Has anyone set up the G34 or G36 to the internet provider TDS? It spooks me a bit when your internet provider is not on the compatability list. TDS says "Oh, any name brand modem/router as long as it supports DOCSYS 3.1"  I just tried an ASUS CMAX6000 and it would not connect to them. Go figure.

I was on wih Xfinity tech support today because for quite a while I am not getting anywhere near my availble speed which should be around 1 GB. I get anywhere from 300-600 Mbs.  They are telling me i need to update the firmware on my modem. Its not even 2 ½ years old and I bought this model specificially to meet my needs for gigibit speeds. Additiaonlly there doesnt seem to be an available firmware update. So my questions are;1. should I need to update firmware for a device that should already have gig speed?2. Is xfinity blowing smoke?3. Is there firware available that I am not seeing?Thanks 

I need to disable the wifi on my SBG8300 but I still want to be able to use all the ports.  How can I disable the wifi without having to put it in bridgemode?

Should the RECEIVE led light ideally always be blue or is it normal to sometimes be green? Sometimes it changes to green meaning it’s in DOCSIS 3.0, and stays there until i power cycle the modem. Is this less than ideal? Does this indicate a problem with the coaxial line

When I attempt to run a speed test from my iPhone on my surfboard G34 I get the error, “ access to your network is currently unavailable” How do I get access to network? 

I upgraded my modem/wireless router to the Artis G36 and my older Microsoft Surface Pro and my older Echo Show will not connect…Any ideas?Thanks!

I activated my Arris SB8200 on Xfinity yesterday. It's not updating the firmware. I've restarted the modem at least 6 times. My Software Version is      D31CM-PEREGRINE-1.1.1.0-GA-11-NOSH. The current version seems to be AB01.02.053.05_051921_193.0A.NSH. Why isn't it updating? I also noticed there’s no Advanced tab in the menu bar.   

I can’t connect to the admin portal to configure my arris SBG6782. Every browser now blocks TSL 1.0 which the modem uses for the admin portal. There’s no longer a way to continue past or allow access to an insecure page.  This is a common issue as the below users all have the same issue. Forum and chat support only direct to restart the modem, factory reset, and or disconnect / reconnect the coaxial cable, none of which fix the problem.    

How do I change it? I am able to log into the modem via the IP address but I cannot figure out how to change the pass key from the original that’s located on the back of the modem.

Connecting S33 to either my RAX50 (Gbe) router or GS110MX 10G Switch fails, but it connects fine to my PC.  Any ideas why?  Using Cat 8
