Does this modem support the SIP ALG setting? Need to have this disabled because it is interfering with VOIP calls.

I have been having issues with my upload speed on my laptop. I have an ARRIS model: TG3452. I am the only one using this device and it has both 5g and 2.4g. I use 5g and the only difference i can see between the 2 in tests, is that 2.4g just has slower downloads. I have a very fast plan and on my mobile phone I can get 300-400 Mb/s download and around 25 Mb/s upload. However on my laptop I can get 300-350 Mb/s download and less than 1 Mb/s upload. If I enable FIBS for the wifi network the download speed is then limited to 25 Mb/s but the upload speed rises to the expected 25 Mb/s. All speed tests were done with speedof.me. If i enable random mac address it drops both upload and download speeds to around 0.5 Mb/s. And it doesn't get fixed for a while, even when I change random mac address back. FIBS also doesn't really seem to do anything until i disconnect and reconnect the wifi on my laptop. I tried to mobile hotspot my laptop to my phone (with everything default, no random mac addres

As of this week (9/18/23) my SVG2482AC is crashing on Xfinity multiple times daily. Comcast support told me that due to the well know (new to me) issues with the “PUMA 6” chipset it is now not supported, in fact, INCOMPATIBLE, with the Xfinity network. But check out this ad: https://www.arrismodem.com/svg2482ac/ It clearly states for use with Xfinity! Do I get a refund or at least a credit from Arris for this? They are/were clearly “DUMPING” these guys with a defective chipset. What do you know about this? Thanks.

I’m using a SVG2842 phone enabled Arris modem/router. My IP address page looks different from some others who have shared screen shots of where they found their system and event logs. Mine is a different website. When I go to the logs page, it produces no logs. I’ve tried over several days. Screenshot here with greyed out logs circled in black. When I hit the show logs button, it has a dialogue box that says this will take a minute and then produces nothing. I need these to show Xfinity. I’m one of the unfortunately folks who lost internet access this week because my Arris surfboard keeps rebooting (never loses power). It doesn’t stay on for even an hour. Yet I have no logs to show.

On Surfboard SVG282AC the wifi speed next to the device is less than 70mb - speed at PC via ethernet is over 300. So it's not a Comcast issue. Anyone know if there are new settings in firmware I should try?

Hi, I have just changed internet provider and has been unfortunate to receive a TG3442 modem. First my provider has chosen to use the preshared wireless key as the password to the modem settings. Nice if you cannot read the sticker, also nice if you have to reset the modem in the future. This was not really a big deal just a small anoyance. When I finally managed to scan the needed codes and I wanted to disable the wireless networks in the modem,I am asked to fill out a captja before the settings can be saved. Surely no thought aat all has been spared on the general accesibility of these products. Surely such a captja requirement will violate the a accessibility requirements that takes effect in 2025 in the EU. Of course it is nice to have such an obvious case to test for the new rules if necessary, but currently I am not happy with the state of accessibility on this modem, and I am going to find a way to change to something else less unfriendly to a screen reader user as soon as possi

I would like to block a desktop computer in my home from accessing the internet. I go to Parental controls to block a specific device, but even though the name of the computer shows, the MAC address is different from what it should be. I click on the computer anyway, block it from access, but it still has access. In fact, I tried blocking a different desktop computer, with the correct name and MAC address showing under parental controls, and it wasn’t blocked either. This seems like it should be a very easy thing to do. What could be going wrong?

Surfboard t25 is only working in one Ethernet port reset it many times and still only pone port working

Is the T25 modem capable of supporting 240 Mbps upload speed. It is rated to support 8 upstream channels - but my current device shows only 4 upstream channels are enabled. With 4 upstream channels I can only theoretically get 4x30 ~120 Mbps. Does anyone know what upstream frequencies comcast use? There isn’t enough bandwidth in the RF split (5-42 MHz) to support 8 channels so the diplexor config of 5-85 MHz need to be enabled to get full 8 channels. Does comcast need 4 upstream channels with 2x2 MIMO for its 200 Mbps upload speed or does it utilize 4 channels?

Here's my humorous situation. I'm not at home right now & I didn't take screenshots of my T25. I'm trying to find out the WiFi name & password so I can activate my Xfinity TV Flex box, landline & internet. I don't want to waste your time & no clue what the serial number is & whatnot. Left brochure w/ Arris customer service phone number at home. The other thing is I keep being misinformed what the proper Arris model is by Xfinity, Best Buy & Arris. Basically, I'm not the greatest techie, I need to at least verify the T25 will enable me to use my Xfinity Flex Box for my TV, my Xfinity landline & internet connection. I've purchased (3) Arris modems so far yet I keep jumping back & forth between Xfinity & Arris on the correct model. I can find out the Arris model I recently purchased from Amazon but I'd like to return it if the T25 serves my needs. I realize it's not your fault that I got stuck w/ (3) Arris modems so far. Any firmware or software updates to the T25 modem? It’s rare that any manufacture gets it right the first time around.

reference: ARRIS SURFboard T25 DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit Cable Modem bought from Amazon Xfinity has not fixed or identified any issue on their end. I’ve spent two 3 hour sessions with their support computers, techs, and elevated support. Xfinity support confirms we have the latest firmware, and have reset the modem many times as have I. I’ve tried several phone systems that perform on other systems as they should. (panasonic and Vtech). I’m reaching out to see if this is an issue with the T25 itself, as I have really run out of things to try. Any help, direction would be greatly appreciated.

I can only get 1 out of 8 ports to get internet from a TP-Link 8 port gigabit switch to work. It’s hooked directly into the Arris SBV 3202 Modem. I’ve checked lines, jacks, connectors and all. Nothing works. The switch was working fine with the Arris TG1682G modem. Can anyone help?

I current rent an Arris TG2472G from WoW for my internet/cable/phone service. I want to buy my own equipment and want to know what is the most current and best hardware to replace my TG2472G and get better features and performance? Please advise.
