The model number on my ARRIS modem reads “TG2482A.” Is this the same as SVG2482AC?

The Android app store seems sketchy.  I’m located in Canada.  App SURFboard Central is made by Vantiva USA LLC.  100k downloads but not a single review.  Is this the right app?  And does anybody know if it will support my cable modem?  Looking for a quicker way to make adjustments to my kids ipad connections (shut them off when they’re not listening to me LOL!)

I have started to use ProtonVPN, and would like to know whether or not the Surfboard SVG2482AC supports installing a VPN directly onto it? If so, are there any resources that can walk me, a complete newbie when it comes to networking thru correctly installing and setting it up?

I have an arris surfboard SVG2482AC.  We have new foster children and want to remove unknown devices from our wifi.  Our router says there are 15 connected devices.  I have clicked the x button and added them to the “blocked” list, but they still show as “connected”.  I tried this with an ipad of ours, and it is still fully functional even when added to the “blocked” list.  How can I removed devices from being able to access our router?  Thanks to anyone who can help a new foster dad out!    

One of my TV's suddenly won't connect to network..I noticed all the IP address's were at zero..I filled them all in except the 'gateway' section.. where's do I find that. And would that prevent my tv from connecting? Using SBR-AC1200 Wi-Fi router

Hi. Set up my router now I want to go in and change the pw for the WiFi network. When I go to 10.0.0.1 I don’t know my login info! There is no forgot password or anything like that. How can I get in?how do I reset my gateway login??

We reset our router as a ‘fix’ for one of our streaming platforms.  It automatically came back up, but only with the 5ghz channel.  I need the 2.4 for a few items in our home.  Attempting to get into the admin page has so far been frustrating.  The auto filled admin password has not been accepted and there seems to be no ‘forgot password’ option.  

I have a DG3450 that sits in my network closet in the middle of the house.  I need to get a network signal out to my shop about 75ft away.  Is there an extender option that would work with the DG3450?

I have the TG2492 device and it appears that it cannot handle multiple computers at the same time, especially when one of them uses 5G and the other one uses 2.4G connection. Currently both channels are enabled. I figured I wanted to update the firmware to see if it fixes the issue, but I cannot find this model anymore on the Arris website…. Is there a way to download the firmware update for this device?Current firmware: 9.1.103GY 

What model does Arris offer to replace an old model TG862. My Xfinity is 500 mb and I must have a standard land line phone connection and WIFI for two tablets. Main computer is hard wired.

I recently purchased and activated a new T25 modem with voice. Having a problem with the Xfinity Stream service. Xfinity stream works fine for a few days before becoming non-functioning on all devices. After many failed attempts to restore stream service, I've found that going through the modem activation prosess restores Xfinity Stream. Any suggestions on what to do to avoid repeating the activation procedure? Modem works fine otherwise.

I recently moved from my long time home to an apartment. I was receiving xfinity phone service through a voice modem and had numerous phone jacks in the house, all of which worked through the single modem’s connection. In my new apartment, I have a number of phone jacks but can’t find a way to make them work with my new Arris T25 Modem. Only the phone attached to either of the two outlets on the modem will be connected. I tried connecting the modem to one of the jacks, then nothing worked. Any thoughts?Thanks,SR

I cannot activate the surfboard SVG2482AC with Xfinity as CM MAC id is not recognized.

I tried to register my T25,  was told the serial # doesn't match model. Never had this happen before. Any help appreciated. 

I recently got this new modem to replace my old one after a outage bricked my old one, I got it set up last night, activated with xfinity and everything, yet every device I connect to it says "Connected, No internet" I've even connected my netgear router to it and it gives off the same No internet signal.I've tried everything, turning it on and off, factory reset and nothing works, still no internet.I can't even login to the router either, always a black screen when I go to the website, I'm typing this on my phone.

I have router Arris TG3442, I’m login to router and trying change password to another, but I got error “Bad password! Please retry with allowable characters and required complexity.”, I’m trying for example password cVdY4uWkdQM! which fit to requirements. Does anyone had the same issue? Do you know how to fix it?

Hi, I have some issue. For about 15 min I hadn’t internet access from my laptop, I had connection with router via WiFi but no with internet (other devices had normal connection with internet). I checked router `Parental Control > Reports` and in report from today I can seeDevice MAC:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX 5640 attempts 17/05/2024 17:15:01 Device Blocked  Where `XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX` is MAC of my laptop.I have not configured blocking this device in `Parental Control > Managed Devices` settings. Where yet can be configured blocking some devices in router configuration? How to find why it was blocked?

Setting up the SVG2482ACAfter having followed the instructions as to how to set up, I cannot connect to the Internet. Upon looking at the front of the modem, the 2.4 GHZ light is blinking. All the others are solid. Help!Thanks!
