What is the upload speed of the G34?

Moved to NY from CA 4 years ago and my brother has fiber broadband through Optimum / Altice. I’m using the SBG6782-AC as an access point but a) it my be causing and IP configuration problem with the fiber modem / router, and b) every time I start my computer I have to unplug and plug the SBG6782-AC to get internet. Anyone have a solution to a) as I can live with b) for now, lol Dave

My Internet goes down pretty much the same time every night and comes back on around the same time every morning. Usually it'll go down anywhere from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock in the morning and then it'll come back up around 8 o'clock in the morning almost on the dot every day. I've talked to our Internet technician probably 20 times over the past three weeks and they have even come out to the house and they cannot find anything wrong. All they keep saying is that I should rent a modem from them which I do not want to because I just recently sb8200 for almost $150. By the time the tech even comes out of course the net is back online. I really do not know what to do. I noticed something weird in the event logs, that is goes back to 1970 on the log time/date. I honestly do not even know what to do at this point, I thought about buying a new modem to see if that even will help and I guess I could always rent one from my Internet company but I feel like since my Internet works 90% of the day

Cox support has been trying to shirk their responsibility for configuring and diagnosing internet problems in an attempt to bludgeon us users into renting their scammy integrated modem/router. What firmware versions should we expect to see loaded on the SB6183 and what are normal ranges for the upstream power and downstream SNR stats? Can anyone advise on the age/compatibility on firmware version: D30CM-OSPREY-2.4.0.3-GA-00-NOSH Does anything stand out as deficient for these connection stats? I should add that the problem being experienced is frequent upstream packet loss and poor performance on upstream (typically between 10-50% of quoted capacity).

Looking for wifi extender that will maximize my 500GB signal

Hello all, I have some household devices which will only connect to 2.4GHz wifi. With most that is not an issue but a few require my phone to be on a 2.4GHz network in order to connect the device to my network. My phone connects to the 5GHz by default. Is there a workaround? I don't see a way to steer my phone to the 2.4GHz side. Thanks in advance..

sbg7600 tries to start but can't get past first 2 lights. Has worked perfect for 2 years now will not boot completely. Tried everything including factory reset. Can hear a small buzzing sound inside. What should I do next before I pay for another one?

I purchased a T25 modem to replace the Xfinity Xfi. I have internet connection from T25 lan port to a pc, but not when T25 is connected to my router. I reconnected the Xfi. Every thing works!!! What am I doing incorrectly for the T25 not to connect thru router? I had a Xfinity tech out today helping. He don’t know either.

My S33 needs to be rebooted or shuts down often. I continue to get this group of errors often. Something tells me it is Xfinity. I have 1gbps service but can recieve up to 1200 per xfinity, however i have never seen more than 650mbps. They tell me its my modem, but they will not allow me to connect to the 2.5GB port. I got a printer Brother 2270DW that connects to network via Ethernet and it will show up for a second in the list of devices and then disappear. It would never connect and stay with stable connection. I made sure it’s not any other issue and it works fine with other routers. Can anyone help me connect my printer?

Hi All, I have a ARRIS rac2v1a, and there is a strange phenomenon which I suspect that it is an implementation error.When an iPhone has connect to ARRIS rac2v1a, checking the wireless sniffer air packet, I realized that in the Beacon Frame, there will be times where Robust Security Network Information Element (RSN-IE) is missing. The Router is operating in WPA2 protocol. Is there any software staff here that could help to clarify this? Thank you.

Netflix keeps buffering! The app says that I have good speeds, it even says that my connection is good for 4K video but Netflix keeps buffering on my TV in my bedroom downstairs.

I am trying to log on to gateway settings page but I have forgot password. I did a hard reset with paperclip in pinhole reset button on back of gateway(held in for 20 seconds). I went to log in page and used admin as username and password as password but a box popped up and said incorrect password.. What Gives?

I will be installing a SBV3202 modem with Comcast soon. I see the modem’s IP is 192.168.100.1 but my home network is 192.168.1.x range. Is there a way to change the SBV3202 to 192.168.1.1? I do not want to change my home network to match the modem. Thanks, Dennis

I just upgraded my old SBG modem/router to the new G36 dual band modem/router. I had no issues setting up connections. My desktop is connected by cable, and all my other devices are connected by wifi, but win10 on my desktop can no longer see the devices on my wifi network like it did on my old modem such as my T.V. , so I cannot cast videos and such to my T.V. I have reset router, checked all settings, checked file sharing settings in win10, but win10 still does not see devices on wifi network. Anyone have an idea what is wrong?

I currently have the SB8200 modem that I bought back in 2017. I was looking around at modems to see if I need to upgrade to a newer model and I see that DOCSIS 3.1 is still the top of the line, so I should still be good for a while. However, I saw that the Motorola MB8611 advertises that their modem has Active Queue Management (AQM). I can’t find any reference to AQM on the Arris site, but I did find that it is part of the DOCSIS 3.1 spec. Is this just a case of Motorola listing a feature that every DOCSIS 3.1 compliant modem has, or does Arris not have AQM in the SB8200?

I was speaking to Spectrum, my ISP, about how they had the wrong modem listed for me in my account. In the process of getting it corrected their technical people said my modem was not capable of the 400 Mbps plan I was paying for. The box for the SB6183 modem states it is capable of 686 Mbps down load speed. The OOKLA speed test while I was communicating with them is showing that I am getting a download speed of 440 Mbs from my home to Portland, ME. The test from their own website gave me the same identical download speed from my home to their Spectrum location in Syracuse, NY> I am clearly getting the download speed that I am paying for and more. Their technical people are saying I should not be getting that type of speed with this modem and that it is only capable of 300 Mbps and they are not budging from that stance. I have been using an ARRIS SB6183 Cable modem for the last three years. I bought and own the modem which was on their approved modem list for both 400 Mbps plan and 500

I am looking for a full user manual for the DG3450 Digital Gateway Modem -- which my cable provider/ISP (Sparklight) just installed in my house. I have searched every nook and cranny of the ARRIS web site and there is no reference to the model number. On the web there is exists draft copies of a User Guide but it does not cover topics like Port Forwarding or DynamicDNS setup. Someone at ARRIS must know about this product.

Hi there, trying to complete the surfboard app set up for SBG8300 and continuously getting an error. Are there any troubleshooting steps available for iOS devices, please?

I am trying to expand the single 2.5gb port on my G36 modem and not having any luck getting it connected to any devices when going through a multi-gigabyte switch. I first tried the TP-Link switch (TL-SG105-M2) which has five 2.5gb ports, and that did not work so i shipped it back and ordered the QNAP switch (QSW-2104-2S) and that did not connect either. It’s very basic troubleshooting, when any device is connected to the G36 2.5gb port directly there are no issues. But if i connect the G36 2.5gb port to switch and then try to connect devices to that, they do not connect. Also, the 1gb ports on the G36 do not have an issue connecting to any devices eitherdirectly or through the switch. The connectivity issue only occurs with the G36 2.5gb port going through a multi-gb switch, such as the two i mentioned above. Anyone else able to connect the G36 2.5gb port to a switch with 2.5gb ports, successfully? QNAP has been great trying to help me troubleshoot but attempts to get Arris support in

Hi there, My friend recently purchased SBG8300 and I was helping her in setting up the device. During the process there was a security check and that was asking for a captcha code to type in, but it was blank, and no captcha is available. this was on the surfboard central app. when I tried completing it in 192.168.0.1 on the network set up wizard step 1, again there was a blank captcha code and was not able to complete the set up. I will appreciate if anyone can help me with this.
