Wi-Fi Modems

My G36 disconnected from my ADT security cameras. All window and door sensors are connected. The cameras won't reconnect. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Need to know why they don't connect.

My router is plugged in and my phone says i have wifi but when i have wifi turned on everything is really slow a d i cant connect to my xbox

Internet went out during a storm and now won’t reconnect IP provider is Optimim I have reset a number of times. Spoke with Optimum and they said the signal is fine. The light are flashing blue for Internet and green for WiFi. I can connect to the WiFi but still not Internet access. help please.

My ISP is RCN Astound and I’m trying to “Bring my own” equipment. The system is working fine since I’m working 5-days from home and my wife works 3-days from home. Before I invest in my own equipment, one of my options is to replace my existing components. I have an Arris DG3450 and the router and extenders are Eero units. I’d like to purchase the same modem, DG3450 unit but can’t find it in Amazon nor in Best But. Anyone, even ARRIS, able to find a NEW Arris DG3450 for sale? If so, where and how much?

Unable to connect either my geeni camera or eufy camera to the wifi. Geeni camera worked fine with previous internet Eufy camera is new Arris G34 Router Do I need something else Any suggestions

Regarding SBG7600AC2, there is a login screen , which does not accept the user defined password. Moreover, the default login credentials do not match the default username and password in the user manual. Finally during factory reset, the credentials do not default to the default username and password in the user manual. To reproduce this screen, navigate to the usual 192.168.0.1 and click on the very top tab/link “Operation” found between “Configuration” and “Logout”. Questions: What is this log in screen and what are its credentials, and its default credentials?Why is there no mention of this in the user manual?How does one reset these login credentials?

We have a ARRIS G36 modem, with a 1 TB home coaxial connected Xfinity link going to it. During every conference call, I either lose the connection, freeze up, or have generally bad connection. The modem is 1 year old, I am directly connected to it via Cat5E cable, there are 3 other devices connected wirelessly, what could be the issue???

Out of nowhere, I got kicked off all my devices and my wifi just disappeared. Though, okay, maybe I should just reset it, but when I try to do 30-30-30 factory, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Do firmware updates take place automatically on the Arris SB SBG7400 or is there something that I have to do to make this happen?

How do I turn off the wifi on the Surfboard modem/router combo?? We are installing the eeros mesh system.

I believe there is more than one issue going on. But this is what I know. I lose connectivity both wired and ethernet. sometimes for a second, sometimes for minutes. The lights on router onlly sometimes change from blue to orange during this. I had seen aquite a few Event logs not sure what to make of them. Every check of Qam shows in parameters. I dont know if these logs can give some guidance. I am a remote WFH rep and need stable internet I bought this modem router for the 4 ethernet ports and wifi 6. We are a 3 person sometimes 4 person family. Son’s a gamer, We have Amazon devices and Cameras and Streaming SErvice not to mention phones, tablets, ets… Average about 30 devices at any given time. Please help. We have a previous wifi extender - TP Link that was easy to connect on our old router/modem as the old one had a button to connect it. This new surfboard does not. How do I connect this wifi extender now??

I signed into my guest network and now I'm unable to get out of it and back to the normal network (not guest). Every time I try to sign into the not guest network it's saying wrong password, which is not wrong. This all came about from me struggling to connect my blink camera system, which failed miserably.

Not sure what’s going on but some connections to my home network are forwarding to an external captive portal site - connectivitycheck. I did not set this up. How do I stop this from happening? This is not a wifi hotspot - it’s my home network. Not every connection gets forwarded to the external site - only some of them. And this is not a wifi problem - the wifi connections in the router are working fine. It’s some of the ethernet connections that are getting forwarded. I know they are connected to the internet because they are bringing up that external page, but they show as not connected because that captive portal appears to be blocking the connection. I am on Xfinity and the external connectivitycheck captive portal is bringing up an xfinity login screen as if I was on a wifi hotspot, which I am not. But again, the wifi connections and some ethernet connections are working fine. And all connections show as connected via Advanced IP Scanner even if they are blocked by the portal.

Two questions actually: 1. How do I change carriers on my surfboard 7400? 2. My adult son turned the lights off on the 7400 so how do I turn them back on?

The bottom of the model provides WAN & HFC, but not CM. I need this to activate my WiFi through Xfinity app.

i sent in a request for help. I can’t find how to get a live chat again, the page just says it’s open. Also, this modem is driving me nuts! It doesn’t work and I’m past the time for returning it to Amazon. HELP!!! how do i get a replacement of a different model? Too many people have this problem for it to be my problem.

On the G54, can you manually set 5 MHz to a specific channel?

my building is looking into an arrangement with Frontier to install FIOS in my building. We currently have xfinity and I have an ARRIS G36 modem. Its is working rather well now so I wondered if I could keep it if and when this building goes over to FIOS. I can’t get much of an answer from ARRIS and after a long hold, I was able to speak to a tech service person at Frontier, who told me that the only modem compatible with their FIOS is the ARRIS NVG443B. But that one isn’t even listed on ARRIS’s website. Anyone know anything?

internet quit working suddenly on surfboard SBG7400AC2. Never have had any issues until tonight.

I’ve been using an old surfboard modem with google wifi mesh for years but never seeing speeds over 150mbps. Xfinity told me this was because my modem was outdated and couldn’t support higher speeds, which by the specs is probably true. so I upgraded the modem to the s33. With speed tests, I was now getting 800mbps at the modem (what I pay for), but my WiFi was still topping around 200mbps on devices nearby. I decided to ditch the mesh altogether as my house is not that big, and got the g36 modem/router instead. Now on 5g, I’m getting WiFi speeds between 350-450 when near the router, down to 80mbps two rooms over. On 2.4g I’m getting 40mbps max. Is this really the best WiFi speeds I can get with the g36?

I have pressed and held the button in the little hole and waited until lights go out. Then waited until it came back up. I have internet access, but the login on the SBG10 is not being reset after multiple attempts. I read about a suggestion to reset the gateway, but do not see directions on how to do this.

Furious customer here!! For several MONTHS I have been battling with Arris for a refund for a modem that failed within one year of use. They refused to refund, as the product was not purchased directly through them. (A very unfair policy that leaves most consumers at a loss, as most merchants will not accept faulty tech merchandise and will just tell you to contact the tech company directly). So, they sent a replacement instead. This sadly failed to work within ONE week of use! Clearly there is a problem with their products (as I’ve now seen from lengthy searches on this forum and online, including a class action lawsuit in 2017). There seems to be a significant number of issue with their products and compatibility with Xfinity. Compounding this, the customer service experiences I have had have been HORRENDOUS, including empty promises to return calls; no direct line offered to the senior rep, Priya, I have been fruitlessly working with, requiring a minimum of 30 minutes per call as ju

I just installed a G36 modem on my Comcast ISP (setting it in Bridge mode). After the fact I discover that many others have had connectivity issues with this modem, with the finger pointed at the firmware. And the finger pointing solution seems directed away from Arris toward the ISP. My firmware is what came installed when I bought the unit late last year : 01.04.288.01.01.NCS Does anyone have newer firmware than that? And how bad are the connectivity problems?
