G34 has no internet and flashs blue.

I tried to login to access the web manager and follow the instructions on the quick guide. It says invalid user name or password when I type in the login information they provide.

How can I change the password from a string of numbers to something easier for me to remember? I have just plugged in a new G34-80A5-5G

I’ve had a Mesh system for three years. One of my routers shorted out and am wondering if it is wise to just buy another Mesh Router for $170 or the G34 for $180 which would replace everything however I still have one additional working router and the arris modem from my original mesh purpose. My main concern is I get great coverage with the Mesh in my 2 story house which is around 4000 sq ft. Is the G34 reliable enough for proper coverage as well? Thanks

Is the G54 modem/router a better device than a Xfinity XB8 gateway?

My new arris modem will not allow my hp photosmart printer to connect. My printer test result says I need to add the MAC address to the list if permitted devices for the wireless router. I did this repeatedly and it still will not connect. The printer identifies the network name, but refuses to accept the password. Help!

My G34, I purchased in Feb, has been terrible since April 2024 with Xfinity internet service. Constantly dropping signal for hours and slow download speeds, day and night. Had Xfinity tech put in their modem 7 days ago and issue was resolved. I defaulted my G34 and tried to re-install yesterday but no gateway connectivity at all now? Checked the community chats and there is a lot of issues with the G34 / G36 modems with Xfinity. Not happy as modem was around $ 200.00 on Amazon. Xfinity and Arris need to update their compatibility list as this is ridiculous.

Can you put the G54 in bridge mode on the app?

I am looking to use the G54 with an eero. To do this I need to disable the router aspect of this device. How do I do that?

Replaced problem Motorola cable modem/router with G34 and was able to set it up ok. But when accessing the internet or even connecting to the router through the computer all connections or changing pages seem to hang for several seconds before connecting. Speeds seem ok then until changing websites or selecting an item in the router settings. I never had this issue before. Even connecting to my media server through the network seems to hang for several seconds.

How do I setup the 2.4 and 5.0 GHZ Networks on my SBG8300?

I have set up my Arris G34 modem. The 5G is working perfectly fine on my phone and laptop. My Amazon link cameras Sync Module needs to access the 2.4Ghz to operate, but doesn’t recognize the password. Can I establish a separate password for the 2.4? If so, how? Thanks, Lisa

I can’t login using the password that I just created when I did a hard reset to get to the pages to change my guest wifi passwords for security purposes. I have an Arris SBG8300 I did two hard resets now to try to solve it and it skips the username creation item and goes straight to the create a password and reenter password page which I completed. I then changed the name and passwords of my primary daily Wifis - but to access the guest wifi band pages - I need to login using the account info...On that side, it’s saying that I’m putting incorrect credentials (“admin” and my new password). I tried the new password from the initial steps, the new primary daily wifi password, and the number password on the back of router, I tried resetting the router again and doing it all again and no success….I validated they were all correct multiple times. Is there another username other than “admin”, perhaps? Thanks in advance!

This G36 is the worse modem I have ever owned. I’ve had it less than a week and it’s been nothing but issues. I want to go back to my old modem and router. ALL solutions for issues with the G36 seem to require complete reset of the modem/router and starting all over again. The mobile app is a steaming pile of junk. I can’t access the modem through my browser because it won’t accept my email login. Sorry but it’s my ONLY email. The solution is to reset everything and start over.

Using Xfinity & Arris G36 I’ve tried unsuccessfully to use this application several times and ways and I cannot get it to connect. I always get an error. Has anybody got G36 to work with Comcast Xfinity in 2024? i’ve been in software engineer for 18 years so I don’t think it’s my errors. I think it’s the app.

Hello Support. My G36 suddenly stopped working today. I will not reset after holding the reset button for >1 minute. The light changes from solid orange to flashing green and then repeats. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. It is still in warranty.

Solid blue light, able to log into Wi-Fi but says no internet. internet provider confirms my modem is online. accessed the gateway summary, connection, WAN shows an active IP address. please assist.

Does anyone know why the only thing being reported back to me by my G36 via the app is a very low signal strength warning for one of my connected devices, and a suggestion to move it closer to the G36. But here's the "Huh?" part: It's the initial router in a Wi-Fi mesh system and it's hardwired to the G36 on a Cat6 cable that's not 6 feet long. It has NO wireless connection to it, so why is my G36 worried about a low RSSI?

It's random. But, my modem looses both 2.4 and 5g connection. Randomly. Hardwire works fine. Usually resetting modem temporarily fixes problem. But, it can happen anytime. 1 day, 1 hour or even a few days later. Sometimes multiple times a day. My dad has same modem and never has this problem!

Cannot change username and password on G34. HELP! ARRIS site says "WARNING! NOT SECURE!"

This is weird! On one laptop, the first to connect to the ARRIS, and near the modem, the username (the 2.4G one) is G34-66CD (and only that one for the ARRIS shows up), and the second laptop to connect, which is on a different floor, has only the username G34-66CD-5G showing up for the ARRIS...and the download speed is more than twice as fast! PROBLEM: I can’t get G34-66CD-5G, the correct one, on my first LAPTOP! I don’t get why it’s happening like that. Any ideas and/or solutions? THANKS!!!

I recently installed and activated through internet provider, Xfinity. Slow sporadic WiFi, very limited range.

New G34 solid blue light and no internet period. ISP says it is junk.
