adding extra satellites

I need to add more than 3 satellites to my system.     however, the app won’t let me do that.    Is there a way to work around this?current system consists of a modem (sb8200) wired to w31.  This is then wired to a w30 and this is then wired to another w30.    By “wired”, I mean connected via Ethernet.     The distance is rather long between the satellites and my home is old with lots of interference in the walls.     I have a 4th satellite that I want to add but can’t figure out how.     what about upgrading the modem to a wifi capable one and then moving the satellite that is currently connected to it, to a different location?    I still think I will need 4 satellites…any thoughts?

Android Surfboard Central does not save configuration

Hello. I'm trying to set up the Surfboard W31 router. I'm using Surfboard Central from the Google Play Market (the latest version) for the setup, and my mobile phone is a Samsung S22+. I don't have any problems with the initial setup. However, the Surfboard Central app simply doesn't save the settings, and after exiting, it suggests going through the initial setup again (which would require resetting the router settings). What should I do?Yes, i tried to reboot the phone :) - no luck.

2.4GHz Network and a 5GHz Network W130/W30

Does the MaxPro also support two separate wireless networks. Most of my devices do just fine with smart connect, but I have one door lock that will only work on 2.4 and will not work with smart connect.Thanks

network slows to crawl when another satellite is connected

I have frontier fios and the minute I added the satellite my speed dropped for all devices. The TV would either freeze and if working the picture quality was choppy. My laptop was only getting approximently 40mb. When I unplug the system speed comes right back up.  The make it sound like “Plug and Play” but that is obviously not the case :). I know about networking as a rock :) Are they any tech documents that I can review on this issue.Thanks for your help.

I am going to purchase the max pro mesh system az-11000. Do I also need to purchase a modem/router for frontier fios? I do not have a modem currently as I have my own asus modem.

How Can I Confirm after Wired Backhaul? W121

I have a pair of W121 mesh wi-fi units.  I set it up with the 2nd unit upstairs and configured it with a wi-fi backhaul (wireless).  Worked.  Then I ran an ethernet cable to use Wired Backhaul.  How can I know the system is using the wire and not the wi-fi as before?   I combed through the app and see no indication the Wire is working.  How can I tell?

HelloI have the AX-6600 Surfboard Max W-21 & W-22 as my satellite connectivity from Century fiber to copper converter. I’d like to know if I can change the DNS in the W-21 router and if so how? TIA

Is mAX W30 compatible with S33?

Just upgraded from a SB8200 to S33 modem and my mAX W30 mesh router doesn’t seem to connect. Turned off the mesh device, unplugged other ethernet devices, tried 2.5 and 1.2 ports (I know, 1.2 has to be turned on by Comcast / Xfinity). Surfboard Central mobile app does not list w30.Do I now have to upgrade my router / wifi?

add satellite function not working W130/W30

When trying to add my w31 satellite in the app, once I get to the first screen the next button does nothing. I have tried multiple devices with the same result. I have even reset both routers and reconnected the main device successfully. It appears that the add satellite function is just not working. Any ideas of what to try or is this a bugged app issue?

What is with the “back office”?Attempting to create network and add satellites to my W31 -- I have internet via the W31, just insufficient coverage. . . Is there another way, other that SURFBoard Central” to configure my network?. . .

Max Pro AX11000 LED light too DIM

I have three (3) Surfboard Max Pro AX11000 devices.  Two (2) I purchased several years ago and the blue LED status light rings are too DIM.  I went into the app and pushed the slider all the way to 100%, but they are still too DIM.  I rebooted them and the LED is nice and bright during reboot, until it reaches the blue LED at the end when they suddenly are very DIM again.  The third unit that I recently purchased has a nice bright blue LED light.  Any suggestions on how to get a brighter blue LED light, so I can easily check the status in a well lit room?

W130 - not connecting via Bluetooth

I am trying to reset my W130 router that I have previously set up.  I am using a Samsung Tab A to do so.  It is literally sitting next to the w130 and I am getting the 0014-1202 “Bluetooth Connection Failed” error.  Bluetooth is turned on the tablet and right next to the router.  I am using the Surfboard Central App.  I remember when I first setup this router 3 years ago, I had similar problems getting it setup.  I don't remember what I did to get it to work.  What should i try to get this to work again?

W121 LED Settings: Slider does not change brightness

I installed the W121main and satellite units yesterday. On both the main and the satellite units, the LED settings slider does not change the brightness. I have the app installed in two places, on an IPhone and IPad and neither slider will change the brightness.

Connecting wireless printer to W21 router

I have a wireless printer (HP LaserJet Pro M201dw) that I previously had connected to my network. Then I got an S33 cable modem and a mAX W21 mesh router, and the SSID for my network changed. When I tried to update the printer, the only options are to use WPS or PIN to connect to the router, at which point I realized that there’s no support for WPS on the W21 (even though the Q&A on Amazon said there was).In the FAQ in the Surfboard Central app, it says to just add the device like I did my modem/router, but when I click on ‘Add Device’ it says “You have added maximum two devices”.How am I supposed to add my wireless printer to the network?

Change and expand mesh system

Have W33 Modem with W21 Router and W11 satellite. Need to expand coverage. P:urchased set of W121s. Do I need to replace W21 with W121 as primary router, remove W11 and add W121 and W21 as satellites or can I just add W121s as satellites to W21?

Slow wifi download speeds for W121 max mesh systems

I have fidium fiber 1gb download/upload speed, but the wifi download speed is only around 350mbs compared to 800mbs upload speed. Why is the wifi download speed so slow? How do I fix the slow download speed? I tried the ethernet connection and it shows 900mbs download and upload. The slow wifi download speed is tested on multiple speed tests websites (e.g. consolidated communications, xfinity, ookla, etc.).

Can Arris X5 Ziply Fiber Model X5042 be used wirelessly with Technicolor DGA2232?

Hey,I rent a Technicolor DGA2232 from my ISP. It’s supporting EasyMesh protocol.I’m trying to look for mesh solution. My obligatory requirement is that the 1st extender node would connect wirelessly (1st time wired setup is OK if needed).My first bet was Technicolor OWA0131 but unfortunately it isn’t available for shipment to my region.So I looked for another EasyMesh products and found Arris X5042.However, documentation states that wireless connection from 1st node is enabled only for routers which supports HomeAssure. Would it work for my rented Technicolor DGA2232 which does support EasyMesh? or an Arris router is the only supported router for 1st node wireless connection.Regards

Need to connect W121

I have the same questions. I have two W121’s...one connects...the other doesn’t. /the only way I could get even one to work was to connect a LAN connection into the WAN port. I could never see the  private surfboard-onboarding wi-fi network that is supposed to popup. This may be because these W121s were previously connected to a different ARRIS surfboard.

Mesh reset max pro W133/W31

I lost power and internet. When the power came back on, the internet came back on, but not my wifi.  I tried unplugging my Main Max and also tried re-booting it via the app, but nothing work.  I still got a red light.  Then I went for the reset button, and now I have a blinking orange light. Now I can’t figure out how to “re-install” the system. I tried removing the device using the app, but it is still there, and when I try adding a new device, the mAX Pro is not even listed as one of the options.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks
