I have Cox gigablast and was getting 940Mbps speeds with my Motorola MB8600. I’ve “upgraded” to the Arris S33 and S34 and I’m getting weird results with the 2.5G port. Both modem continue to download at 940Mbps when connected to the 1G port. However, when connected to the 2.5G port, I only get between 180-300Mbps. I’ve tried multiple laptops, desktops, and switches with 2.5G ports. I’ve also used Cat6a and Cat 8 cables but the results are all consistent. I would assume I would continue to get 940Mbps when connected to the faster 2.5G port. Also worth noting is that I do not get a link/connection light on any of the modems’ ethernet ports, but the respective activity light flashes green when connected to either port. And of course, I’ve rebooted the modem with and without the ethernet connected to either port. I returned the S33 thinking it was defective and the purchased the S34 which demonstrates the same issue.Is this a firmware issue or does the carrier need to enable the 2.5G port?

We have a customer who has this unit. We are noticing problems with this LTE Router Internet Gateway.  We have multiple devices that will randomly not be able to communicate with our AWS servers. No matter what we do the only thing that can get the units back online and communicating is Resetting the NVG558HX to Factory defaults. It appears it is blacklisting these devices, however, there is nowhere in the router settings that shows our devices are blocked. they show that they are connected. I really need to speak to a tier2 or 3 agent if possible. 

I can't connect to Internet because of WiFi password, it always says "check password and try again". But password is right for sure, I wasn't change it, it is default. And I checked many times, I know it's right. I don't know why I can't connect. This is what I see in the mobile app (screenshots), I use Surfboard central app (my phone not support another app named "arris Surfboard manager") . please help 

Hi, I have a reciever from Mtel (CommScope Arris VIP7300) that uses tech4home Notus M1 remote. It has some app Branded from Arris and provided by CommScope to configure the remote to integrate with the TV but the app errors out with code 5003 or 5002 and i cannot program the remote and the support line is unable to help me sort this issue out?  Commscope forwarded me to contact you for help.Thank you, 

Xfinity claims that Upstream Power Levels should be +35 to +50 dBmV. The S33 wants Upstream Power Levels to be +45 to +51 dBmV.A lot of Xfinity customers have +35 to +44.9dBmV Upstream Power Levels and they aren’t getting Gigabit performance.How do we fix this?

My internet stopped working and when I went to reset my modem I noticed something odd, the lights aren’t going off.   Now of course when I unplug it they go off but when I plug it back in they immediately turn fully back on. i tried resetting it with what I think is the reset button on the back (there is a hole but it’s not labeled) and also tried the IP for internet reset but it’s not coming up. 

I don't have warranty on my modem. The model number that I have is SBG6700-AC. I've had it for a few years. In the past, I've always used this IP address http://192.168.0.1 and was able to login into the router using admin and password to go in and change the SSID along with the password. For some reason whenever I attempt to log in with that IP address on my laptop or smartphone, I get the message: This site can’t be reached192.168.0.1 took too long to respond.Try:Checking the connectionChecking the proxy and the firewallRunning Windows Network DiagnosticsERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OI really want to change the SSID along with the password. Is there another way I can change the SSID and password?

My modem (svg2482ac) works fine for surfing the internet, as well as for my landline. My printer, however, is looking for a WPS connection in order to connect to the modem. I have tried restarting the modem completely from scratch and then pressing the WPS button on top of the modem. The WPS button will blink for about 3 or 4 minutes and then turn off. What am I doing wrong?

Hey there, Community, I own the ARRIS (SB8200) - Cable Modem - Fast DOCSIS 3.1 , Approved for Comcast Xfinity, Cox, Charter Spectrum, & more | 1 Gbps Max Internet Speed, 4 OFDM Channels I bought the ( 2x pack ) of  ARRIS SURFboard mAX W121 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System, AX6600 Speeds up to 6.6 Gbps, Coverage up to 5,500 sq ft  The speeds for wifi have been MUCH better than they were before. We have 3 gamers trying to vy for the wifi so I'd like to drop that to 2 by adding a Moc adapter to my room so I wouldn't need the wifi while gaming. I got a ( 2x ) starter kit of the ScreenBeam Bonded MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter for Highest Speed Internet, Ethernet Over Coax - Starter Kit (Model: ECB7250K02) hoping to be able to plug my PC in that way and take advantage of the ethernet speeds but on the other side of the house from where the router is. However when I connect everything as instructed I can't connect via ethernet due to an IP issue? I think? Is this something I can resolve on my own

After a storm last week, my internet became spotty and unreliable after all devices working perfectly and in-sync prior to this. I factory reset everything I do not know how many times.. I called Google support several times, as well as my ISP Xfinity - to no avail. After the reset - the extenders can’t connect to my arris. I have 3 Google Nest WiFi Pro - I use one as the router and it is connected to my Arris SBG7400AC2 via Ethernet cable. Now, I have internet through Arris but signal is weak throughout the house. When I try to add a device through the google home app, it displays all 3 Nest wifi devices  , I select the one that I’ve been using and that is connected via Ethernet cable, I go though the promts but when I get to the “connect the Ethernet cable” - I get stuck! Nothing happens.. I also tried to swap the devices to see maybe that one is bad one now - not working. I also cannot log in to the Arris admin menu to see if I can bridge it.. Internet randomly went out and my S33 modem would do one white blink then turn orange and blink slowly and kept repeating the cycle. I tried a to restart it and even plugged it into a different outlet. Making a squeaky noise as well. Contacted xfinity and they are stating it’s the modem. Any help would be great. Also warranty is for another year. Now it’s just staying the color white.

I don’t have a computer that can connect to the modem via ethernet and I need to create a new network name and password since the modem is connected to the ISP provider

Does the W133 router have a browser interface? If so how to access? Or am I limited to the phone app?

I need some help troubleshooting the wireless my SBG8300. My wifi is dropping out daily and sometimes multiple times a day. For a connected device, the wifi will stop working. Sometimes the device will show connected with no internet and sometimes it will drop the connection. Sometimes the SSID is still visible but devices are unable to connect. Sometimes the SSID is not visible. Once I reboot the modem, all wifi radios are working again. This has been happening for months but more frequent recently.I have a 2.4gz radio set up, I have a 5ghz radio set up and I have a 2.4ghz isolated guest network set up. Sometimes the 5ghz radio will stop working and the others will continue to work. I’m trying to setup a Netgear wifi range extender to use with my Arris G34 moden/router and I can’t get the Netgear to recognize the router. I had an older Arris before and had no problem setting up the extender.  I called netgear and they said I’d have to log into my router account for them to continue to troubleshoot. Every time I tried to do that I got a message that it was not a secure website and I was not able to go any further. What should I try now?

I bought the SBG8300 about a year ago and hooked it up to my existing Google Nest wifi bundle (which includes a router and two access points). The Google nest was hooked up to my previous Verizon router with no problems. A year ago we switched to XFinity and that is when the issues began, just not that often, until now. On occasion this past year, we have had wifi issues connecting to the Google nest. But over the past few weeks, it has been a non stop problem. One of the access points keeps going offline. I have tried cycle powering them down and then up and that works for a little while, before one of the points goes offline again. I’m thinking maybe this is a configuration issue between these devices?I saw the article about setting up the SBG8300 in bridge mode, but I also saw this statement:“Setting the SBG8300 in Bridge mode disables the router” Dumb question, but don’t I need a router? Woke up and had no wifi. Checked with ISP and there are no outages. Reset my router and now it only shows up under G34 and a string of numbers but still has our same password. When I pull it up in the surfboard app it still has the original name. I can log intoo our wifi under the g34 name on my phone but no network show up under the original name. I really don’t want to reprogram every device in my house to connect to this new random name. What’s going on and how do I fix it?

I am currently using 1G service from Xfinity but will be switching to Quantum fiber next week - that will entail using a mesh network they will install and my Arris wifi cable modem will no longer work with the fiber service.  I’ve been using a wired connection for my office computer and wanted to see what will change when it goes to a wireless (mesh) network after the fiber is installed.  So, I ran some tests comparing the wired and wireless speeds from my current SBG 8300 cable modem.What I see is that I get 924/42 speeds from the wired connection and 380/41 from the wireless connection.  The wireless test is using the 5G connection with my computer sitting 6 feet from the modem and no other devices currently being used.  I also tested my speed in my basement using the 5G network and it also shows around 400/40.  Presumably the 5G connection should be getting about double that - and I do get double with the wired connection.  So, my question is why the wireless connections are so muc

There seems to be conflicting messages on the box / tech specs. For example, specs say Download Speeds:  (Wi-Fi 6) speeds up to 7.8 Gbps , yet the box says “perfect for 500 Mbps speed internet plans”. Do i need to get 500Mbps plan or will 2 of these work for a 1000Mbps plan ?  I prefer to get the 1000Mbps plan, use the xFinity Gateway and use BridgeMode with these 2 Arris routers. Thanks all!

I got a refurbished SBG7400AC2 and set it up today. I can connect but I want to change the network names/passwords. I went to the website 192.168.100.1 and put in a stronger password. Then I went to the configure screen and tried the new password, the default “password” and the last 8 numbers of the serial number but nothing has worked. I’ve reset to default settings multiple times but it still doesn’t work. Everything has gone smoothly until now but this is getting really frustrating. Can anyone help?

There is no way to contact surfboard except for your website. Your website is NOT helpful. Nothing except plenty of ads for new products. Support the one's that you distributed already!!You need live tech support if you are going to sell inferior products that DO NOT connect to the internet!Do not purchase if you have Xfinity..I never did connect after hours with Xfinity tech support!

My slow speed internet lost wi if connection with devices in the house but high speed devices continued to remain connected after an internet and power outage. I tried reentering WiFi passwords on the slow devices no luck. I logged on to surfboard app and toggled bridge mode. Now all devices connect on to the WiFi signal in the house but are no longer connected to the internet. How do I reset modem/ router to factory settings without bridge mode. Surfboard internet location 192.168.0.1 no longer works. 

Instructions say to locate the SSID and Password on the device label. There is no sub no label. How do I complete this step?
