I have the SB6190 Arris Surfboard and want to change the power band width from 5 g to 2.4g. My pellet grill app requires 2.4g to connect to the Wi-Fi. Any help would be appreciated.

As of 6:30 am my internet connection has been shut off after a power outage. Which occured multiple times before and the service stayed on but stopped at 6:30 am. Its in Georgia where the flooding is happening. When should I expect my connection to return? 

I have xfinity cable TV service and I can’t get the Cable boxes to work with the G34. I get the RDK-10000 error message. Do I need to change a setting?

Is it possible to completely disable the WiFi radios on the G54?I didn’t even think this was a question needing to be asked, until I got a competitor’s product today, and it’s impossible to turn off the radio. (Verified with tech support.) So that’s being returned.The G54 is my next choice, I’ve read the manual, and that doesn’t say that you can. That does say you can turn off the 2.4GHz radio in section 4 of configuring your WiFi. It even has a picture of the screen with a big button to turn the radio off. The sections on 5 and 6 GHz don’t have a picture, and say to repeat steps 5 on (so no step 4).There are several other threads here, which are unclear on this, and show various disable buttons on various screens. Or you have to go into bridge mode.So with the latest firmware, can you turn off all radios on the G54, which still being a router? 

I bought a new g34 and my isp says I need to contact the manufacturer to have my modem provisioned but I can’t find where to get ahold of the manufacturer 

I have an TP link Archer 5400 someone gave me would like to bridge it to the G54 using the G54 as main router is this possible? Or would I only be able to use G54  in Bridge mode? I’s really prefer to use the G54 as main router leaving the Wi-Fi on? I am able to put the Archer 5400 in Access mode and connect to the G54 but only with Ethernet cable can I do this wirelessly?

Not all four 1 gbps ports are putting out 1000 mbps. Getting the following connection strength.Port 2: 1000 mbps down and upPort 3: 1000 mbps down and upPort 4: 100 mbps down and upPort 5: 10 mbps down and up (Does not work properly)Is this normal?

So I purchased an S33, brand new, from BestBuy on Saturday.  I was not able to activate the modem with the xfinity app so they put me into contact with one of the CS representatives via text chat.  After a long period of time they came back and said the modem could not be activated on the network because it was registered to somebody else, and advised that I contact the manufacturer. Here’s the funny part.  Last week I purchased a different modem, from a different manufacturer, and from a different retailer.  When trying to activate it I got virtually the same story - I was told it was a refurbished unit (that’s not what I purchased) and it was currently registered to somebody else. What are the odds of this happening twice? Pretty far out there I’d guess.  Is someone out there spoofing MAC addresses?  Does xFinity really not want me to own my own modem?  They’ve been of absolutely no help.  Is there somebody here that can help me?  I was trying to access the live chat, which is suppos

I need to connect a ROUTER BOOSTER to my modem and it tells me just to press the WPS button to do so. Well I don't have a WPS button on my router so I'm wondering if anybody can tell me where it is please?  I need the booster because my security cameras outside aren't getting a good signal.

I am trying to connect Arris Surf board SBG10 and I got the error 0000-1634?? 

My devices are not connecting to the Wi-Fi name  due to the incorrect password how do I recover my password of change it ?

I connected my eufy doorbell camera with chime, everything works well except the liveview. I can view recorded videos but cannot do a liveview. I followed all the troubleshooting steps suggested by eufy tech support and followed the recommendation on here to change the security with no success. Any other ideas?

I logged into my SB6190 modem by going to 192.168.0.1 in my browser to change my Wi-Fi password. I set the new password, but when I attempted to saved it, my system froze. I finally had to reboot. When I did, I was not able to log into my network using either the old or the new password. After several attempts, I logged into the 2.4 network instead of the 5.0. I was able to get online, so I tried to log into the modem setup using 192.168.0.1 again. I got an error message stating that there is no internet connection, even though I am on the internet.I have attempted multiple times to reset the 6190 to factory settings to no avail. It always comes back to my original two Wi-Fi networks of which only the 2.4 will work. Any ideas on what to do next?

Is there any updates and where can you find them for The S33 modem

I had an SBG6580-2 router/wifi in service for 2-3 years, until this week.  Had a power outage, and the router would not reconnect to Xfinity service (for a couple of days).  Checked with neighbors--they had service (with Xfinity supplied router).  Bought a new router/wifi unit (SBG10) and attempted, for the rest of the day, to install it, without success. Next day I reset the unit and my computer was able to access the WiFi service.  However, the computer wold not recognize my wireless printer (printer off-line), and my ROKU TV, nor other ROKU access devices, could not access the WiFi service.. That’s where I am now.Other questions:  When I enter the indicated IP address (192.168.0.1), I get a page with User Name - admin, and Password -blank, and an “Apply” button.,  An I supposed to enter a user name and password of my own, or just use “admin” and “password”?  I’ve tried both ways and still can’t get my TV/devices connected.   Can I (should I) reset my router?wifi to “factory settings

ARRIS TG3442 does not logged in ( first time, just installed)

I own the Arris Modem #SB8200 and I needed to register it with my internet provide when I installed it.  I controller this modem completely, is that correct?  I am wondering if I need to install firmware updates or this is done automatically when I own the modem.  I see that when the ISP owns this modem, they are in control of the updates.Thank you.

Greetings! I followed the recommendation for a Surfboard for our smart thermostat (see link).The thermostat disconnects and reconnects during the day. Even when connected, the connection to the company’s server is lost. Yesterday, the HVAC tech said it’s because the two bands do not run parallel but occasionally intersect. The thermostat doesn’t know what to do since it requires 2.4, so it disconnects. He suggested contacting ARRIS to see if the router can be programmed for parallel signals. Any ideas? Thank you! 

Our Arris S33 has worked like a champ for nearly 2 years.  Then, one evening two weeks ago, the modem suddenly dropped its connection to our ISP, Optimum.  There was no general service outage, and neither rebooting; repowering, nor factory resetting the modem helped--it remained unable to lock to an upstream channel signal, though it could lock to one downstream channel (channel 28).I next disconnected the modem and tried reconnecting it to the cable at the point where the cable first enters our house--ahead of any other equipment or splits.  Still no joy…  The S33 gave the same result--no ability to lock to an upstream channel.I then contacted Optimum support, and they could not remotely communicate with the modem either, which convinced me that either there was a problem in the signal somewhere between the road and our house OR that the modem had somehow failed.  An in-home Optimum service call was arranged.The tech who showed up confirmed everything stated above.  He then swapped-in

I can no longer login as admin with the correct password. I kept getting “Please Login First” prompt after logging in. If I entered a wrong password, I received invalid credential error message. I hesitate to reset the hardware because it would mean I would spend eternity to connect all the devices that connected to the network.

Hi. I’m looking for an Arris cable modem that’s compatible with Optimum/Altice to replace the one I’ve been renting from them since I’ve had their service.I just need a standard modem with a telephone port, I’m not looking for one with built-in Wi-Fi.Optimum won’t provide me with any information, so I thought I would ask here.If anyone can provide me with some information, I would appreciated it. After a lightning storm, my SB8200 modem is showing flashing icon (scanning for downstream channel Internet connection). Does this indicate that the modem is damaged or that the Internet service is damaged or interrupted?  Mediacom says problem is with the modem?

As title states, when I am in  modem GUI and I have no option in the Configuration menu to disable the LED lights on the front of the unit. Yes, I already read article to turn of the LED lights on the modem and that’s how I know it isn’t working. Any help would be appreciated.
