SB8200 keeps dropping internet blue light goes out all lights are green no internet I have had isp provider out 3 time tech says it’s the modem 

I have the G34 and We are having huge loss of speed over wifi. This has been an ongoing issue since we got the equipment and it is getting worse, not better. ( and of course, the warranty ended in Jan)I had the internet prover ( cox  cable) come out and check for issues, but they  did not find anything on their side. The speed coming in to the modem/ router is 1g, but the speeds I get on wifi even standing right next to the router is 45 download and 36 upload. Is there anything I can do to trouble shoot and get the speed increased for wifi?( I am not a tech person at all, so instructions in  simple step by step terms would be greatly appreciated 🙂 )

I cannot find my password for this new modem

Had one of my W21s go down after the software update bricked one of my routers.received my replacement, and have been trying to add the second replacement w21 router as satellite. unfortunately, the main router doesn't show in surfboard central. I only see the modem in the application, so it won’t let me add a satellite. the main w21 router is blue and connected to the internet; just doesn’t show up in the Surfboard Central Application; therefore can’t add the satellite.saw a similar post, but didn’t see the issue ever resolved. 

What is the difference between V2 and V3 How can I tell what my SB8200 is

I just purchased a new modem I thought was a 2 in 1 modem router. It's an SB6190 I see I'm connected directly. I don't see a router name to connect wireless. That & with the direct connection I'm on a nat type 1. I need a nat type 2 to play games online. Anyone know how to get to a type 2 signal ? What happened to the days when we bought a product & could actually talk to someone to get everything set up properly within the first 24hr? 

I'm having same issue  with sbg7600, cut out 4 times yesterday.  Before that it was fine.

Have a surfboard SB6190 that seems to be dropping the incoming Spectrum signal between it and my tp-link wireless router. Talked to Spectrum, they swear their incoming signal is steady and not dropping. Firmware on the router is up to date.  Any suggestions on how to remedy this situation? Thank you. 

Hi,  i have a surfboard SB8200 modem. Just today, it started to behave funny, would drop internet connections frequently. I checked with Comcast, everything is fine in my area. Upon rebooting modem (unplug the power cord), I would get Internet for 10 mins before it goes out again.  logging into the arris status page, I see Upstream bonded channels sometimes doesn’t existing and there’s only one downstream bonded channel too, which doesn’t seem right at all considering I have 300mbps service with Comcast.  I already checked the warranty status and luckily I’m in warranty. The SN is 21T5J1699603171. Can you progress an RMA replacement for me asap as Internet is down for my whole house. 

I can no longer change the password on my Arris SBR1900AC. I can change the username, but not the password. See screenshot attached.  In the “Change Password” Dialog, there is no field to “Enter New Password” I’m on a Mac Pro, Early 2009, running 10.15.17, and Safari 15.6.1.The Mac is connected to the router via ethernet.Haven’t had any issues until recently.  Any help much appreciated

What does it mean if all four lights are green while rebooting but the two middle ones turn blue and power and glove button go white?  I am not getting internet but isp says signal is just fine.  Also Ethernet  port is flashing yellow on back or modem and router.  Have already tried new Ethernet and resetting router and modem

Hi purchase an Arris G36 yesterday.  We are having difficulties with internet connection and I want to change the name of our WiFi and the password.

When I try to log into the modem management website, using any viewer I get a message similar to this: “Supported Browsers VersionsThe version of Mozilla Firefox you are using is unsupported. Your Gateway's web interface has been tested to work with the minimum version: 63.0.3.” This is severely out-of-date, since the current version of Firefox is 125.0.1.  That’s problem #1. The main problem is that it’s telling me my login credentials are incorrect… but giving me no clue how to fix that.  It doesn’t offer the ability to change my password, doesn’t offer email verification, offers no help at all.  After several attempts using different passwords (I have about 3 “registered” with Arris), it locked me out of my own management page.  I appreciate security when it’s good, but this is seriously outdated and poorly designed software.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can solve this problem.  Calling Arris “support” wound up in their automated system repeatedly hanging up the phone ins

Hi all,I am using an ARRIS router model NVG578LX provided by an internet provider.I need some help on how to turn on the 2.4GHz channel with wireless IEEE802.11b/g/n standards.It is because my desktop doesn’t have a built in wifi adapter hence I have to use an Edimax usb which only works with the IEEE802.11b/g/n standards.I have successfully turned on the 2.4GHz separated from the combine channel (the primary). I also tried turn on and off the 5Ghz. Unfortunately, the Edimax usb couldn’t find (see) the 2.4GHz network.Noting that:All the phones and laptops can find/see and access to the 2.4GHz.  I also tried to turn on the Guess wifi with 2.4Ghz (but the Edimax coudn’t find/see the network). the Edimax usb still can see other network providers from the neighbours surrounding.  the Edimax usb worked well with the previous internet provider using a different router (not from ARRIS) but only when I turned on the IEEE802.11b/g/n standards using the settings. it seems this is the key issue.

Zito Media (my ISP) sent out a tech because how how frequently the internet has been dropping out. But even after running a new line into the house the problem prevails. They told me it’s a problem with the modem. I have only had this modem for 9 months but it was refurbished and now just barely out of warranty of course. Is there any fix or can I get any sort of credit/discount on a replacement modem?

The surfboard app is only showing 2 devices on my network which is not correct. App appears not to update or show/display any correct information making it essentially useless.  Also experiencing connection issues including devices randomly disconnecting from the network then not able to locate G34 to connect.  extremely frustrating and poor customer experience at this point. 

My kid for weeks now has been having issues with the WiFi but I’ve been chucking it up to plaster and lathe house and distance from router. I just tried to print something from my phone while on the 2.4Ghz WiFi which worked in the past but was having issues. This lead to me removing the Ethernet cord from my computer and trying to connect my computer to WiFi.Upon running a speed test on speedtest.net, I was getting 5Mbps, if I’m lucky, while the 5GHz gives 300+ Mbps and Ethernet 500+ Mbps. I saw similar posts talking about changing the channel so I tried that and the best outcome was 30Mbps. Is my Surfboard SBG7400AC2’s 2.4GHz WiFi components shot? Did I hit the side of it or something to cause damage internally? Why is it so much slower? I get WiFi is supposed to be slower than wired but not to this extent. What can I do? Does Arris have an address to diagnose your router or something?

I got a SBG8300 and I reset it cause it was running slow and now it’s stuck on the blue light and it don’t even let me reset it again. I unplugged it overnight and still the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. 

Greetings! I own an SVG2482AC modem. My company is requesting that I change the primary DNS server. I just want to know if it's possible, and if so, how to do it. I called the technical support desk and was quickly told that I needed to buy that 30 second answer. I've never experienced this before, but it has been a couple of years since I've called the Arris company. So, I'm wondering if I might find the answer here. I can log in to my settings, but not able to find where I can change the DNS servers. Thanks for your thoughts.

I have the Surfboard Central app on my phone and I listed all my kids devices by name and type and put them under User Profiles for Parental Controls. Then I turned them all on but the children’s devices are still synced with the internet. (The toggle button indicates that parental control is enabled). How can I solve this issue so the parental control actually works? I only bought my modem in June 2023, so it shouldn’t be too old to function properly when it comes with a 2 year warranty.

Replacing an older modem/router that was continuously dropping the connection. I finally got the connection to work, but now I can not get access to the gateway to rename the hardware or to change passphrases. Does this require a factory reset?

I have spoken with two customer support folks from Cox trying to activate the S34. They both have told me it is not on their compatible devices list.  I chatted with a Arris customer service agent who said that it is compatible and to use model “RARS34” but this did not help.  Buyer beware.

So I'm new with these routers, and I'm wondering I have 2 of these. Can I put one where my modem is at and also one on the opposite side of my house. Will it make the range further if I do that. Also, these are only Wi-Fi 6 not Wi-Fi 6E, so I can't get the 6GHz with these correct? Also, to get its max potential I need cat6 cables not cat5E. Am I correct about this?

I have an SB8200 and pay for 1 Gig download from Xfinity.. I get a lot less than that and when I speak with Xfinity they just say its a modem issue with the SB8200. Everything looks fine with the modem. Downstream Bonded Channels are all within range - the Upstream Bonded Channels are a little low but not huge. How do I run a diagnostic test on the SB8200. This is the second SB82000 in 4 years and I don’t want to buy a third if they don’t last much beyond the warranty. Having said that, I don’t trust Xfinity
