s33 2.5G Port not working? (Unifi UDMP)

Hello - I recently purchased an S33 and have it configured as follows: Spectrum -- S33 -- SFP+ -- Unifi Dream Machine Pro WAN port The SFP+ is a 1-2.5-5-10G model from Ubiqiti. This configuration works just fine when I plug into the 1G port of the S33.  However, when I plug it into the 2.5G port, I get….nothing...no LEDs light up on the Unifi port at all.  The LEDs on the back of the S22 are solid green and amber.  I have tried multiple cables (currently using 0.5m of class 6E), rebooting both the modem and the router, etc., but nothing seems to work.   One other thing that might be relevant is that when it was originally provisioned it was done on the 1G port.  I called Spectrum, and they said that provisioning one port or the other wasn’t something that they did anyway. So, the question is:  how do I “enable” the 2.5G port? Thanks for your help!!

Warranty replacement for SB8200

Modem purchased May 17, 2022.  Worked until recently when internet connection would drop several times a day.  Resetting modem several times would restore connection.  ISP checked their equipment and replaced incoming cable because speed was a little slow.  This did not solve problem.  Due to visitors arriving in a few days I purchased a new SB8200 and this resolved problem.  Original modem was purchased at Walmart for $169.00 but they were out of stock when the unit began to fail and replacement was purchased at Best Buy for $138.99.  Both retailers told me to contact the manufacturer to recover the replacement purchase cost.  How do I proceed with this warranty claim?

Unable to login the GUI web portal, invalid password - G34

Modem is a couple of weeks old.  Was working fine.  I went to get into through my web browser like many other times and now this error message stops me cold when I put in my password…."Can not get password for admin from backend!"  What is up?  Tried power off and on. etc.  I have good connection internet with Wowway cable and both 2.4 and 5.0 are fine.  I just cant get in.

Hello All,I just bought the SBG8300. I am getting 570 MBps on Ethernet direct to Modem, and 70 MBps to Wifi. Spectrum 500 Plan iMac 2022 - 10 feet from router  Connected to 5 GHz No other devices connectredI see this complain in this community, but there is only a single reply and no conclusion. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes.When I log into surfboard central and under “My Devices”, they are all listed, but I cannot tell what all of them are.  I can see my computer and my cell phones, but all the others I cannot identify.  How do I tell what the devices are so that I can name them so that I will recognize which device I am working with?

Slow speed internet connection on SBG10

I have a SBG10 and it does connect to xfinity, but it is painfully slow.  Is something misconfigured?  My xfinity connection worked fine when I was using the xfinity modem, but is now very slow when trying to connect with my SBG10.

S33 Random Reboots - Xfinity - Again

I posted in here a few months ago about some trouble I was having with my S33. Xfinity ended up coming out and replacing the line from the box to my house and everything has been great until a couple days ago.The random reboots are back. I spent about 3 hours on the phone/chat with Xfinity and they are telling me nothing is wrong on their end and that I needed to contact Arris. I have no splitters or anything else in the way. The Xfinity guy ran the new cable into the basement. We put a brand new coupling on the end, and a brand new cable running to the modem. That is the only coax I use in the entire house. The line from the street goes directly to the modem.I am not sure what is causing these new random reboots, but I suspect I just have a bad modem and need to get a replacement. Its pretty easy to find S33 random reboot topics on the internet, but not a whole lot of fixes.Hopefully someone on here can steer me in the right direction.Thanks

xfinity + s33 + Deco M5 Mesh slow speed internet connection

I have been getting 80-120 Mbps on a 1200 Mbps Xfinity service. Yesterday I was told my old Arris is no longer supported, so I replaced with a new Arris S33. My home is 2 stories and ~3500 square feet. My modem and router are upstairs in a bedroom centrally located. I have a Deco M5 Mesh network with 3 stations - one in the bedroom upstairs near the router and two downstairs to reach the rest of the house. With the replaced router, I get 350Mbps in the bedroom and directly below it when testing speed on my iPhone 15 and brand new HP laptop.  I am unable to get my laptop to recognize the Ethernet network when I plug directly into the Arris modem, but it works fine when I plug into the connected Deco router. When I move into the bonus room over the garage, the speed drops by 65% to around 120Mbps. There is an electrical fuse panel below the bonus room and past that panel is where the speed seems to drop significantly. I have run all of the power setting tests that I found in a moderator

SBG8300 wifi password changed now wifi not working

I used the 192.168.0.1 to access my Arris SBG8300 Admin dashboard to change my wifi passwords. I wqs able to successfully change 1 PW for my 2.4G but as soon as it changed I lost wifi and access to the portal. I called xfinity to aak them to relink my modem using the new PW but they said “not my problem” basically and that bc I don't have an xfinity modem they don't have access to help. I need to get access back to my admin and reset my login PW too bc I realized I may have done all this wrong. So essentially I changed 1 wifi PW when I have several attached to my account ie: 5G, guest accts etc. So I’m at a loss on what to do bc none of my devices will now log back into admin. When I try I get the “ safari, couldn’t open the page because the server stopped responding” error every time. Help!!!!

G34 amber light solid on front panel no connection - G34

G34 front panel indicator light stays solid amber.After power cycling, still stays solid amber. After reset, still stays amber.Contacted Spectrum and confirmed no Internet outages. But, have no connectivity thru this modem either wifi or direct. Warranty is valid until December 2024. Need help please.Greg

Does the S33 support connection to an spf+ port using a transceiver to allow connecting with an RJ45 CAT 6A cable?

SERVICE PROVIDER = COX, 2GB SUPER FAST SERVICECABLE MODEM = ARRIS S33, connecting to the router using the 2.5 Gbps portROUTER = NIGHTHAWK XR700 In order to get the use out of 2.5Gbps service from COX, I have to use the 10 Gbps SPF+ port on my router, else I will still be bottlenecked by the 1Gbps port. I purchased an SPF + transceiver (2 different ones) that both say they are compatible with my Nighthawk/Netgear. When I try to connect this together, I keep getting an error indicating that I cannot get connected to my ISP aka Cox. Put the cable back into the 1Gbps port on the Nighthawk and all is well.  So I have a few hypothesis:Arris S33 will not work with an SPF+ transceiver Cox will not work with an SPF+ transceiver Both transceivers are defective though I do get clear link light activity from both the Arris and the Nighthawk using the CAT 6A cable (I have also tried different cables) I have misconfigured my router somehow (although I do have it set to read the SPF+ 10Gbps port vs.

Locked Out of ArrisSurfboard Account

I am locked out of my Arris Surfboard account and cannot reset my wifi network and password. I have tried to reset at 192.168.0.1, but receive this message "Invalid user name or password, or your access has been locked due to multiple failed login attempts!". Lost connectivity on my Arris G34.with WOW.

Lost connectivity with my G34 from my provider WOW.  Have tried a reboot and a factory reset, nothing.  Spent approximately 1/2 hour on the phone with WOW tech support.  They told me that they were not getting a signal back from the modem.  Checked on You Tube and the Ethernet cable connections are supposed to flash after holding the reset button for 30 to 45 seconds, that doesn’t happen.  I have read on the community forum that there maybe a firmware update for the G34 and G36 that provider has but doesn’t download to customers who have their own device.  I have reconnected my old router SBG10 and it works fine.  Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.Barry

Can T25 support higher (240Mbps) upload speed?

Is the T25 modem capable of supporting 240 Mbps upload speed. It is rated to support 8 upstream channels - but my current device shows only 4 upstream channels are enabled. With 4 upstream channels I can only theoretically get 4x30 ~120 Mbps.Does anyone know what upstream frequencies comcast use? There isn’t enough bandwidth in the RF split (5-42 MHz) to support 8 channels  so the diplexor config of 5-85 MHz need to be enabled to get full 8 channels. Does comcast need 4 upstream channels with 2x2 MIMO for its 200 Mbps upload speed or does it utilize 4 channels?

How Can We Enable DHCP Server on Our ARRIS SBG7400 SURFboard?

We have received a large number of ARP Cache Poisoning attack notices from our antimalware.  They appear every 1 or 2 seconds. Their support advises that we need to “enable DHCP server on our router,” which is an ARRIS SBG7400 SURFboard.we purchased about 2 years ago. Please respond as soon as possible.  These ongoing notices are disrupting our work.

hi, I have a Sofabaton U2 remote control, and now I have a new tv/internet provider(Ziggo, here in the Netherlands), which provided me the Arris VIP5002W-ZG. (they call it the Ziggo Next Mini)Seems this one is a fully bluetooth controlled device?My tv has an option to pair a bluetooth device, so I managed to do that with my Sofabaton remote control. That works.The VIP5002W-ZG unfortunately has no option to pair a bluetooth device. (It did automatically find my Sony receiver and my Xiaomi TV for volume control for example)  And my Sofabaton remote control has no option to learn bluetooth signals.So what I am looking for, is the(or better all) bluetooth codes for this specific Arris VIP5002W-ZG.Sofabaton do have an Arris VIP5002W in their database, but it's not working for me to control my VIP5002W-ZG.(it's even in their infrared database…...)I read a lot of people with Samsung one remotes, Logitech or other universal programmable remotes have this same issue with the Ziggo Next Mini.So,

SB8200 upload speed capacity

I have been talking to my ISP trying to figure my upload speed issue.  I am on the 1000mbps down and 100mbps up plan. However my upload is stalling at 20 mbps.  I am trying to find out what the upload speed capacity of this modem is. My ISP is xfinity. The lights for down is blue (docsis 3.1) my up is green (docsis 3.0) all other lights are solid green and the modem works great other than my upload speed.  can you tell me if this modem is capable for the 100 mbps upload? Is it because they have not activated 3.1 on the upload channel?

G34 Compatibility with Cable America

I currently have an older Arris model (SGB6580). I recently bought an Arris G34 modem/router. Unfortunately, I did not check with my internet provider to see if the G34 was compatible. I use CableAmerica. They informed me that it is currently in the works for the G34 to be compatible with them, but they were not able to give me a timeline. My question is if there is a known timeline for when the G34 model will be compatible with my provider? I am wanting to know if it is worth holding onto it or just getting a different one.
