Here are the problems:1. Open app2. "Get Started" screen.3. Permissions.4. Select device, ISP cable without Wi-Fi.5. SB8200.6. Xfinity.7. Activate, Skip.8. I'm Online.9. Scan bar code. App shows modem and router.If app is closed or another opened then surfboard app reopened, go back to #2.If add new satellite selected, pressing next does nothing.Restart router button works.Tapping WAN settings closes app then back to #2. create account in surfboard central
Trying to create an account with Surfboard Central when setting up the connection with my network . I put in the email address and enter it takes me to the form where I enter my name and approve Arris to send promotions. No matter if I hit to SIGN ME IN or CREATE AN ACCOUNT I am taken back to the beginning of the form. It never lets me complete the account creation. I have been running Surfboard Manager and will be till I can figure out the problem ANY SUGGESTIONS?
SBG7400AC2 fails Speed Test using SURFboard Central App 4.0.9
Purchased the SBG7400AC2 recently.Out of the box the speed test worked with Spectrum. After configuring it with custom SSID, etc. I now get this error. I am using this on an Android phone. Is there a setting I’ve missed? Can this be configured on the Web UI?http://192.168.0.1/router.htmlFunctionally, the internet speed is working fine with Spectrum and the Modem/Router. I just can’t get a successful test from the app.
Arris VMS1100 - Cannot Clear hard Drive!!!
We just dropped our Frontier FiOS service (was formerly Verizon FiOS) and they told us to do whatever we wanted with the equipment. One of the pieces is an Arris VMS1100 DVR. We don’t mind giving it away *BUT* I would rather clear the hard drive first. Found the manual and was able to get into the BUI (Basic User Interface) and found the manual states to go to 01 Diagnostics and within 5 seconds depress DVR three times and then FiOS TV. We have several remotes and tried several of them. Can get around the menus find but when we select 01 Diagnostics and then do DVR three times and then FiOS TV, it does absolutely nothing. Just sits there on the Diagnostics screen. Is there some trick we’re missing to clear the DVR hard drive?

The app sort of worked up to the security check request to write the scrabbled word. Scrabbled word wasn’t visible. Refreshed, reconnect, try 10 times… same results new G36, freshly downloaded app, nothing… I have a new iPhone, up to date versionthe app seems buggy and I can’t use it.if I click the question mark on that Security check page it saysAccessDeniedAccess DeniedJBZ8EN1RPYS9WVZHbVp7WPQdUvvWZ8u0hWev7PhhBauI have not changed anything on the modem, just got it last night.
why doesnt the surfboard central app work?
The user interface in surfboard central is very confusing. Why does it spout gibberish error messages? Can you change the error codes to more helpful error messages? If I am already connected to the wifi, why can’t it detect that? Your support staff directed me to uninstall the app. What do they know that you don’t? What does the code 0000-1612 mean? This app is junk.
Updating SURFboard Central App to 4.0 Causes Crash
A small percentage of users using older versions of the SURFboard Central app may experience an issue when trying to upgrade to version 4.0 from these older versions. The affected versions are:188.8.131.52.13This is due to a database migration issue between the legacy app and the new version. We are quickly working on a hotfix to address this upgrade issue ASAP. In the meantime, you can recover your SURFboard Central setup with the following procedure:1) Uninstall the app. Do NOT factory reset your connected device; no re-onboarding is required.2) Install the latest version of the app from the Google Play / Apple store.3) Login with your account information that was previously used to setup SURFboard Central.Once logged back in, all of your settings will be recovered.Thank you for using the SURFboard Central app and your participation in the SURFboard Community!
Surfboard Central no longer working Aug 17, 2022
I have been using the app for more than a year. It recently stopped working with my devices and my satellite devices have ceased connection. (I have multiple W31’s using these with a SBG6580 modem). I have reloaded software and reset the devices and modem multiple times.The mobile app will not complete setup of the W31 devices.
error code 0000-1612 on Surfboard Central
Registered new G34 modem/router via Sufboard central. Worked fine. once I change SSID names, default passwords and make other customized network settings, the app no longer sees my device. I deleted the device and attempted to add it again. Went through fine and connected to new SSID. Then on the final step, a vague Error Code 0000-1612. only way to proceed is to factory reset the device which I won’t do again.
