I just purchased g36 and unable to download app. Says does not support my phone

I currently have an SBG7600 wifi modem in my SBC in a second home.I’m trying to set up a G36 in my main home through the app.  When I try to add a device my G36 is not listed as a selection.Can anyone shed some light on this issue?  Thank you

Tried to register modem with internet provider and they said they couldn’t find it in their end and I needed to contact manufacturer. Saturday and can’t get on live chat. Is there anything else we should try on our end so we don’t have to wait for customers support until Monday? 

Trying to install G34 modem.  IPhone 15 ProMax, IOS 18.2. When at the “Grant access permission..”, I cannot find the App under Location settings to allow access.  I find information under location networks but not to allow access.  There is not an icon on my phone.  I cannot get past this page to install the modem.  The light on the modem is “flashing blue”.  When I attempt to scan the code to download Surfboard Central, it opens the APP bet cannot get past ate allow access page to install the modem.   Any help to install the APP would be of help.

My garage is 160 feet away from my Arris G34 modem/Wi-Fi.  I plan to run Cat6 inground cable from the G34 to the garage.  What device would you recommend installing in the garage?

I just bought a surfboard g34 router/wifi gateway because my netgear modem died today after 14 years of faithful service.  RIP I was able to get my surfboard activated with spectrum and my one desktop has internet.  However,  nothing else can get access to the internet through the surfboard.  I was trying to use the app on my phone but it can’t connect to the internet through the router because the wifi network says “connected without internet”.  I tried connecting my extra (home/guest) router to the surfboard via ethernet, and it doesn’t have internet either. But when I try to setup the router further, I open 192.168.0.1 on a browser and it asks for a login.  I haven’t setup my login yet because the app on my phone can’t  complete the setup.  The app cant complete setup because it’s not online through the internet.  Am I taking crazy pills?  Why is only one device able to connect to the internet, and what can I do to complete

How can I tell what the device is from the identification code on the connected device list?

My G34 works properly with no issues but when the interet from my ISP is offline the light does not blink. The first time my ISP had an outage that caused my internet to go offline the blue light blinked until service came back. This past weekend there were outages and the light did not blink at all. Today I removed the coaxial cable to move the modem and the light did not blink. Is it normal for the light to not blink when offline? It is my understanding that it should blink when there is no internet connection. The setting on my front panel is having light on at all times.

I purchased the new G18 Docsis 3.1 Modem/Router Combination 48hrs ago. I downloaded Surboard Central on iphone. Connected brand new shielded Coaxial cable wire tightly with a pair of pliers, plugged in power to unit and ran Ethernet cable correctly. I had my ISP send a tech to my home to ensure my home pathway was clear from THEIR equipment signals. It is. After 27 unplug, plug back in sessions and 14 factory resets I still cannot get out into the internet. I ran 10 brand new Samsung Smart TV diagnostics and all come back saying unable to source internet. An Entire weekend with NO WIFI OR INTERNET!! I took it back to Walmart where I paid for it brand new, with tax almost $200usd I want a refund. This app Surfboard Central you refuse to genuinely make product installation “ plug n play” easy is costing you millions. I'm going to pay the extra $50 and get Netgears product. Then, I'm going to Trash the hell out of Arris on my social media to all my followers with a video to SHOW them t

I have a qnap server that runs wordpress, trying to access the wordpress content via my wan IP address.I have tryed using a port forward and port trigger on the cable modem but can’t get to the wordpress on the server.WAN address is   73.XXXXXwordpress server is 192.168.X.X , with port 80 connected directly to the second ethernet port on arris cable modem 

Unable to connect printer to modem. Asking for WPS button to be pressed. Modem does not have one. I’m in app and see that wps is enabled.

The middle light on my new router modem is not on.  All the other 4 lights are on.  Xfinity tells me they are not getting a power signal.  Help please.

Does the G34 supports the “Next Gen Tier” upload on Xfinity/Comcast? I am thinking of upgrading my plan to a gigabit to take advantage of the higher upload. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, we use a G36 gateway. Is there any way to see the log of website addresses being accessed? I couldn’t find it in the admin portal. The troubleshooting logs don’t seem to contain any web addresses.

After a brief power outage i have no internet. Both lights are green. I have reset the modem and confirmed with Xfinity it's activated and they can see it.

I own a G34 and when I try to connect a device with WPS that device always connects to the 2.4ghz frequency. How do I use the WPS function so that my device connects to the 5ghz wifi not the 2.4ghz.

how do you update this modem, where can you find the update files, because you can't update it inside the surfboard central app , the only reason I'm asking because the upload speed is good and the download speed is bad, we upgrade to 500 with cox, we had 250 before it was fine, sometimes it can disconnect, i had it for a week only.

I have several devices connected to my new g36 modem/router . my windows and generis devices are fine. My multiple ubuntu devices wont stay connected to the internet. My ubuntu devices are my most used devices. If I cant get reliable wifi to those devices this unit is oing back to amazon. Cat 5 connections are great. But wifi with ubuntu devices sucks. If I cant solve this problem by monday 10/29 this unit will be returned. I have no time to waste fixing your software issues. No help so far and you havevbterrible support system. I regret my purchaseT

I recently purchased a G36 with the intention of eliminating Comcast’s rental XB8 modem at $15 per month. Comcast recommended the G36 as a DOCSIS 3.1 cable compatible modem with download speeds up to 4 Gbps. I have 2 Gbps service from Comcast. I did the install of the G36 and I’m only getting 1.2 Gbps maximum wired out of this modem despite Comcast showing 2 Gbps coming out of their coax cable.I spoke to Arris Tech Support who have been very helpful and they told me my modem was not commissioned correctly by Comcast. Comcast field tech is trying to tell me that my Surfboard G36 is correctly commissioned for 2 Gbps. How can I prove to Comcast that the G36 hasn’t been commissioned correctly?  

Change xfinity network name and password

I upgraded my Comcast / Xfinity speed to 1000 GBPS but my speed test only shows up to 313MBPS. I tried and got the same result when tethered on WAN and on WIFI  I’ve tried restarting the modem and router both from Xfinity’s app and power cycling the modem / router. Still no change. I called Comcast/Xfinity and they said I need to lease their latest router / modem for $15/month. Is there no other way to get close to the 1 GBPS speed that I paid for?

Replaced my router with another surfboard C 34. I think it finds it every time I try to log into it. It says failed. I have unplugged it. I have reset the router I have added seven other devices. I can’t get the printer on there.

I have the arris g54 model and the internet keeps cutting out.  I will have connection then will lose connection, then it will come back.  Solid blue light, then blinking green, then solid blue.  I've reset the modem numerous times, contacted xfinity and nothing works.

We bought this modem about two years ago. In June 2023 (about ten months after we bought it) the problem started. We would lose connection and then it would slowly come back. Since it was in warranty, I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement. While I waited for the replacement to come, I borrowed an old Motorola modem from a friend. It worked fine, so I didn’t bother using the replacement Arris.We moved some things around this past weekend so I figured I’d put the replacement Arris into use. It (the fresh out of the box Arris) seems to be having the same issue as the one it replaced. This makes me think it was probably not a mechanical error.I took a video of the lights on the modem so that I could describe it in this forum. When the modem's working properly, there are five lights lit, but the second from the bottom, which I think is for the WiFi, flickers repeatedly. I bought a refurbished G34 modem on Amazon in February this year and had been awesome untill a week ago or so it will flash orange then green then blue then green and then solid blue and it was just once a day for a couple of days then several times a day for about 2 days and now for the past few days it does that's about 2 to 3 times an hour every few hours or so and wifi and anything with a lan cable in it will not have Internet during that process any advice or help would be much appreciated I'm assuming I need a new modem but thought I would try this first
