The G34 modem has lost mimu function after firmware update

ARRIS SURFboard SBG8300My modem is not powering on when plugged in. No lights come on. Other devices plugged into the same outlet are working properly. I tried removing and replacing the power supply several times. I have tried another outlet with no success.

the issue here is that the router's Ethernet and WiFi addresses can't communicate with each other, which is why the NAS and the WiFi currently can't connect, I need the router to figure out how to get the WiFi and Ethernet subnets to talk to each other, whether that's setting them on the same subnet altogether, or enabling some sort of bridge, etc. How to do this??

I have a web app Talktone to make phone calls using WIFI. It was working fine, but all of a sudden it states that it is being blocked by the firewall that I never did anything. I was using the SBG6900 DOCSIS 3.0 I ended up buying the SBG8300 DOCSIS 3.1 and the same issues. Spectrum told me that they changed to a new version because of speed. Can anyone explain/help. Tried to activate my ARRIS G36 with Xfinity but they said my modem was refurbished and that it was still registered to another user. I purchased it at Best Buy and thought it was new. What do I do?

Hi everyone, I am looking to access and adjust the advanced settings on my Surfboard modem but can’t find the options I need. Could someone guide me on how to access these settings? I want to know regarding Change the Wi-Fi channel , Adjust QoS settings and enable/disable guest networks I have already logged into the modem’s admin page; but I am not sure where to find these options. I have checked Surfboard Modem User Guide and splunk documentation for reference . Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!😊

I received an alert email from my ISP flagging a potential security issue. I called to get more information, but they told me that they wouldn’t be able to provide any more info on the source of the alert or any IPs associated with it because I’m not using their special equipment. Instead, they directed me to contact my router provider, stating that they would be ale to access my router and see more information on the event. It sounded like BS to me, but is this true? I have an Arris G34. The logs on the router itself aren’t too helpful. The only strange thing is a number of entries starting about two days before the security email arrived: IGD: config.utapi s_add_portmapdyn: add entry (index 1): add/overwrite entry param portmap_dyn_1 value:enabled,none,43431,192.168.0.***,7070,tcp,165600,1721088246,AnyDesk There are 66 of these entries in total, with three occurring almost exactly at the 4th minute of every hour, for 22 hours. How can I get my Latency down? I’m on a Xbox One S. With an Acers monitor 240hz 0.5 ms 1440 HD. SBG8300 is my model. I have Xfinity there best package. Speeds are great. But that Latency?

Will the surfboard app give me option to recognize new arris modem router? Don’t see option on app.

I just bought the arris surfboard g36 for my home, when I first hooked it up I was getting 164 plus upload speed and 164 plus download speed, now I'm down to 5 and under upload and under 3 download speed I contacted my wifi provider and they ran a bunch of test and it's nothing on the providers end I have no clue what to do.

My 1 year old sbg7600 loses internet 5-6 times per day for 20+ minutes a time. I cannot find any support for this product that is still in warranty. This is the third Arris system that has failed in under 2 years. Unbelievable lack of quality from such a big brand. I'm surprised Best Buy still carries it.

My arris g36 won't turn on

Yesterday, suddenly my internet connection was disconnected. I checked with Xfinity. They confirmed there is no outage in my area. I tried power cycling as per Xfinity’s support instructions, I tried factory reset but it not resetting. The light is solid amber (indicating) power, but it does not cycle through any other color. I have scheduled Xfinity technician to visit tomorrow. There is a latest thread on this community which indicates that there is problem with G36 and Xfinity. Arris is going to take longer time to fix it. I own this modem; I have not rented it from Xfinity. My modem is under warranty till 2025. I bought this expensive modem based on recommended list by Xfinity. What are my options now? Will Arris replace my modem? Or I will be left hanging and has to buy another modem (preferably not Arris) as not having internet connection is not an option.

My internet has bad latency issues. I have the G36 in just Modem mode. I have an Orbi router and satellite along with a Tether in the garage to try and boost the range. It skips when the kids plays games on the XBox and phones drop or lose connection when link to the home WiFi. I am not tech savvy. I have narrowed it down to Cox internet or the Arris. I am hardwired to arris for the upstairs Xbox but there is till latency issues. It is a problem. The boosters are on in green. I have reset everything. It works for about 15 minutes when a device connects then it has the same issues

Hello. My DOCSIS 3.1 Wi-Fi Cable Modem, keeps dropping connection randomly. I just bought it yesterday. The modem is a G34, AX3000 WiFi 6 (up to 4Gbps Download Speeds). I tried contacting Live Chat Support so that I could send the Error Log to resolve this issue, but I don’t know where to click.

I bought an ATM Machine unable to connect internet direct to modem. Error code TCP/IP Connection timeout. My 3 other devices work perfectly on the SBG8300. Please help.

Is there something technically wrong with router? ISP said usage in last 14 days is 1.2TB+ . Prior to new SBG 8300 install, our monthly usage was <1.0TB. Nothing has changed except the install of new router

my sbg10 wont factory reset to default settings, i need to do this so i can connect to my new internet. i tried doing the 30 second reset where u hold down the reset button, that didnt work, tried the 30-30-30 reset that didnt work, i logged into the web manager and press the factory default button, all of these dont factory reset it, it just resets like normal, ive tried everything.
