hi so i just recently changed my router to a arris g36 and my synology media server seems to not be able to show on my network and i cant seem to find any settings to allow it through i also have tried with my wd cloud and nothing

I have a domain that is set up to the router WAN. That appears to work from outside the LAN. But from inside the LAN I cannot access my service (webpage running on Linux) unless I use the IP address directly. I tried to create a Manual DNS Entry, and the router says it accepted the entry, and then I reset the DNS cache on my internal PC, and when I then run tracert it still returns the WAN address, and cannot access the webpage. What am I doing wrong?

Now that my G36 Arris Modem has been rendered useless by Xfinity’s recent upgrade to 10G in my area i would like to return this modem that does not work and get a refund. I can not find a place on the SurfBoard website that lets you initiate a return process. Could someon please provide a link to initiate an RMA and/or a number that i can call?

NordVPN doesn’t give an error, it just simply won’t connect at all while on the wifi with the sbg8300 router. any ideas on how to troubleshoot what the error is exactly? I have gotten this with nordvpn on some other wifi networks as well, particularly some airport wifis, etc, but most of the time it just connects. In addition, every time I try to connect a Ring device, it says to “check internet connection”, even on the 2.4ghz network. Any idea how to get that to work? SIP has been disabled already

How do I update my firmware? I have Xfinity and my latest driver version is 3.0.2.201.

model 3270a has been reset 2 times and I cannot access the modem. I cannot set wifi with the code provided, Right now I am frustrated and at a loss of what to do.

I see from the online community that to change wifi name and pw you log into an UNSECURE site in your browser 192.168.0.1. Even with the ethernet cable my network and computer are like no way, not secure, people can get your pw, credit card numbers etc. WHY??? Is this seriously the only way this company has allowed this to be changed?

Hello, I recently got a G34 for our new router/modem with Xfinity. I’m posting here as ever since we got the G34, our Xbox One has virtually never been able to connect to the internet properly. It will connect to the network and say all services available, but it will never successfully download any online content/updates/etc. and games that require internet won’t start. It says NAT type is “Moderate” and I know it should be “open” to work properly, but I’ve tried common methods to fix the NAT type to no avail. UPnP is “on” in the router settings, and I’ve tried all manner of restart this, power cycle that, etc. I’ve even tried to mess with manual port selection in the console settings. This never happened with the Arris router/modem we had prior to this model. Forgetting the network and reconnecting worked *one* time to get open NAT, but since that one occurrence the issue returned. I’ve tried it on the 5ghz and 2.4 ghz networks. Forgetting the network hasn’t worked again since then.

Recently got a SBG69 series cable modem after the one supplied by my ISP, Spectrum, died. It worked fine the first few months, but now seems to be going offline with the firmware update light blinking every morning, and at other inopportune times of day. Is this a Spectrum thing (maybe they don’t like me not renting a modem from them anymore?) or a modem fix? Plz help - my phone bill from using my wi-fi hot spot is gonna be astronomical...

I have an Arris Surfboard G36. I have it set up and the Internet is working fine...no problems with setting it up. What I'm having trouble with is setting up my printer on the router/wifi. The message I get is MAC address filtering is enabled on my wireless router. I get a 2 solutions: 1) I should disable the MAC filtering to my router but I don't know how to disable it. 2) if I keep MAC address enabled, I must first add the MAC address of my printer to the list of permitted devices on my router before continuing to set up my printer wireless. I have the MAC address from my printer but I don't know how to add it to the list of permitted devices on my router. So I don't know how to do either of the solutions....any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

My new G36 literally will not broadcast a signal (2.4G or 5G) across the room. I can only get a wifi signal on a device if I am standing next to the router.

Have the SBG10 and downloaded the new surfboard app and the SBG10 is good but keep getting error code 0015-1805 in the app reset to factory and reinstalled the app same thing what is the solution

I do not see Verizon listed among the compatible ISPs of the Surfboard product line. Is there compatibility? What modem/router combos do you have that are compatible with Verizon.

I factory reset my device twice because the admin login is locked out. It's still locked out and I can't get in. I need to turn off sip alg for work purposes but can't access my configuration. Does the lockout expire after a set time?

Can someone help me as my old iPad will not connect to this new Wi-Fi cable modem.I am dumb with technology, but was able to get my computer, phone, and Roku TV connected to the network, but not my old iPad. Thanks.

I can't access the device info and setting through the surfboard manager while hooked to the ethernet ports with my laptop. The mobile credentials don't work. Do I need to change interface status when using a ethernet cable instead of coax cable?

Hi Everyone, I have 800 mbs Xfinity internet, a G36 connected into the eero mesh. It has never really worked well and I have read about eero and g36 issues. I am trying to login to the router to change the settings over to bridge mode, however, the credentials the app displays dont actually work on the web login. Is there any way to avoid the factory reset? And If i factory reset do I need to call Xfinity again or will that part still work? Lastly, will bridge mode even help haha?

I can connect my computer and phones however I cannot connect my printer. What do I need to do?

whatsapp calling (and a select few other apps) works on any other router on my network, but not my sbg8300. How do you change the settings on the sbg8300 to allow for whatsapp calling to work? can connect to whatsapp and send messages, just not the calling feature. Also NordVPN does not work on this router - how can this be allowed?

I have cox for internet provider. We have had signal drops by the dozen and they recommended we replace our modem and router which i did with the G36. Still no luck. Cox sent out a tech who found a problem with their feeder line. Today they replaced that cable.and tried the reset No connection. I have unplugged and plugged the G36 and tried the reset switch multiple times. I get a green flashing light that changes to a blue flashing light. Never goes solid. Cox does a reboot from their end and it is unsuccessful. Modem is not connecting to their network. Have double and triple checked the SN and the Mac address and all seems good. I am at a total loss as to what to do next. .
