I have about a 5 year old SB6190. Downstream light is bright blue, but my upstream light is either white or out. I contacted my provider and everything shows fine on their end….download of 500 MBPS and upload of 25 MBPS. Is it possible my upload LED has burnt out. I rebooted it and the green LED is flashing as it powers back up, but the download light goes to Blue and the Upload light appears white when it is back on line. Is my modem going?

Mediacom is my ISP and they are doing an upgrade to their system that will disable all DOCSIS 3.0 modems.  They now only list 2 modems as compatible with their service - Netgear CM2500 and CM3000.  They seem to be promoting mid/high split technology.  I would like to buy a Surfboard SB8200.  My questions are: Will the SB8200 work with Mediacom? Does Arris sell any modems that are mid/high split capable?

Four plus hours today and two yesterday trying to register my Arris SB8200V3 cable modem with Optimum. Optimum tech says it’s the modem. Arris tech says it’s the ISP. After trying two new Arris modems with Optimum I’ve had enough. Bought a Netgear and will see if that works. Pretty soured with Arris. Maybe something simple but if it doesn’t work is doesn’t work. ☹️

SB8200 not working & under warranty, how do I get a replacement.LED lights not coming on at all, even after unplugging and re-replugging. Contacted Internet service provider and they said I needed a new modem..Please let me know how I can obtain a replacement as it is still under two year warranty? thank you- Monet M  

Around 7am in the morning I have had a issue where all of a sudden some websites where blocked I cant even run a VPN my ISP says they have no idea when I contacted customer service and everything shows fine on there side , Anyone know what could be causing this the same sites are blocked on multiple devices

I’ve had an Ooma Telo VOIP router for making phone calls for over a decade.  Recently my Ooma Telo started acting up, requiring frequent reboots to get my phone system to work. In response I ordered a new Ooma Telo but was unable to get it to work with my Arris 8200. After three hours of phone calls to the technical support folks at Ooma, I was sent the following instructions:“Please also check and make sure that the firewall on your modem and/or router have been disabled. Ooma uses the following application ports for outbound data and voice traffic:UDP and TCP So you need to make sure those service ports are open on your internet connection”Has anyone else encountered this difficulty? My first thought was that the new Ooma Telo might be defective.

I have my device all set up and I double checked with my service provider that the Internet would connect to the modem. As far as my service provider goes, I have an access to the Internet from their end. They said the Internet is activated and everything should be fine. However, I still can’t connect to the Internet and my lights on the modem are flashing blue. I set up the device using the mobile app and everything should be working yet. It is not. I tried calling customer service, but they’re only available during the weekday. At the bottom of the instructions for installation, it says that I need to use an ethernet cable and connect it to a computer. My computer does not have that capabilities nor do I have a gaming system that would allow me to do that. How do I get my Internet to work after I’ve paid for this $50 device? 

I have an S33v2 surfboard and it just suddenly stopped working yesterday. Comcast says the connection to the house is fine. 

I have an SB8200 used to Link to COX.The modem keeps dropping out and has to reconnect.  Called Cox, they think the modem is bad (the associate didn’t seem to have a full handle on the situation).  Question is the Event logs show the following when it drops out:Do these events indicate a problem with COX or the Modem?Thanks,  15/11/2024 10:33:11 3 Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 time out;CM-MAC={edit:personal information};CMTS-MAC={edit:personal information};CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;

I would like to return Order #60405. It’s a SURFboard S34 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem. 

No matter what i try with the correct name and password it says session expired and i cant login with chrome firefox or edge to access my modem and change passwords etc etc

I have a model sb6141. I was late paying xfinity and lost internet. My bill is now current and they are saying my internet is fast and everything looks good on their side. But the icon at the bottom is blinking red. I've power cycled several times. I'm at a loss. 

Hello: I did my best to set up my new modem, and it works, kinda’.However, while I set passwords for WiFi 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz, they are not accepted. To link TV (Roku) and other “peripherals, it can only be done with the login data for the Web Manager. I have no idea what I may have done to cause this, but would be most grateful for help in correcting the  issue. Thanks, Hans L

My SB6190 modem, the receive/downstream light (2nd light) is flashing green and not connecting to the internet. Xfinity says nothing is wrong on their end. Scheduled to have a technician come out but the earliest is in 4 days. Hoping to fix the issue before then. I can’t log into the web manager access page. My device is past warranty.

Just looking for a way to fix a boot file corruption. Recently on chat with Xfinity customer service reinformed me that the s33s boot file was corrupted. Yeah it hasn't been corrupted but they gave me a service tuer upgrade and somehow it corrupted and not just stuckPersonally I think it's an ISP issue causing the boot file corruption. 

Network ARRIS site 192.168.0.1 ERROR- won't pull up. -I’ve tried numerous browsers, rebooted, also tried 192.168.0.1.1 - won’t connect. I need to update settings- Please help! My router model #: W31- //Modem model: S33v2. 

I have bought the arris sb6183. I noticed the box does not come with a password for it. Will I be able to access the internet with this if I connect it to wall with coaxial cable plug in power and connect Ethernet to computer and typing in the code starting with 192. or is this setup incomplete?

My PC isn't receiving an internet connection from my surfboard modem. I talked to Xfinity and there's no issues on their side. All the lights are the colors they are supposed to be. (Green blue blue green) but I'm getting no internet through the ethernet cable. I've tried several cables as well and it hasn't helped. Everything is plugged in correctly as well. I've tried resetting the PC numerous times and the modem as well. I've tried turning my firewall off and that doesn't work either. I can't think of anything else I can possibly do. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have my set-up with Arris (my old unit), Netgear WiFi 7 Router and Ooma Phone.  I need to upgrade my Internet Modem to allow for the Ooma Phone, which is hooked up to my Netgear.  Which Arris Modem would work for my set-up?

I have Xfinity internet using my own S33 modem and a 6g router.  My wife has concerns about emf and wants to turn off the wireless router at night.  I am up way before her and need to have internet access as I often work from home.  I want to be able to use a hardwired connection to my home office computer while the wireless router is turned off.  I thought I could use the second (bottom) modem port, but apparently cannot.  I tried simply unplugging the router from modem and plugging the ethernet cable into that modem port, but it doesn’t work either.  What is the best way to do this?

Can I use a Coaxial modem as a cable free modem?

Help setting up ARRIS SB6190

After moving to a new location (moved to an older house as opposed to being in an apartment), SB8200 can’t establish a downstream connection. Getting errors very similar (almost exact same status message) to the ones in the following post:I also am getting multiple instances of “UCD invalid or channel unusable” and “No ranging response received.” Modem has worked for 2 years and has only started failing after the move. Checked and the warranty has expired in March of this year. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Thanks!
