Hello: I did my best to set up my new modem, and it works, kinda’.However, while I set passwords for WiFi 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz, they are not accepted. To link TV (Roku) and other “peripherals, it can only be done with the login data for the Web Manager. I have no idea what I may have done to cause this, but would be most grateful for help in correcting the  issue. Thanks, Hans L

My SB6190 modem, the receive/downstream light (2nd light) is flashing green and not connecting to the internet. Xfinity says nothing is wrong on their end. Scheduled to have a technician come out but the earliest is in 4 days. Hoping to fix the issue before then. I can’t log into the web manager access page. My device is past warranty.

Just looking for a way to fix a boot file corruption. Recently on chat with Xfinity customer service reinformed me that the s33s boot file was corrupted. Yeah it hasn't been corrupted but they gave me a service tuer upgrade and somehow it corrupted and not just stuckPersonally I think it's an ISP issue causing the boot file corruption. 

Network ARRIS site 192.168.0.1 ERROR- won't pull up. -I’ve tried numerous browsers, rebooted, also tried 192.168.0.1.1 - won’t connect. I need to update settings- Please help! My router model #: W31- //Modem model: S33v2. 

I have bought the arris sb6183. I noticed the box does not come with a password for it. Will I be able to access the internet with this if I connect it to wall with coaxial cable plug in power and connect Ethernet to computer and typing in the code starting with 192. or is this setup incomplete?

My PC isn't receiving an internet connection from my surfboard modem. I talked to Xfinity and there's no issues on their side. All the lights are the colors they are supposed to be. (Green blue blue green) but I'm getting no internet through the ethernet cable. I've tried several cables as well and it hasn't helped. Everything is plugged in correctly as well. I've tried resetting the PC numerous times and the modem as well. I've tried turning my firewall off and that doesn't work either. I can't think of anything else I can possibly do. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have my set-up with Arris (my old unit), Netgear WiFi 7 Router and Ooma Phone.  I need to upgrade my Internet Modem to allow for the Ooma Phone, which is hooked up to my Netgear.  Which Arris Modem would work for my set-up?

I have Xfinity internet using my own S33 modem and a 6g router.  My wife has concerns about emf and wants to turn off the wireless router at night.  I am up way before her and need to have internet access as I often work from home.  I want to be able to use a hardwired connection to my home office computer while the wireless router is turned off.  I thought I could use the second (bottom) modem port, but apparently cannot.  I tried simply unplugging the router from modem and plugging the ethernet cable into that modem port, but it doesn’t work either.  What is the best way to do this?

Can I use a Coaxial modem as a cable free modem?

Help setting up ARRIS SB6190

After moving to a new location (moved to an older house as opposed to being in an apartment), SB8200 can’t establish a downstream connection. Getting errors very similar (almost exact same status message) to the ones in the following post:I also am getting multiple instances of “UCD invalid or channel unusable” and “No ranging response received.” Modem has worked for 2 years and has only started failing after the move. Checked and the warranty has expired in March of this year. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Before I go into detail, I want to proactively thank  this community for the help you can provide us.  Thanks!!  Our Wi-Fi account is no longer available on our house system. Our WiFi provider did several tests/checks and said their signal to us was good. They referred us to Arris because we bought an Arris SB8200 modem and router which has worked fine so far. It sounds like we need help setting up a new account through your modem. I have no idea how to do that. 

Just received my Arris Surfboard S34. Contacted Xfinity and have it activatedI have an ethernet cable connected from the modem to my computer.I cannot access: 192.168.100.1It reads: “Safari can’t open the page “192.168.100.1” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding. 

I have Spectrum 400MB plan.  Can I use either S33 or S34 modems?   Particularly attaching to company VPN.  I've been told that my connection has a lot of Jitter.  Will either of these devices help that?

I have bought a new modem SB8200 and router Tp Link Archer AXE75 for few months.On Saturday October 26, 2024, my wifi stopped connecting to Internet. I followed this site instructions https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1556/. I removed the power cable and coaxial cable from SB8200 modem, then waited for 1 minutes. I turned on the SB8200 modem and waited to for it to startup. After it booted up, I plugged in the coaxial cable and my wifi stopped giving “connected without internet” and everything was fine. But this happened on Sunday the next day, I redid the steps on I took on Saturday. And today, on Monday, I just unplugged the power cable from SB8200 modem and the wifi started working. I think my router is working fine because I don't have to restart it. But I really don't know which of the two, modem or

My modem is under warranty and is no longer reliable. How do I get a replacement? Patricia N 

Just want to confirm if the unit I got has busted ethernet ports. The front indicator lights on my modem and my ISP show connection is fine. However the lights by the ethernet ports don't seem to go on except when the device is first turning on. My router is showing no connection to the modem and tried the same with laptop with different cables and got the same thing. I assume the lights on the back by the ports should go on if the ethernet port(s) are working. Is that correct? Also I'm only using one port at a time.

Hi,I am having an issue with the modem where all lights are solid blue but the modem is not working.There is obviously no internet. However, even when I plug in ethernet to my computer, it does not even get detected as connected. I know its not the ethernet cable or computer because I plugged the same computer with the same cable into another modem and it detected it fine.  I tried restarted it (plugging it out, leaving it 10 mins and replugging it) and it immediately goes to the solid lights, no blinks or anything else. I tried pressing in the reset button for 4-5 seconds, nothing. Then again I restarted and I tried holding reset button for 10 seconds, nothing. Then I  again restarted and tried holding reset button for 30 seconds nothing. It’s as if its stuck. Like I said it doesn’t even get detected as plugged in into my computer so I cannot even use command prompt to diagnose it. The issue seems similar to

I can't seem to use 2 devices with this modem s33.  On second device it asks for Ip address, prefix length, then gateway address.  Xfinity says they don't have it. Does anyone know how I can get the gateway address? Or do I have to wait until Monday morning to contact arris cs.

Hi Everyone,I have a couple of years-old Netgear router and a modem supplied by Comcast. I also have a teenage son who just can’t seem to learn when enough online gaming is enough. He connects directly to the modem via a CAT cable to avoid Wi-Fi lag, which means the options in the Netgear app for shutting off access don't apply since they only control the router.Aside from physically unplugging the modem, I’m looking for a way to remotely disable his access via the CAT cable, or I’m open to getting a new modem that allows for this. Ideally, I’d like a solution that lets me control it from the comfort of my bed. It’s been a long battle, and I’m tired of trying to instill personal responsibility—I'm looking for a switch solution. Any suggestions, especially regarding managing IP addresses and router settings?

Upgraded SB6190 to SB8200v3 at professional office. Office has static IP from Optimum. 8200 is registered with Optimum. 8200 will not connect. Keeps going thru the boot process. Put the 6190 back in service, which is not registered at this point, and it connected within 2 minutes. Recently did same upgrade at my residence, 6190 to 8200v2. Called Optimum, registered the 8200v2 and online within a few minutes. 

Purchased a new modem and mesh router today but can’t log in to the sb8200 to get the settings.  Continually get a time out error.  Internet is working fine when connected to ethernet
