My internet stopped working and when I went to reset my modem I noticed something odd, the lights aren’t going off.   Now of course when I unplug it they go off but when I plug it back in they immediately turn fully back on. i tried resetting it with what I think is the reset button on the back (there is a hole but it’s not labeled) and also tried the IP for internet reset but it’s not coming up. 

Very strange.Can NOT log laptops, ipad or either phone into internet. connects to router but will not get an internet connection. I don't have warranty on my modem. The model number that I have is SBG6700-AC. I've had it for a few years. In the past, I've always used this IP address http://192.168.0.1 and was able to login into the router using admin and password to go in and change the SSID along with the password. For some reason whenever I attempt to log in with that IP address on my laptop or smartphone, I get the message: This site can’t be reached192.168.0.1 took too long to respond.Try:Checking the connectionChecking the proxy and the firewallRunning Windows Network DiagnosticsERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OI really want to change the SSID along with the password. Is there another way I can change the SSID and password?

Hey there, Community, I own the ARRIS (SB8200) - Cable Modem - Fast DOCSIS 3.1 , Approved for Comcast Xfinity, Cox, Charter Spectrum, & more | 1 Gbps Max Internet Speed, 4 OFDM Channels I bought the ( 2x pack ) of  ARRIS SURFboard mAX W121 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System, AX6600 Speeds up to 6.6 Gbps, Coverage up to 5,500 sq ft  The speeds for wifi have been MUCH better than they were before. We have 3 gamers trying to vy for the wifi so I'd like to drop that to 2 by adding a Moc adapter to my room so I wouldn't need the wifi while gaming. I got a ( 2x ) starter kit of the ScreenBeam Bonded MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter for Highest Speed Internet, Ethernet Over Coax - Starter Kit (Model: ECB7250K02) hoping to be able to plug my PC in that way and take advantage of the ethernet speeds but on the other side of the house from where the router is. However when I connect everything as instructed I can't connect via etherne

Internet randomly went out and my S33 modem would do one white blink then turn orange and blink slowly and kept repeating the cycle. I tried a to restart it and even plugged it into a different outlet. Making a squeaky noise as well. Contacted xfinity and they are stating it’s the modem. Any help would be great. Also warranty is for another year. Now it’s just staying the color white.

I don’t have a computer that can connect to the modem via ethernet and I need to create a new network name and password since the modem is connected to the ISP provider

New SB8200 is not receiving internet. Cable provider says they have done what is required on their end. I have restarted and hard booted. The internet light blinks for a bit then stops. What is my next option? 

Instructions say to locate the SSID and Password on the device label. There is no sub no label. How do I complete this step? 

SB8200 keeps dropping internet blue light goes out all lights are green no internet I have had isp provider out 3 time tech says it’s the modem

I just purchased a new modem I thought was a 2 in 1 modem router. It's an SB6190 I see I'm connected directly. I don't see a router name to connect wireless. That & with the direct connection I'm on a nat type 1. I need a nat type 2 to play games online. Anyone know how to get to a type 2 signal ? What happened to the days when we bought a product & could actually talk to someone to get everything set up properly within the first 24hr? 

Have a surfboard SB6190 that seems to be dropping the incoming Spectrum signal between it and my tp-link wireless router. Talked to Spectrum, they swear their incoming signal is steady and not dropping. Firmware on the router is up to date.  Any suggestions on how to remedy this situation? Thank you. 

Hi,  i have a surfboard SB8200 modem. Just today, it started to behave funny, would drop internet connections frequently. I checked with Comcast, everything is fine in my area. Upon rebooting modem (unplug the power cord), I would get Internet for 10 mins before it goes out again.  logging into the arris status page, I see Upstream bonded channels sometimes doesn’t existing and there’s only one downstream bonded channel too, which doesn’t seem right at all considering I have 300mbps service with Comcast.  I already checked the warranty status and luckily I’m in warranty. The SN is 21T5J1699603171. Can you progress an RMA replacement for me asap as Internet is down for my whole house. 

I have had my internet and Arris installed for a grand total of 7 days and I am infuriated. The router reboots randomly. Had Xfinity out, they say Arris is not great and it's not their signals. When it comes back up, it is so slow. I ran a speed test, it didn't complete the test. I see a red error message from Ookla. "UPLOAD TEST ERROR" A socket error  occurred during the upload test. A firewall could be blocking the connection or the server might be having issues." I am not a network tech and have no idea where/how to start finding network logs, etc.  

Greetings,In the past few days my S33 modem, which until now has performed perfectly well, has suddenly stopped connecting to Sparklight’s cable network. After investigating the interface, I learned that it was stuck at “acquiring downstream channel,” and after calling Sparklight learned that it had suddenly dropped off their network and as far as they could tell everything on their end was working fine. I’ve attempted several restarts and two factory resets, which have done nothing, and am not sure what to do next. I wanted to call or chat with Arris technical support, since this modem is in warranty until December 28th 2025, but the live chat option on their support webpage only says that it’s working without any interface for actually connecting to chat (in Firefox, Safari, or Chrome), and the call section doesn’t actually list any phone numbers to call. So I can’t do that, either. Does anyone have any suggestions for further troub

What does it mean if all four lights are green while rebooting but the two middle ones turn blue and power and glove button go white?  I am not getting internet but isp says signal is just fine.  Also Ethernet  port is flashing yellow on back or modem and router.  Have already tried new Ethernet and resetting router and modem

Zito Media (my ISP) sent out a tech because how how frequently the internet has been dropping out. But even after running a new line into the house the problem prevails. They told me it’s a problem with the modem. I have only had this modem for 9 months but it was refurbished and now just barely out of warranty of course. Is there any fix or can I get any sort of credit/discount on a replacement modem?

I have spoken with two customer support folks from Cox trying to activate the S34. They both have told me it is not on their compatible devices list.  I chatted with a Arris customer service agent who said that it is compatible and to use model “RARS34” but this did not help.  Buyer beware.

I have an SB8200 and pay for 1 Gig download from Xfinity.. I get a lot less than that and when I speak with Xfinity they just say its a modem issue with the SB8200. Everything looks fine with the modem. Downstream Bonded Channels are all within range - the Upstream Bonded Channels are a little low but not huge. How do I run a diagnostic test on the SB8200. This is the second SB82000 in 4 years and I don’t want to buy a third if they don’t last much beyond the warranty. Having said that, I don’t trust Xfinity 

Hello.  I have a Surfboard router and just downloaded the app and want to make sure I have an account set up and have visibility into this device on my app.   

Our Surfboard S33v2 has a solid white light with buzzing and no connections I've done the following steps:1. Power cycle2. Disconnect the RG6 coax cable3.  Have tried to connect to the GUI web portal when directly connected with a rj45 patch cable.4. Reset button and repeated previous steps  

How do you change the upstream Diplex to mid-split. According to specs it is configurable.

I have a new S34 modem that I received from Amazon. I activated it on August 29th and have been using it since then. I had a disconnection just a little while ago (it did come back online right away after a manual restart) and I noticed that the exhaust from the top of the modem feels hot. I measured it with an IR thermometer and it is reading between 120F and 130F (49C to 54C). My room is 75F (24C).Are these temperatures normal for the S34?  

I switched my internet provider from Xfinity to Astound and my Arris cable modem S33 still shows Xfinity as my service provider
