Where do I find the pass phrase on my modem

The hard wired and the wifi wired lights do not work stay on at the same time.. 

For the last few weeks, I have noticed my Arris S33 Cable modem has been dropping the DOCSIS 3.1 connection (solid blue LED) to XFINITY GB service and reconnects at DOCSIS 3.0 (Solid green LED). It’s still pretty fast but I take exception to XFINITY providing LESS service for more $, Is anyone else experiencing this DOCSIS 3.1 drop with Xfinity?BTW, I’m in Tucson, AZ

I have a SB 6190 modem and am experiencing slow Internet speeds. How do I know if I have a bad modem or how can I fix my speed issue in the recent past I experienced three and 400 meg download speed now I’m lucky to get 20.

Arris Surfboard(s) not workingBeen using an Arris Surfboard S33 for a few months now and have had no issues until today.    Came home from work and suddenly it seems like it’s bricked or something.    All three LED (green, blue, amber) indicator lights are lit up, leaving a yellow-ish solid light that never changes or blinks. It’s completely unresponsive and I am unable to connect to the internet.    The lower Ethernet port on the back has lights on while the top one does not. Plugging the Ethernet to the router into either one does nothing and neither does hardwiring my PC into either one.    I know the pics shows the coax unplugged, but that was just to capture the lights easier.  Using a pin to reset the modem does nothing. Tried for 10/20/30sec and no dice.  Title is plural because I went out and bought a second one thinking the original one was just faulty, but upon giving it power, it does the same exact thing.  

Breezeline told me to update the firmware for my SB6121 modem.  I cannot find any source for it on here or anywhere.  Any ideas?

I'm adding a second smart TV . Is my existing ipc1100 used for the old TV ok to use?

I have owned this Ariss SB8200 for several years. No problems. SP is Optonline. No problems. A few months ago, I received an upgrade from my basic service speed of 100mbps to 500mbps. No extra charge. Long story not worth going into. I am just starting to concentrate on solving this problem as I haven’t needed the speed.My problem is that I keep reverting to my 100mbps speed. I have done all the regular checks and tried different cables and connected directly to the modem. The issue always comes back to the fact that after several hours or days I suddenly find my speed back to the old 100mbps. Rebooting both modem and router in the proper sequence always gives me the full 500mbps for a finite time, then it reverts to 100mbps. The same when connected directly to the modem with the computer. The time it takes to revert is never the same.Is there something I should do to the modem to solve this?Thanks for any help.Regards,Dmin11

Arris customer support is joke!!! No phone number to call. Chat is not available. I have a modem that is under warranty and no one to help me. 

Everyday for the past 4 days around the same time our modem loses connection for a couple hours and has the blinking green light. I’ll attach a picture of the modem page and what it’s telling me. Our ISP is Comcast if that matters. Haven’t had any before this.  

My old modem and router were both functional (slow and outdated) before purchasing and installing the new Sb8200.  Now I spent a few hours online with my internet provider and still have no internet with the sb8200.  My internet provider tried everything they could to get it to function, now they tell me I’ll have to have a tech look at it and if the problem is on my end there will be charges.  It’s obviously on my end, everything was fine (slow but functional) before I installed the sb8200.  What else can I try to make it work?

Could Surfboard PLEASE update their iPhone App to allow me to register a second S33 modem (installed at a different physical address and network)?  Right now there is only a very kludgy way to do this (second iPhone, second email address)

On both xFinity’s website cable modems section and CableLabs approved modems list is the S34. CableLabs shows a CQ date of 2024. Does Arris have a timeline for release of this modem? If so, I’d prefer to stay with the brand instead of upgrade to a competitor.    

My SB8200 and SB6183 only get one upstream locked channel at 35.6Mhz. I see many posters have 4 locked upstream channels. How have other folks resolved this issue? Channel ID Lock Status US Channel Type Frequency Width Power 4 Locked SC-QAM 35600000 Hz 6400000 38.3 dBmV  Also the SB8200 on power-cycle takes 18 minutes to lock the upstream channel. The upstream channel tests 16.4, 22.8, 29.2 at different send power levels, till it reaches 35.6 and acquires lock. Has anybody else faced this problem.Power cycle timestamps are mm:ss.

My S33 starts out getting 550mbps then drops to 30mbps within 60 seconds.  Switched to a hard line to no effect.  Repeatable issue.

Having issues with timeout for Unicast Maintenace. The modem timing out with error codes 16 and 24. Have confirmed all connections. Direct connect to modem (no splitters), eero 6 mesh network without issue. 

When will Arris Surfboard S34 cable modem be out for sale at Amazon, Best Buy or Walmart?

My apologies very novice at IT issues.  Have a Tesla solar gateway that need to connects w 2.4 and can’t seem to get it connect to my sb8200.  Sorry to bother, can anyone guide me to how to allow for this slower connection? Thank you. 

Hello,I want my PC to be connected directly to the S33 with the 2.5GB port, while my router mesh system is connected to the 1 GB port.  Based on testing and what I read this is not possible as the S33 will only cater to one connection for because of IP addresses. My question is if I buy say a Cerio POE-PD04S+ PoE Splitter plugged into the 2.5GB port will I be able to successfully connect both my PC and Mesh router to the POE? Appreciate the tips in advance, currently I just have the Router plugged into the 2.5GB port while the PC is connected to the router’s 1GB port. I could possibly test having the router connected to the 2.5GB using its 1GB port then plugging the PC to the router’s 2.5GB but assuming that wouldn't work.

I’ve been using a SB6183 for a number of years now, and yesterday I was told by Infinity techie that my incoming speed was GREAT (better then 1000mbps), but it was my modem that slowed it down to 45-55 mbps. How is this happening when the specs on the modem says it does up to 686 mbps?So lets say i need a new modem,...maybe the follow on product SB6190. Looking thru various sites does NOT give me a lot of confidence this modem is any good?? Can these relatively simply units be that hi-rate faulty? Then I saw on a Comcast/Infinity community forum where Comcast themselves were defeating some installations of hi-speed modems,...some of these from ARRIS ??What is this world coming to,...a whole lot of mis-information. I just bought this modem (SB6190) and am already at my wit’s end trying to get it to work with my router! I was able to activate the modem myself via the Xfinity app no problem, and it works just fine when I connect the modem directly to my computer via LAN.HOWEVER, the instant I try to connect the modem to my router, it simply will not work! My router’s light indicates that it isn’t connected to the internet, and when I try to configure the router via LAN connection, it says it can’t find its assigned IP address. I’ve power cycled both the modem and the router several times in the correct order (i.e., power both off, power modem on, wait until connected to Xfinity, power router on), but the problem persists.To make sure this was a modem problem and not a router problem, I re-activated my Xfinity Gateway and plugged it into my router into that. And hey, what do you know—everything worked flawlessly!So, can someone PLEASE help me figure out how to get this thing

You know that little world globe that's normally position down in the right-hand corner of your screen. Right now it's not a globe but an icon of a computer screen instead.When I hover over that icon, I get that the 5Ghz Linksys routed is connected.   But when I open up that icon, where you would normally hit "connect" it say no internet connection. Thats my problem.  I just changed out an SB6141 and all connections worked.  I added this new SB8200, and I’ve now got no internet to connect to my Linksys WBT3200ACM router.But my cell phone, tablet, and laptop all connect to the router with a strong signal.  Its just this desktop HP that no longer works right.  Destops 2years old.I did get the correct connection momentarily when unplugging the router and resetting but that lasted but a few minutes
