Wi-Fi Modems

I just finished setting up my new router+modem and I can’t connect to my 5g internet even though I put in the correct password. I can connect my 2.4G internet though

We have an Arris G36 with a router mesh system and our Nvidia shield plugged into it. Both the wifi to the router and the ethernet connection drops 5-10 times a day. I have rebooted it, unplugged it for 5 minutes, reset it. disconnected everything and reconnected. Nothing seems to fix it.

Good afternoon! I have been trying to get support to my SBG8300 and when I try to chat or call it wants to check warranty but it says the serial number doesn’t match the model. I do have the item on my hand and it does never work. Could somebody please help me getting this fixed?

I have had trouble with the G34 since I bought it. Slow speeds, trouble connecting & tv pixelating. I have 1g and my download is between 500-700 mbps. Xfinity blames Arris, Arris blames Xfinity. I upgraded my service to 2g and a technician came out and verified that’s what I’m getting. I called Arris tech support and was told that 700 was the best I could do. He also told me G34 won’t work on 2g service but the G36 will. Best yet when I asked about the 4g download speed in big orange ad on the front of the box he said that I have 4 ethernet ports 1g for each port.

I have a new Surfboard G34, and I am wondering how would I remove or block an unwanted device that may be connected to my network? I see the connected device list in Surfboard Connect for iOS. There were other topics here that are currently closed, which stated that I should be able to see a remove option from that device details in that connected device list. But I can only expand the device card to reveal the details, i do not see any option to remove or block. I have also enabled parental controls and I still do not see any option to remove or block an unwanted devices anywhere.

I activated my G36 through Xfinity. I used surboard phone app, it connects failed. I used 192.168.0.1, whats the email and pw I use to login? the one same as my community account?

I'm having a problem with my internet last Monday my internet stopped working I called the customer service and still nothing is working I unplugged the box numerous times and still nothing. What can I do to solve this and this morning I called the customer service and they saying that it's closed so what can I do????

I just set up a G54 modem. My cell phone can connect just fine, but when my laptop connects, it says there is no internet. What's up?

I upgraded my modem from a sbg8300 and my new modem G34 is slower when it’s supposed to be faster what going on I feel like I spent 200 bucks for nothing do I need to turn something on from the surfboard app to make the WiFi speed faster?? I would like some help if not I’m going return it and go back to my old modem they told me I needed to upgrade since my modem outdated but why my old modem faster then the new one doesn’t make sense I’m lagging like crazy with this G34

How do I totally remove the 2nd home Wi-Fi and guest Wi-Fi from G34. Disabled all of these but Wi-Fi signal still transmitting.

My Internet connection stopped! Please connect my internet! Help

I recently had a power outage do to an animal getting on the power lines. While all my appliances got power, my modem only had the online light on blue solid and no wifi light. I called my ISP thinking it might need to be re provisioned and they couldn't detect the device. I tried resetting it, restarting it, connecting on different ports and nothing.I cant access the gateway via ethernet. I think it might be fried and need a new one if not please let me know what I can do

What user ID and password do I use to connect to the Internet?

I have a brand new G34 modem/wifi router that’s not even a week old. Worked great for first two days. Now everyday I loose internet connection but I still have a blue light on my modem. I unplug It for a few minutes and then it’ll work again.

Does the Surfboard G34 allow laptop computers attached via WiFi to utilize the Atmos Agent (i.e. VPN) to create secure connections with host applications? While other laptop computers also attached via WiFi not running the Atmos agent? Thank you

How do I fix my SBG7600AC2 WiFi cable modem? The power indicator light is on, but no other status lights turn on. No send/receive light, online light, wireless lights, or WPS light. My WiFi network is not being broadcast or not discoverable when I try to connect my devices. I have unplugged the power cable for 15 seconds, and power cycled the modem, but it still does nothing except show a power light. I also checked that the coaxial cable is tight against the back of the modem and tight against the cable outlet on the wall.

I set up my G20 gateway (wifi router and modem combo) and it keeps dropping the connection periodically. Anywhere from every 5-20 minutes or so, it will suddenly cut out and I’ll lose internet access. I had to set this up through xfinity as the app didn’t work so I can’t really use that to see if there’s anything that stands out on the surfboard app. I’ve checked the coax cable and it seems fine and it was functioning properly with my last modem. I’ve done an internet speed test and when it’s working it says my internet is very fast.

So, I have a Arris G34 that is approximately a year old and its not broadcasting ssid and ethernet ports not working. Everything was working great till I moved to a new house. I have Cox internet and I am receiving good signal. I can plug cox panoramic in and the internet works just fine. When I reboot or factory reset the G34 the ethernet ports light up while it reboots but then turn off and do not come back on no matter what I have plugged In to them. I cant seem to figure out how to login to the modems web page to check out the setting due to lack of internet.... Any advice/help before I try and do a warrenty claim will be greatly appreciated!

A few hours of searching and all I can find are people wanting me to look at my WAN-side DHCP. I cannot emphasize enough that I’m asking about configuring the DHCP server functionality within the G36 that hands out IPv4 addresses to LAN client devices. Nothing whatsoever to do with WAN side IP assignment. Having tried to be excruciatingly clear, I want to know how to configure the IP address pool [and IP reservations] for the so-called ‘Secondary’ and ‘Guest’ subnets. Through the web GUI, I configured DHCP for the ‘Primary’ subnet to be 192.168.0.101 through 192.168.0.200, and now I want to know where in the web interface I would set the address pool for ‘Secondary’ to be 192.168.26.101 through 192.168.26.200, and similarly to set the ‘Guest’ address pool to be 192.168.28.101 through 192.168.28.200. Presumably, if I find where to do this, I’ll also find the ability to declare IP reservations. I read somewhere not to try logging into 192.168.26.1 or 192.168.28.1 with ‘password’ as it fo

I can’t figure out how to connect my G34 to my Netgear Nighthawk EAX20 extender? Any instructions? The nighthawk app can’t find the G34 & the G34 can’t find the Nighthawk. I’ve tried both 5ghz & 2.4 ghz

My G34 router is 2 years old and has worked flawlessly for most of that time. However over the past two months my internet connection has gone down about 4 times for no apparent reason. Unplugging and restarting the router fixes the issue but I am concerned this will keep happening and possibly increase. Do routers wear out?
