Wi-Fi Modems

I have tried multiple times to log into my new G34 router/modem at 192.168.0.1 and it refuses to allow me to signon with my credentials.I have reset the modem 3 times now and still cannot get in.I have tried also to log in after resetting the modem without using the sufrboard app, but then I have no email address to key in.Tried to follow directions to login as admin - but there is no ‘user name’ field to key into.How do I fix this?  

Hello. My new Arris SBG8300 has WAN MAC and HFC MAC numbers but no CM MAC number. Xfinity wifi activation cannot continue without a CM MAC number. Any help?

After an initial setup, I configured my wireless network to have 3 SSIDs. 1) Main Family Network2) Guest Network3) IOT devicesthis setup took up a considerable amount of time and required some assistance from Arris Support.  without provocation or request, my G36 reset itself to its factory settings. ​​​​​​​any insight as to why this happened and how I can prevent it would be greatly appreciated. 

When the SBG8300 Firewall IPv4 is set to Max my Win10 client cannot sync time using external NTP servers.  I can change to the Firewall to Typical and then syncing to external NTP servers works.  But I have also configured the SBG8300 Time Server and I am wondering how to point the Win10 client at the SBG8300 time server so that I can leave the firewall set to MAX?  Is there a local IP address related to the time server?

I have a modem and have not used it for years. I do not have the password. How do I change the password without knowing the current one?

I have purchased a Arris SBG 7400AC2 modem and our Vonage VOIP service is experiencing audio issues ; no audio from calling party regardless of service they are using (VOIP, LL, mobile)

What is the best mesh system to use with G34? 

hello,My printer was working before but this week, somehow my g36 router cannot connect to my canon Mx490 printer or vice versa. It cannot detect the printer or any printer at all. I even bought a new hp printer and the hp printer can’t connect to the g36 router? please help?

I have a sbg-10 modem. I have tried linking a Wansveiw camera and a Kasa camera with no luck. Went through setup steps with Kasa customer service . We tried everything. Tried UTube no luck . Tried a different phone . Very low traffic where I’m at , very rural  , saw no reason to change channel on modem like Kasa suggested. Anyone have a suggestion Thanks.    Pat

I incorrectly bought a G34 modem from Walmart.  IN realizing the mistake I quickly turned around and went to return the product.  However, Walmart would not take it back and gave me a number to call.  That number just goes to a recording. The box has never been opened.  I have been working on getting a refund for a while now with no success.  How do I get a refund for this brand new product?  Thanks.

How do you disable DHCP on the G34? I went in to Gateway > Connection > Local IP Network > IPv4 and unchecked “Enable DHCP Server”, and  in Gateway > Connection > Local IP Network > IPv6 unchecked “Enable DHCP Server”. Am I missing anything? Thanks.

Is there a way to backup your configuration on the G34. According to one post on the G36 there isn’t an option for these units. Is this correct?

I thought it was my modem going out....so I bought the G36 so I can have service! Trying to replace this G-34 is a headache! And now...NOW as I am reading...my G34 is more than likely good...just missing the update... I've lost a lot of money and time over this stupidity!!! And the QR Code keeps coming up as INVALID CODE!! SINCE THEY MOVED AWAY FROM A SIMPLE MAC ADDRESS AND SO FORTH...ITS EVEN MORE CONFUSING...🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️21 DAYS AND COUNTING....no Internet Signal in my house😤😤😤

Hello,my internet is dropping in pockets. I have the attached modem router below. I work from home and constantly see the internet dropping pockets a few times a day. I also have to set up connection for two of my Rokus at least 6 to 7 times a day on this router modem. Could someone please say an answer aside from “check the wires”?  I’m extremely dissatisfied with the same stock responses I’ve seen in threads such as this. My service is optimum and I’m on Long Island  

My SBG8300 is generally reliable and provides close to the gigabit service I’m paying Xfinity for. However, on random occasions between 2 and 6 days, the WAN speed will suddenly plummet to what appears to be a few hundred (yes, hundred) baud. I can get intermittent pings to go through and sometimes even small chunks of http data, but that’s about it. Not even able to load a full web page before timeouts occur.Logging into the Arris web interface and selecting Restart is sufficient to correct the issue (as is a power cycle) - for a few days, until it happens again. It usually happens overnight - the WAN connection is fine when I go to bed but it’s often essentially nonexistent when I get up in the morning. Sometimes this is every couple days, sometimes it’s good for up to six days. I think once it may even have lasted for nearly two weeks, but that was unusual.There are no splitters or any other such devices between the modem and the feed from Xf

I have Xfinity Comcast cable internet service.  I am provisioned 1000 Mbps download / 20 Mbps Up.When I run speedtest either from Xfinity or speedtest.net, the test says I roughly get around 300MB download give or take. I had Xfinity come out because I didnt think I was getting the 1000 MBPS service.  They tested from the Coaxial cable prior to the cable modem a 1000 MBPS service with their meter equipment.  They tested coming from any of the LAN ports with their meter equipment and it shows getting 1000 MBPS service.  But for some reason when my ethernet cable is plugged into my PC or laptop from any of the cable modem LAN ports, I am getting approx 300 MB.  Xfinity even hooked up their laptop into one of the LAN ports and they also saw an approx 300 MB download speed too.Is the SBG8300 throttling down the internet speed when using the LAN Ports?  When I use the WIFI 2.5 and 5, my speeds are what they should be.  The 5 GHZ is showing

I just replaced my xfinity wifi modem with the SBG8300. Contacted xfinity and they did all they could on their end. I ha e wifi but no internet connection. What do I need to do?
