Every device that joins the network has to sign in to the internet. Why? I can only sign in to the internet if on my computer. I have SBG10 modem with wifi as well. As of today, I cannot get a specific website I use for work. The Wowway rep says that it is a modem problem and there must be some restrictions turned on somewhere. I’ve been using this website for years. I can access the website from my phone only when using date, not when using wifi. So it makes sense that he is correct in his determination. Help please!!!! My warranty on the modem expires May 2023. If I need a new one, where do I go to activate the warranty/replacement? 

Hi all. I have the SBG10 modem with Xfinity internet service. Have had this for a year with not many issues. About three months ago we purchased a WiFi extender to put downstairs as the Apple TV kept disconnecting.  However in the last week all of our devices keep intermittently dropping off. The downstairs TV will be fine but the upstairs won’t connect. I’m getting kicked out of Teams meetings constantly around the same time each day. We’ve contacted Xfinity who say things are fine on their end, and disconnected the modem so many times.  Can anyone advise on next steps? I see people posting logs, but I’m not even sure how to access those. Thanks in advance. 

Where do I find the information on how to set up a password?  I dont have a Smart Phone, just a computer, so I’m trying to find if there’s an on line Dashboard or what.

My internet has speed drops to less than 10. Mbps 

I was trying to change my password to my SBG10 by following the steps, but instead it showed locked mode since I tried to do change it twice. Who do I sent a support ticket so that they could unlock it?

I have two homes. One with a SB8200 and one with a SBG10.  Can I manage both from the SURFboard Central App?  I am not seeing how I add/configure a modem/network for a second home.  I have the home with the SB8200 in the app.

My SBG10 surfboard router/modem does not show 2.4g network option. It only shows 5g. I need 2.4 g connectivity for older devices.

I have an SBG10. I checked my WiFi network using Fing and my gateway is showing a TiVo Premiere at 192.168.0.1. I don’t have a TiVo Premiere. My Arris router is listed at 192.168.0.252.  Any explanation?

Computer Connected wireless via Ethernet.  I keep getting logged off internet but Internet Provider won't give assistance; says it must be modem.  I don't think so!

I have an SBG10 inside my shop. It is a metal building. I am ready to install a Ring wireless floodlight security camera outside near roofline. I cannot get a decent signal outside the building on either 2.4 or 5ghz. I maybe get 1 bar on 2.4 but not consistently. I am thinking of a range extender or repeater. your suggestions, thoughts and a suggested model would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.  

My sbg10 has no power, I have unplugged from the outlet and plugged into another and still not working, what can I do? 

I would like to remove a cached wireless client from the list of wireless clients on my 2.4G network so it is forced to re-establish itself as a new “client” on the gateway, maybe with different IP address.  I don’t see that it is possible though.  I can do this on other wifi routers but maybe Arris does not provide this capability?  If not, do I need to leave the device turned off for a number of days before the record will auto-purge? Thanks,Lucius

I originally used my Arris SBG10 a few years ago, before the new app came out. I just recently added another internet package to my home to connect security devices to and planned on hooking it back up. I did a factory reset and now i have no idea how to set up wifi... please help!!

I am trying to create my own user id and password but I get this message: Invalid user name or password, or your access has been locked due to multiple failed login attempts! I’ve re set my modem 3 times, cleared my cache and still locked out. 

greetings, I recently purchased an ARRIS surfboard SBG10 through Best Buy. When I was researching this item, the website indicated it was a modem and router combo, however, when I picked up the item, the description on the box only said ‘wifi cable modem’. When the technician came to install my service, he informed me that this was only a modem and didn’t have the router.I checked other images, including the ones on the ARRIS website, and the box description said ‘cable modem and wifi router’ clearly for product SBG10 while mine does not say this.My question is, how can I verify the device I purchased is a combo gateway instead of a just a modem as described on the box? Thanks

Xfinity has been bugging me about my ancient modem so updated with Arris SBG10 modem/router, which I got from Ebay.  Overall setup was straightforward and it basically works, but DHCP service is weird.  I add entries to the list of reserved clients, following the “add”/”apply” protocol.  I get the refresh/log back in routine as described in the tutorial.  But the entries don’t stay on the list over refresh/reboot. I also tried changing a linux computer on my home LAN to Fixed IP, but the SBG10 doesn’t consistently accept that address. Sometimes it does, sometimes it assigns a new address.  My SBG10 also seems erratic just showing all attached clients.Is the SBG10 known to do this sort of thing? Perhaps I just got a bum example?

Can removing the 2.4GHz link increase 5G speeds?

Hey all,I’ve got an SBG10 modem that I’ve owned for almost two years now. I’ve had an issue the entire time where the Internet drops randomly for a couple minutes while I’m still connected to Wi-Fi. I’ve had about 6 calls with customer service trying to solve the problem. We’ve tried power cycling, factory resets, boosting levels, changing the location of the device, changing the cable, changing Wi-Fi channels, and even disabling wmm. It’s not the service provider-I changed states and providers and still had the same problem. (I had xfinity at first and blamed it on them.) I’ve got Spectrum now, and they say the problem’s with the modem. Anyone else have any other ideas?

i just bought this sbg10 on ebay.  when i go to enter password it is rejected and say i am blocked for too many incorrect login attempts    can anyone help me please? 

Xfinity phone techs are telling me I need a new modem if I want to get more than 30mbps.  And they are telling me it is no longer compatible and that i need to update the firmware. I am aware that the 600mbps plan I am on is more than the SBG10 can give me but at my location we have never been able to get even close to 350mbps download.    If I replace my unit with another modem/Wi-Fi unit, will it be the magic bullet, or will I still get the same 150-245mbps I have been getting for the past year and a half?

Hello Comunity I just recently purchase an SBG10, to replace my old modem and router, the device is now activated with my ISP comcast, I didnt realize till now that i need an LAN jack for my phone services from Xfinity, can i use one of the ports on the back of my arris to connect my phone? 

Error code 0015-1805 internet is working and connected to my provider (Xfinity) but, can’t get the app is allow me to set up actual network….. 

I recently purchased a SBG10 Modem / Router.I set up an account at NoIPAfter configuring the DDNS to work with NoIP update service I see no way to confirm that it is working.How would this be done?
