Not tech savvy. Purchased a G20 at the recommendation of Best Buy for gaming. I have a 600mbps plan. I'm only getting 6 download and 1 upload after swapping my previous router-modem. Talked to ISP and they're not sure. Is there a setting I need to change? I didn't see one on the website for the modem-router. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. 

I have a Surfboard app for our internet modem at our permanent home. We just purchased a new arris modem for our temporary home and I can’t seem to open a new app because it recognizes the one I already have for a different modem. I have a different email address I can use but it won’t give me an option it just opens it up to the one I already have. 

Hey Everyone! I need ypur HELP sticking to XFINITY.   i'm not technical enough to really understand all of this. They are blaming my modems.For the reason, my download speeds are so slow. NETGEAR Night Hawk, NETGEAR C7000 2 and ARRIS G34. Slow download speeds. Ranging from 150 to max 350 ish.I had a 1000 gig plan. Just upgraded to 1200 because it was less expensive. Im in VERMONTI was told by a buddy of mine an independent contractor that xfinity and spectrum, both throttle down speeds to all other modems EXCEPT their own and or the 5 or 6.They have on their approved list on the website. Specifically the models on their site. I have been dealing with this issue for years now. Got in touch with xfinity, had a tech come out. Techs have been here at least 6 times in 7 years. They don't see any i

My SB8200 power light turns off every 10 seconds and when it turns off the upload link light turns on for one second. This then repeats endlessly. I've tried hiding thr factory reset button for more than 10 seconds and nothing happens.  I've called my ISP and they can't ping the modem. I've tried unplugging the coaxial, moving it to a different outlet, unplugging the ethernet and nothing seems to change it.I've had the modem for 1.5 years and it's only happened one other time but the ISP was able to fix on the call.Any thoughts here?

About a month ago my s33v2 starting making a high pitched whining noise.  At that time the internet was slow but power cycle fixed it (the internet, not the whining noise).Now the modem seems to have stopped working completely.  I power cycled the modem and router several times, tried multiple cables (both to router and directly to PC) and neither the router nor PC detects any connection.  Checked with xfinity and their service is fine but no modem is detected.  Held reset for awhile but still nothing.Modem is still under warranty but support is closed today.  Any advice?

I recently purchased an Arris G34. The two home Wi-Fi networks are enabled to broadcast as well as the guest Wi-Fi network but the guest network isn’t broadcasting. I am unable to see it in any device. Any guidance would be appreciated.On what I don’t think is related, for some reason the primary home network kicks some of my devices out as having an incorrect password despite repeated attempts to re-enter while other devices accept the same exact password. I’m pretty sure they were correctly entered. The second home network doesn’t do that--so I just use the second home network as the primary. But just throwing it out in case someone thinks I have a defective device. 

I have Cox for Internet. Cox support told me to use a switch (not a router) to connect two computers to the modem. It seems like a simple thing to do, and I want to be sure to get a compatible switch. Any recommendations for a switch?I'm also considering having a Cox technician come to my house to do the setup in case there are things I don't know that need to be done -- currently have their Panoramic modem/router. Is that a good idea?

S34 activated with xFinity for “internet only” service, no voice. The 1-Gig port does not seem to be useable, at least for my VOIPo service.Do xFinity settings capture the 1-Gig port, even if xFinity voice is not used? If they control it, given I don’t use xFinity voice, can I log onto the S34 and somehow open the port for my use? If not, can I request xFinity to release the 1Gig port to me?I get it that I can work through the various xFinity support options and at some point get this eleveated a time or two to get to someone there who can actually answer my questions and not just read me scripts, but I am hoping an S33/34 user has been through this and can provide practical info first pass.Thank you, Bill

I have a T25 modem and XFinity as my cable provider. Apparently I am not getting the internet speeds available because the firmware on my modem is not up to date. There is no information about the firmware version on the surfboard app that is connected to the device, and I'm also not able to log into the modem settings using the IP address and any browser. I just get an error message saying that that IP address cannot be accessed. Of course my warranty on the modem just ran out last month, and I do not want to pay $40 to access the surfboard customer service. Has anyone had this issue where they cannot locate the firmware version let alone log in to their account to update it?I am aware of the disputes between weather it is Xfinity or Arris that has the capacity to update the firmware. I was just on a very long phone call with Xfinity and they are insisting that it is nothing on their end to update the firmware. I have an arris svg2482ac modem/router and i was gifted a device that requires i have a 2.4g wifi network as opposed to the 5G wifi network i currently set up through this modem/router, how do i add a 2.4 wifi network to this modem/router so i can connect this device? Is there a specific app I should add to my phone to affect this? How do I connect my phone to this modem/router - I guess which surfboard app do I need? Can I please get basic advice or instructions to help here? Thank you, Simon.

How should the G36 be configured to pass a GRE Tunnel through the public IP address?

I have one working arris 4302 and one new one.  Is there a way to download or back up the software from the working box and then load it into the new box? 

Some of my devices won’t connect to the WiFi. It allows me to select the SSID and password but won’t connect. My old router had specific channels for 2.4 and 5G so it didn’t have a problem. Any suggestions?

My new S33v3 modem works fine and is connected to Xfinity. When I try to register it with Arris for the warranty, when the online form validates the model, it tells me the serial number and model number do not match. I’ve tried entering the serial number multiple ways, same results. I verified the serial number through logging into the modem, as well as the tag on it. The registration screen tells me to call a phone number which is answered - no voice or message - then disconnects after a few seconds. If I try the online chat, it asks to check the warranty status first, which of course it fails because I am unable to register it. Any suggestions? Not feeling all warm and fuzzy at this point. This is admittedly a minor thing, but annoying. My S33 modem recently had a problem booting and connecting. Thanks to this forum, we figured out it was the power supply going bad; substituted another from an external hard drive and the modem booted and connected fine.My 2-year warranty on the modem runs until Sept. 2025, but when I contacted support about a replacement power supply, I was told that “accessories” are only covered for a year.Ok, cool. But where is that documented? The warranty card for the modem says software is covered for 90 days, and “(B) for the Product (excluding software), for a period of two (2)years from the date of purchase from ARRIS or from an authorized ARRIS reseller.”I don’t see any mention of accessories, though I do see a paragraph that says, basically, if it doesn’t have an Arris label on it, it’s not covered at all.  The power supply is not Arris branded, so, technically, I guess they don’t have to cover it at all.So what  incentive is there for Arris t

where is SBG8300 manual?

We have a Verizon Arris VMS1100 cable tv box for my fios service.Is there an app or a way that I can remotely control using my Samsung Android phone when I’m not in the house?  My elderly mom sometimes has problems changing the channel or raising the volume using her factory remote control.   If I can do this using my phone for her, then this would save me a lot of time and aggravation with this! Thanks.  

The printer won’t allow me to put in password for new router/modem. This replaces an older arris that was connected. Internet is working ok; printer shows the modem but won’t connect to it. 

I recently upgraded my Wi-Fi router to the Ares G34. I've been noticing and experiencing some slower 5G Wi-Fi, and it's a lot slower when I'm in my bedroom, when my modem and Wi-Fi router is in the living room. I live in a roughly 800 square foot apartment and I'm unsure of why I'm experiencing this or I might be wrong and this might be normal.

Just got the SBG8300 model which has the same password for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. On my phone, two wifi names come up: “Guest” and “5G” type. The “Guest” network is connected using the default given password; however, when trying to connect to the 5G, it says “wrong password”. 

I am using iptv and tivimate to stream TV. they stoped working and will not let me reload them. I get good internet speed but can not login to these providers. Contacted them and everything is working fine on there end. Before that my speed was slower then amazon tv speed. Reset the modem and fire stick and still nothing.

Won’t accept my passwork when I attempt to use 5G, I’m only able to use 2.4 on my Arris G20 modem

So, i activated bridge mode NAT by error and now i got no internet connection, the model is: TG2482A and i don’t really know what to do… if someone can help, i would apreciate it

I recently put my  SBG6580 modem in bridge mode by accident and I only have one modem how can I disable it without an hardwired connection.
