G34 | G36

I have a hacker that’s very persistent and kept trying to sign in but I blocked him with the Fing app..he’s not on multiple scans I use but surfboard central shod he’s online in my network..can he hide himself from scans..need help..

Attempting to set up my new G36 to my Cox cable. I have registered the device with Cox. I am connected with a solid blue light. I can't complete set up using the app. If I navigate to the 192.168.0.1 site, I can see a dashboard, but haven't got a password to log in. What in the heck am I doing wrong. 

If I click the above in the surfboard app Or if I try on Laptop: after I click LOGIN both spin and then shows this:I’ve had browser message before but it used to work. Now it doesn’t.what can I try to fix it thanks    

I literally just got home from buying a G34 Cable Modem for my home Xfinity network. However, when I go to activate the modem in the Xfinity app (the only way to activate it), it tells me that the CM MAC ID is invalid (I’m using the HFC MAC ID). I’ve tried manually entering it AND using both QR codes from the insert and the sticker on the bottom of the modem. Same result. I contacted Arris support, and they told me the HFC MAC ID matches their records. They had me try to activate again, same result: invalid MAC ID. I also tried using the Surfboard app (not Surfboard Central). It, too, tells me that the HFC MAC ID is invalid.  What am I doing wrong?

My g36 typically runs well with no issues. I have recently been issued a hp 840 g10 laptop for work. I have Xfinity gig speed. The hp laptop is the only device running slow at about 30mbps and the speed is the same hardwired or on wifi for both the 5 and the 2.5 network. When I go to the office I get over 400mbps. I have done all the normal trouble shooting but can't seem to find a way to make the connection faster. When I plug the same ethernet cable into my ps5 I get over 500mbps. Please help?

My internet company gave up on trying to help me.  When I try to connect to my network I get an error message that says “This network is operating on WiFi channels in use by several other nearby networks.  “  Tells me to try restarting my network and maybe it will help.  I restarted 4 times… same message.  Help

I am wondering if the G34 Wifi modem supports WDS? I have a second router that can support WDS, but I cannot find the setting for it on the G34.

I can’t enable the bridge network on my G34 because it’s asking for login credentials and I was NEVER prompted to create a user password when I set up my account HELP

I have an unknown device connected to my device that I suspect is not in my household. I have tried to block it but it still shows up in my Connected Devices list and I can still see a connection. I need it removed, please.

I have a G36 I bought a little over two years ago that I use with Comcast.  I haven't had any issues with the modem.  The only previous issue with connections turned out to be a cable that got damaged by my neighbor.  Comcast replaced the cable and all has been fine. Today it lost connection but the light was still blue.  If I disconnect power and reconnect, it will work briefly but then drop connection again.  I have 3 devices connected via ethernet and a bunch on WiFi.  I've disabled WiFi with no change.  I also disconnected each of the ethernet devices individually with no change.    Comcast doesn't detect an outage in the area and their AI support says things look good to my modem.  It can reset it successfully and see when it's not online if I disconnect it.  Gateway FW version is [edit personal information] NCS Anything else to try?  Hate to have to shell out for a new one when it's only a couple years old.   

II purchased a I purchased an Aris surfboard G 34 router a week ago. But now, when I connect a device to the 5G Wi-Fi works fine. When I connect device to the 2.4 G Wi-Fi it does not get Internet.  I have an ethernet plugged in Verizon cell signal extender that worked up until this afternoon.  Now it does nothing 

Seems like a recurring problem in the community security warning accessing the portal. Please provide help accessing the portal while the browser reports the SSL certificate is unsafe. What work around exists that is not beyond my technical capabilities! New box installation and have already had to work around the Surfboard Central App registration failure. 

Happens about 4 times per day, any solution other than rebooting gateway?

I have the G34, the first week I bought it, it worked great but now 2 months in the service is spotty. I have had to call my service provider so many times. I have tried rebooting and all. I do not know where to go if check if the software is up to date. I will like to use the service I am paying for. Is there a phone number to call for someone to help fix this issue?

I have an Arris G34 that I need to submit for warranty request.  How do I do this?  We have already gone through all trouble shooting steps with our provider as well as online through Arris with no luck.  We only have an orange amber light with no signal.Our device is under warranty until Dec 2025.  Please assist.Thank you

Just bought this g34 called Breezeline to activate it to our account. They’ve sent signals and resent signals. Still nothing. They said everything’s is working on their end. I have a blue blinking like on the front of the g36. When they send the signals over it does change the colors on the front from solid orange to slow blinking blue then solid green then blinking green to solid blue then fast blinking blue. Then the blue just stays blinking. The network name will pop up in our WiFi section but under it it says no internet connection. I’m willing to try anything. 

Last night my power kept going in and out for about 5 minutes, then finally went out. When it came back on the modem stayed on solid orange. I have never had this happen before with other power outages. I have tried multiple times to unplug it for 30 seconds, 1 minute, over 10 minutes..still orange when I plug it back in. I have tried to hit the reset multiple times holding it for the 10-15 seconds as well as 30 seconds and nothing changes. I checked the warranty and I am good until July. How can I file a warranty claim? 

As mentioned in the title my G36 suddenly stopped working yesterday. Not broadcasting a wifi network. Won't reset after holding the reset button for 1 minute. And just has this solid orange light. I checked and I am still in warranty.How do I go about filing a claim?

Hello,the year is 2024 (almost 2025) and you still ship with a firmware that expects firefox v63 and does not work with firefox v127 The error is “browser not supported” on an android phone, and of course “invalid email address” on a desktop.  That is rather grotesque as I am pretty sure I know my email address and it is the one I registered with Also current versions of MSoft edge (v126) have a warning of not being supported. Of course this will be ignored, which is a measure of the quality of your communications I hope that in 2025 you plan to at least support horse drawn carriages for returning the out-dated equipment you sell as new. As for firmware updates, I am hoping for at least cuneiform linear b.Thank you

I can connect via ethernet to my laptop from my Arris 36, but I am unable to find the wifi signal. What am I doing wrong. I am replacing my old modem/router. I did the new setup via the comcast app but my phone wouldn't scan the tiny qr code on the bottom of my modem so I manually input the MAC number, but no wifi. 

I need to change the default Wi-Fi names and passwords for my G36 router. When I go to the ARRIS login page (192 168.0.1), my login credentials are generating “invalid” message. As other individuals have said, I can see all of my network info on the screen at the login screen, I just can’t modify any of it because my email and password created through the app are not recognized.The new SURFboard Central Manager app on my Android mobile phone is absolutely useless.I’m able to get all the way through to the final step where the the Wi-Fi “should” be configured. But I continuously receive error messages that the Wi-Fi network can’t be configured.I’ve unplugged all the cords from the device.I’ve reset the device.I’ve uninstalled the SURFboard Central Manager app from my phone, cleared the data and cache, and reinstalled the app.I’ve reviewed instructions through ARRIS’ Customer Care site for the G36 device.Nothing is helpful in solving th

Just got back from a 2 week trip to find that our Surfboard isn’t working. No lights, no change after cycling the power. 

There have been several threads about this topic, notably: My situation is similar. I have been using my Arris G36 + Xfinity since January 2022. Within the past year, I have had to do more frequent reboots and the connection would drop somewhat regularly. However, two days ago, the internet stopped working. I reset the modem, and now there is only a solid orange LED light. I contacted Xfinity who helped me attempt a second activation and install a “software update”. However, this didn’t fix anything. The app won’t register my devise error code:0000-1612. I also don't have the password for the router login. how or were is it. 

Blue light has been flickering for 20 minutes. What is the problem? How do you access this unit to find out what’s going on? Apparently customer service has banker hours
