My ethernet speed seems to be capped at 100 and I can’t change modem to 1000. I tried but it reverts back when I hit save. I’m thinking it’s a link problem as speed & Duplex is set on auto negotiation but ethernet staus shows 100.

Everything is fine with logging into the admin panel, it’s just has anyone noticed the lack of accessibility? It’s insane how little you can do with it. Not too happy about this one, Arris! Edit: The lack of real customer support is apparent as well.

The literature in the box sent me to this site find the user guide. I don’t see it anywere.

Looking for a live chat so I can get this modem running again

Yesterday morning, I found my devices logged out of my G36 gateway and my Amazon Echo informed me that the password had been changed. I unplugged the gateway and went to work; it remains unplugged. I don’t know what to do next. Was I hacked? Is it safe to plug the router back in?

I have a G34 modem. Recently my house was robbed with a lot of items stolen. Was hoping to find some serial numbers for police tracking and insurance purposes of device that were on the network the last few months. My ISP cox can’t show the history because of the modem but I’m hoping arris had a similar logging within its Surfboard Central app or the web gui. Does anyone know if that exists and how I could find it?

I recently installed an Arris SGB8300. Prior to installing, I almost never had issues with audio during my meetings. Now, the audio frequently cuts out for about 3-5 seconds. I can still see peoples’ mouths moving and the live captions pick up what they are saying but I cannot hear it. During meetings, I am connected to the 5Ghz network. I have Breezeline/Atlantic Broadband for an ISP. Here’s what I’ve tried: --reset gateway --connect to ethernet --turned off guest networks --audio with multiple sets of headphones (corded and wireless) and straight from computer speakers --happens in both Teams and Zoom calls, also happens when private listening to Roku streaming --run speed tests (very fast internet) and wifi analyzers --manually changed network channel The only thing that has fixed it without fail is switching to my phone’s hot spot, so I am pretty certain it is the gateway. Is there a setting I should be looking for that I am missing here? I am pretty fed up with it and ready to sen

Two ports on back. 1GPS and “up to” 2.5 GPS. The 2.5 port implies I can hook up my 1GPS service into that port since it’s “up to” 2.5. Sometimes the cable provider exceeds the speed I’ve subscribed to. I saw it a lot when I was in the 500 MB/s plan. It’d go to 600-700. So now I have the 1GBPS plan. Should I plug into the 2.5?

I am getting multiple errors No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1; along with periodic MTA PROV: Failed. I have a T25 directly connected to cable from wall with SN: **** **** **** **** Comcast has visited multiple times and says speed to the modem is 800+ The modem is connected to eero 6 gateway. I am constantly getting connection interrupted on laptop and download speeds < 100. Are these messages related or is there any compatibility issues with eero or settings I need to change. I own a Surfboard SVG2482AC, getting downloads around 200 but xfinity plan should go up to 1200 mps . I have no issue with service but am clearly overpaying for service I am not receiving. Xfinity is blaming the modem (it is 3.5 years old) saying I should use their modem as they will always keep it updated. How do I know if it really IS my modem and if I should purchase a new modem, or if it is their service? I only discovered this issue when trying out Verizon 5G service and comparing speeds online, so I do not know if it has always been this speed or not. (disclaimer- This was put in by our builder/tech division and I am not super techy so please explain to me like a toddler :)

After an apple security update this morning, neither my iPhone or my MacBook can sign on to the household’s Wi-Fi. I am getting “invalid password” message. My Amazon Alexis is still connected. Do I need to change the passcode/password and how do I do that. I have a SB8200 modem with Linksys router.

The router is weak. The wifi signal won't reach the bedroom from the living room in a thousand square feet home. The manual claims the router covers 2500 square feet. Is this common or do I have a defective device?

Is there anyway to REMOVE a device from my connected list (IE: DELETE it from my ACTIVE list) Without BLOCKING the device or RESETTING my entire router. My problem is that i need to REMOVE my device entirely from being associated with my router, to allow me to reconnect it to my network. But it seems this router can only REMOVE a device by placing it on a block list? HELP PLEASE!

I have been having an issue with my Arris SBG7400AC2 modem/router S/N 1BK5 G244 5300 017 Recently I have had to re-boot the unit multiple times a day. I have confirmed that the connection from my provider (Optimum) is not the issue. I have confirmed that my unit is still under warranty. How can I get a replacement?

I am trying to connect a TP-Link XE75 Pro to my S33 Cable Modem. It wants to know the internet type and I contacted Xfinity and they told me that since it is not a modem provided by them, they cannot give me that information. They told me to contact Arris.

I am attempting to install an Synology NAS on my system. I can see the NAS on my computer, but the NAS unit (DS923+) cant access the internet. It's like the router is blocking it somehow. No problems with accessing the internet on the computer or via wifi. I am not well versed on this NAS stuff so any help would be great.

The power light will briefly turn on and then all other lights will flash together then all lights will go out. The modem will continue to do this every few seconds. Is this a hardware or ISP issue?

I added a W6U to my network. Have had conflicting advice from Arris. One tech took 2 hours and had me reinstall SB Central about 15 times on my phone. A second tech told me that the device was plug and play and if I had a blue LED, it was all good. Drove up 100 miles to play with the network with an m2 MacBook Pro purchased a couple months ago. That is the only device I have with a WiFi 6E chip set. It does not see any WiFi 6 network advertised, it only sees those from the G36. I used a network scanner app and I have access to the web interface of the w6U. Arris tech support call center was unable to tell me what to do using the web interface. Really annoyed at the lack of knowledge at the call center. Has anyone successfully added this device to your network, and if so, what am I missing?

As the Title says, checking my event log after provisioning was complete showed SW Upgrade Failed. Is this an issue with Spectrum not pushing the correct firmware? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have an Arris SB8200 and if I wire my Xbox directly to my modem my router stops receiving internet so I cannot get wifi. I've done a reset and unplugged everything in every combination i can. When I get my router to work as soon as I turn on my Xbox my router disconnects and I have to reboot everything. I cannot get both to work at the same time while connected to the modem. Does anyone have ideas or solutions? I just would prefer to have my Xbox wired to my modem rather than through my router if possible. It does work if I hook it up through the router my connection just isn't as good.

I see the G36 has the option to bridge any of the ethernet ports. Does selecting one of the ports to bridge place the entire G36 in bridge mode? Or is it possible to bridge only one port?

Brand new S33. Installed it last night, and it wasn’t talking. Woke up this morning, had not touched it, yet it was working fine. Proceeded to try logging in to https://192.168.100.1/Login.html I have carefully observed the serial number and tried to log in with the last 8 digits. The serial number is in this format: block 1 - 4 characters, mixed letters and numbers - spaceblock 2 - 4 numbers - spaceblock 3 - 4 numbers - spaceblock 4 - 3 numbers As such, the password I am using is the last digit of block 2, all 4 digits of block 3, and the 3 digits from block 4. That does not work. What am I missing here?

Is it possible to schedule a periodic reboot of a G36?

I'm having connectivity issues. I think there's some storm damage to my came lines. Because of that, I've been logging into my SB8200 often to look at the event log. I've noticed that I can't log in when the send LED is flashing. My PC just says it can't resolve the IP address. Is this normal? I can sign into it once the send LED is solid, but it doesn't make sense to me for the connection to the ISP to have any affect on the ability of my browser to find 192.168.100.1

For the last four weeks now I’ve been having T3 timeouts and packet loss. I was using a SB8200 and was told by xfinity that it could not handle the speeds I am receiving, so I purchased a new S33. After activation I was still getting T3 timeouts and packet loss. After many tech visits, we’ve replaced all lines and connections from the tap to and through my house to my modem and still I am having issues. I have checked the various guides and compared levels with what my modem shows and noticed the upstream power levels are slightly below what Arris says they should be, roughly 39-44 dBmV instead of the suggested 45 dBmV+. I spoke with an Xfinity supervisor today and they informed me that my S33 had reset over 200 times in the last 48 hours and says that their network techs have found no issues up to my tap. So I am wondering if maybe my S33 might be defective or if the slightly low upstream power levels are causing my problems.
