Hi,I have the following Arris Setup:Modem : S33Wifi Router : W121 Kit - Two W21 - SURFboard mAX Mesh Wi-Fi 6 system - AX6600 Speeds.My Xfinity Plan is 1200 Mbps download and 35 Upload.Everytime i run speedtest, i dont get more than 400 MBPS download & 30 MBPS upload.If i reach out to Xfinity, they are promoting the Xfinity Gateway for monthly rent.Any suggestions how to speed up using existing Arris S33 + W121 Kit Setup ?

I saw two questions on this topic and the response was that the latest firmware is pushed out to the internet service provider. But my situation is I chose not to use any router from the service provider and purchased this on my own. So I would have thought I should be able to update the firmware on my own as well (as and when there is a firmware update).

As the title states, everytime I get to the "register my device" part of this app, I get the wifi communication failure message with error Code 0000-1612.  I've reset my device numerous times with both hard and soft resets, un-installed the app, etc.  Apparently I need to get through that page to make an account username and password to get access to my admin page on my g54. This is more than frustrating.

New G 36 connected to Xfinity and online with solid blue light in front, via surfboard and Xfinity app setup process.  At the last step, Surfboard app delivers Something Went Wrong Error Code: 0015-1805 and then I can go no further.We are online and connected, I just want to access to edit network name and password.  

I have the Arris SBG7600AC2 as the cable modem and wireless router for Xfinity service. When I try to add the Arlo Netgear camera hub, it cannot get to it because port 80 is blocked. I set up port forwarding on the Arris but the port does not seem accessible. How can I troubleshoot this issue?

My S33 has been making an annoying high pitched sound for about a month.  The sound got significantly worse today and it stopped working. Plugged in my old sbg6580 and contacted my ISP and now I have Internet back. Arris expects me to have a cpu with an Ethernet port but not many laptops come with Ethernet ports anymore. Nether my laptop not my finances laptop have Ethernet ports. Arris says if I can't connect a computer to it there nothing they can do for me. Modem is still under warranty until Sept. 

Hi.  Is it possible to login to above device? I would like to turn off front LEDs. I have found device in router settings (Arris NVG578LX1) but all I seem able to do is change device name. Thanks.

What are the steps to update my SBG8300 w/WiFi access and password. I need to improve my security beyond default.  Thanks so much for any help.I prefer Arris over all other brands and have had great luck with it for years - quality technology and great value. Also, is there literature on the SBG8300 for resetting WiFi names and password?  I want to make everything difficult for wannabe hacker - maybe hide 5G connections.  Thank you 

I recently setup the modem/router and I get excellent speed on all devices except one, which is a HP laptop (when it is far from router).The speed that I am getting in the laptop (Windows PC) is excellent when it is on the same floor. But when it is in the second floor, the speed is 20-30 mbps. Interesting thing is that, the speeds are pretty good when I check from an ipad and chrombook while in the second floor.It appears that the PC is having hard time to get the performance just when it is in the second floor. Any idea what could be causing the slowness in the PC while there are no issues in chrome book and ipad. Thanks. Nm

Hello,I need to cancel an order I placed.Also, it is ridiculous that I have to make a forum post to get support. The support site only allows you to use the contact methods if you have the serial number. I obviously don’t have the serial number because I don’t have the product and don’t want to receive the product. There should be a support number on my order page to get support for the order I placed.

Can I use this modem/router as WiFi only as I purchased a standalone better modem?

How can I block certain ports? How can I use Firewall Rules to block UDP port 500?

Hey all.  So my new SB6190 is activated and working (Optimum is my provider).  I’ve tried what has been suggested in this forum in order to log in with 192.168.100.1, yet haven’t been able to.Question...does it matter?  Is it important to get access in order to change UN and PW?  Is there a security issue if not?Not too happy with Arris that logging in is an issue.  I was going to download the mobile app but I don’t download apps that require access to what’s on my phone.Thanks.

I just purchased Arris Surfboard S33 and I need my WIFI Username & Password. It is not in the box.

I have been unable to connect to the G34 modem for 3 days. Sparklight verified that the modem has an internet signal going to it and the light is solid blue one the modem. We howevere cannot connect laptops, phones, or TVs to the internet.I tried to reset it and then the app was unable connect to it to set it up. There’s an IP reset address 192.168.0.1 but it WILL NOT work. The Surfboard app has logged me out and will not allow me to log in. Please help. I pay $50 a month for wifi and I want to actually be able to use it. Side note: the modem is only a year old. We bought it in January 2024. 

I bought an ARRIS S33 2 years ago and just the other day it started making a horrible whining noise. Now it will not connect to anything. I get a red light and constant noise. I have unplugged and left it alone for hours and came back to try again and still it will not work. I wanted to contact support but the chat is down and there is no email/phone number. What can I do? My S/N states it is still within warranty. I bought an S34 for the interim while I try and get this fixed.

What app do I use to control users on my WiFi 

The only way I have logged into the web interface was with the coax cable disconnected. This isn’t helpful because it doesn’t show any data. I connect the coax cable and try again, browser says site can’t be reached and times out. Does Spectrum not allow access or something? This is my personal modem. Why can’t I access the web manager?

My G34 the wireless connection works perfectly but my ethernet ports don't work at all.I've tried getting new cables, restarting the router, resetting it . Nothing helped

I purchased a new s34 for Cox because it says they work together. When I try to set up S34 on Cox I get an error message stating they are incompatible. This is for Cox 2g  Docsis 3.1 system. 

I just activated my new surfboard modem S33 and my computer internet is working fine but my apple tvs are not even though they show connected to ethernet. Can you help with this?
