T25 can't check or update firmware

I have a T25 modem and XFinity as my cable provider. Apparently I am not getting the internet speeds available because the firmware on my modem is not up to date. There is no information about the firmware version on the surfboard app that is connected to the device, and I'm also not able to log into the modem settings using the IP address and any browser. I just get an error message saying that that IP address cannot be accessed. Of course my warranty on the modem just ran out last month, and I do not want to pay $40 to access the surfboard customer service. Has anyone had this issue where they cannot locate the firmware version let alone log in to their account to update it?I am aware of the disputes between weather it is Xfinity or Arris that has the capacity to update the firmware. I was just on a very long phone call with Xfinity and they are insisting that it is nothing on their end to update the firmware. I have unplugged the modem several times to force a reset, but without bei

Can't connect HP LaserJet Pro M402dw printer to G36

UPDATE: Pls disregard. I was able to ferret out how to get my printer to connect to the router using steps via the ‘192.168.0.1’ login on my browser.  Success!==============What am I not doing?My printer is still reading the old service provider’s modem and I can’t seem to access what I need to in order to connect/change the settings to the new SURFboard G36.When searching for answers on the Arris website, I also tried registering my G36 during steps and Arris cannot match the serial number.  Of course it’s the weekend and the Comm website is difficult for me to navigate to find the appropriate tech-support chat to fix this.So what do I need to do now to get my printer working and the G36 and printer to recognize each other?  I can go without my printer over the weekend, but come Monday, it’ll be hairy.I don’t own a smartphone or other device, but have to connect printer to router on a desktop (Mac mini).  My HP M402dw does not have a touchscreen.May I have some help, please?  TIA

I can no longer restart SB6141 modem from configuration page!

On the configuration page there used to be a button “Restart Cable Modem”. This button has disappeared. Who changed the firmware and how can I get the button back?(My ISP denies that they have changed the firmware on the modem that I own)EDIT: When I remove the coax cable and restart the modem, the reset and restart buttons are there! However, as soon as I put back the cable the buttons disappears 🙄.How can I keep the buttons with the coax cable connected?Several years ago, the buttons were there even with the cable connected..

SVG2482AC battery backup not working during blackout

My SVG2482AC battery backup is not working during blackout; when the power comes back the battery light on the modem is illuminated; when the power is out the battery light was off. Any help appreciated.

.SBG8300 bridge mode and eero devices

I bought an SBG8300 to replace the cable provider modem.  I also have an eero wifi network.  I started having issues and was advised to place the 8300 in bridge mode.  I did that and all hell broke loose as my eero network was no longer recognized.  I had to disable bridge mode on the router before things started working again.  Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated

G34 DDNS Dynamic DNS update issue

September 2024 I ended Dynamic DNS service from dyndns (seemingly no longer working) and set up my G34 DDNS settings correctly with https://freedns.afraid.org/ To confirm it was working, I manually set an incorrect address at freedns.Then I disconnected the G34 coax (simulating a network outage) and reconnected. After some time freedns showed the correct address so the DDNS update that ran after the cable network was restored must have worked.But now, November 2024, Comcast has apparently once again renumbered the network. freedns does not have the new address, but retains the address from September. I can reach a host inside the G34 local network (at a remote location) so I have discovered the newly assigned IP address from Comcast. But freedns does not have it, so DDNS updates are not arriving.Is it possible the November 2023 firmware update which broke port forwarding has minimized DDNS updates in some way?Please tell me how often DDNS updates are sent, after power up?

Arris NVG578HLX GPON Gateway

Ziply Fiber just provided me with an Arris NVG578HLX GPON gateway device for my new Fiber service. This service is a major upgrade from the DSL service I was getting before. At present, everything is working perfectly.What I can use help with is where can I get technical support for this product or find where I can get a more intensive user guide that the simple two page one that I can find online.FWIW, I have already been directed to the CommScope site, but this seems to be for contract-related services and still couldn’t find anything related to this gateway there … nor would I be interested in signing up for a support contract.Finally, is this community the right place to ask questions or get information about this gateway, or can someone provide me with some links on where I can find an equivalent community to go to?Thanks

sb8200 modem reboots randomly several times a day

I have an sb8200, and it reboots randomly several times a day. The cable company says everything looks good on their side. Is this a sign of a bad modem? I checked all the connections and reset the modem to factory settings,  but even after doing that, it still reboots, kicking us off all our streaming devices.

S33v2 solid white light upon powering, no connection, reset fails, buzzing moise

I’ve had this S33v2 device in place with eero 6+ mesh devices and Xfinity ISP since Aug of 2023…it worked well until 2 days ago. The WiFi dropped, I assumed it to be a temporary Xfinity outage. After several hours I checked the modem and it had a solid while (greenish) light, normally its blue. The device was making a high pitched buzzing noise that I hadn’t previously heard. I disconnected both the power and coax, waited and reconnected…the light immediately turned solid white upon connecting power. I attempted to reset the device via the recessed reset button on the bottom of the device. I followed the instructions in the user manual holding the reset button for over 7 seconds, the light never changed from solid white. I’ve attempted several more times, holding the reset for up to a full minute, same result, the light never changes from solid white. Disconnecting the coax and connecting only power, the light goes immediately solid white. To rule out faulty coax, Ii swapped the cable

How do i initiate a warranty Claim for S33 V.1

My S33 is rebooting constantly, overheating to the point where I had to put a fan underneath it and it's no longer helping.  How and where do I get the warranty process stated.  My Modem is under warranty till 2025.

How do I get a shell on my SBG7600AC2?

Hello. I am trying to get a shell on my SBG7600AC2, Bootcode Version 2.2.0.46, Hardware Version 2, Firmware Version 9.1.103AA78. I’m starting to love my previous modem (Actiontec Q1000) more, as it had a way to enable telnet and allowed me to use neat tools such as xdslctl to diagnose connectivity issues. Anyways, I have gone through all the web interface configuration pages and can find no such thing on my SBG7600AC2. I have searched the internet for results, apparently someone found there is a technician account with a password of the day. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get any combination to work. I contacted my ISP but they said they don’t set anything and didn’t know what I was talking about. Does anyone have any ideas?

Can you tell me the latest firmware numbers for the W21 series? I was gifted 2 of these and I’m trying to update the firmware. Apparently that is usually automatic, but I want to be sure.

When I bring up the remove device page in the app, it only shows the satellite. I need to disconnect an individual device on the network not an entire W21.

Surboard G34 Constant Amber light

I had sparklight as my provider for a year and the G34 worked perfectly. I recently moved states and had to change my provider to Xfinity and now I can't connect to internet. Since moving into the Apartment, the G34 when I plug it in goes green for 1 second then turns Amber color and stays like that. I have no access to wifi or internet through it. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Hello, I purchased my Arris Surboard S33v2 from the ARRIS Amazon store on Jun 20, 2023, and I noticed it has been making a constant sounds lately when it was silent a month ago. I think I am also noticing buffering in videos when I was not before. What can I do while I’m still within the 2 year warranty?​

Model:SBG7580-ACConnected wifi wire from another modem to use this device as a router. Met a problem that if I connect my device wired internet is working, but if I connect my device via wireless connection it's getting connected without ethernet connection.

I have a model NVG558HX that I bought from Verizon. I typed the model# in the ARRIS site and it doesn't come up. My question is, I got rid of Verizon and got a chip from AT&T and put it in. It turns on broadcast wifi, but won't connect to AT&T towers.Can I change a setting to get it to work?Or should I call AT&T to see what they can do.
