My SB8200 kept losing connection and now will no longer reconnect. I have went through the power cycles, hard resets, and replaced the coax cable. It feels like it’s running hot in-spite of being out in the open and has been moved away from everything. I have xfinity gigabit internet and was told that it was compatible.  What can I do to get this modem replaced as I haven’t had it that long

My internet provider says I need to set up the WIFI ip address for my wifi router. How do I do that? 

Hot to the touch. I can barely pick it up in summer. I have it sitting on my A/C vent with the furnace fan running 24/7. Temps read over 100 degrees F. Is this normal? It DOES affect my internet connection, signal get dropped and is very slow at times.

I places an order for a S34 Modem this past weekend, but have not yet received a confirmation email.  Checked spam folder and nothing.  I did receive a “Tell Us What You Think” Review email from Arris, but no order confirmation email Please advise,Thank you

In most cases, the modem’s Status page can be accessed by browsing to the modem’s address 192.168.100.1 from a client connected to the Wi-Fi router or connected to the cable modem. If you’re unable to get to the modem’s login screen, the workaround is to manually assign IP addresses in the device (Wi-Fi router or PC) that is directly connected to the modem.  NOTE: The workaround requires knowledge of assigning IP addresses to the PC or Wi-Fi router.  Refer to the user manual for instructions. Wi-Fi Client OnlyIf you only have a Wi-Fi client, the only workaround is to change the Wi-Fi router’s WAN IP address.      Log in to your Wi-Fi router’s settings page and navigate to the WAN or Internet settings.  Set the WAN IP address to Static and enter the following network addresses. IP Address: 192.168.100.200 Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Arris router- SB8200  Hey everyone, I’m trying to use my company VPN for my work computer with Cisco. I keep getting an error message saying my current location is restricting access to the internet, well I know my internet is working fine and when I talked to my provider they mentioned it could be the router. Does anybody have an idea of why I need to do to allow my company VPN to connect to the computer 

I have a SB8200 and use to have wow as my SP. Well I now have spectrum and it is still showing wow on the aris app under device details. How can I correct this?

Xfinity did a two week upgrade to infrastructure in our area and since it has been completed, my SB8200 goes down 5 or 6 times a day, typical for 10 to 15 minutes each time.  Xfinity is telling me that the modem may no longer be compatible with the newer signals.  I have a tech coming, but not sure what that will do.  keeping up with technology is always a moving target.

I purchased a SURFboard S33v3 modem a few months ago, but recently it frequently drops connection. I have tried multiple resets without success. My ISP confirmed that the line is fine and the issue is with the modem. After swapping the modem, my internet has been stable, which further confirms the S33 is defective.I would like to request warranty support for the S33. However, when I try to submit the request on the warranty page, it keeps saying that the model does not match the serial number. Could you please assist me with this issue?

SB8200 will not power-up, no lights.  Website will not validate the S/N to reach tech support.  Confirmed 12v at plug.  Purchased new Jan 2024, so still within warranty.

I recently purchased the surfboard Wi-Fi cable modem, and my HP computer will not allow me to gain access to the Wi-Fi. I have to use a ethernet cable to get on the Wi-Fi network. Isn’t that supposed to be a wireless modem? Am I doing something wrong?

Please check your model number and serial number andtry again. This information can be found on the label in back or on the bottom of your device.”Please help me correct this error so I can get support with my failing modem.

I suspect there is an issue with using the 2.5Gb Ethernet port on my Arris S34 modem at an actual 2.5Gb speed, I have repeated extensive testing which I'll summarize here, but I'm happy to go into more detail if needed. My ISP is Xfinity and I have been using the S34 modem without issue, getting around 940Mb downstream and 180Mb upstream via my 1Gb home LAN.  I wanted to upgrade my home network to 2.5Gb (some parts are already 10Gb) so I invested in some 2.5Gb hardware (NIC, switch, new CAT6 cabling, etc.) and while all devices are connected and working as expected at 2.5Gb (verified via iPerf3), I am not able to use the 2.5Gb port on the Arris S34 at the expected speeds. I have tried several different 2.5Gb NICs and they all exhibit the same behavior: S34 1Gb port connected to 1Gb NIC = no issues, 940Mb downstream.S34 2.5Gb port connected to 1Gb NIC = no issues, 940Mb downstream.S34 1Gb port connected to 2.5Gb NIC = no issues,

My S33 seems to have random brain fog.  Sometimes it’s slow to connect and sometimes seems to get hung up though the light stays blue.  I have near gigbit speed when tested..

My WiFi recently has been having issues connecting to wifi or even just randomly dropping. I’ve reset my router multiple times, but it just seems to be worse. Not sure what else to do. Any advice with this would be greatly appreciated

Hello,I have a S33v2 modem that’s not working anymore but still has warranty - I checked a few days ago. But now I try to contact customer service and I always get the message “We were unable to locate your serial number. Please check your model number and serial number and try again.” This is very aggravating and I don’t why this is called customer service when apparently several people have issues getting in contact and/or you’re forced to make an account here first to try to get in contact with someone who can help.

Have a S33 about a year old been with Xfintiy and recently switched to astound. Gave astound the MAC address and the modem won't connect. The S33 works with Astound as I have bought a new S33 and works fine but want to get my old S33 working so I'm not spending on a new modem Any idea what's holding the MAC address form connecting
